Don't believe their delivery dates - 21 weeks and still waiting
I ordered two chairs from Milano Direct in the middle of December 2020. ETA was stated as 10 to 18 weeks. I'm still waiting 21 weeks later.
Milano Direct don't ship from Italy; shipping is from China, and the ETA is for the ship arriving in Sydney port, not unloaded, clear of customs and in their warehouse. This was confirmed to me by their director, but only when I contacted them, again, at 20 weeks, to ask them why I still hadn't been contacted about delivery.
I'm now at 21 weeks. I'm still waiting for confirmation of their ETA. Had I known Milano Republic were going to be at least 11 weeks late from their best delivery date, and I'd still be waiting 5 months after making payment, I'd have gone elsewhere.

Don’t touch this company with a bargepole
I ordered four Hans Wegner replica barstools and paid nearly $200 to have them delivered to Melbourne which was exorbitant. I was disappointed by the finish which looked cheap (the timber looked plastic-y with no grain) and found them unsuitable for my home. When I tried to return them (within the specified 7-14 days) I was told I could only receive a store credit minus nearly $400 for freight both ways. I explained I could accept forgoing cost of freight but wanted a refund as any further purchases would again attract a further $200 delivery -...meaning I would pay $600 delivery costs total for a dubious product. Other companies offer refunds or use discretion in these situations. This was a hugely disappointing and costly experience for a disappointing product and terrible service. You can buy a better quality Hans Wegner stool elsewhere - don’t purchase from Milano Republic.

I wish I had came across this site before I purchased anything from Milano. If I have read other people's comments, I bet I won't have such bad experience. I bought 3 same stools from Milano, it took me 3 weeks to arrive after I emailed them asking for what had been going on! Also, I am living in apartment, the delivery man only delivered your furniture to front door of your building, meaning I have to carry all 3 big heavy boxes myself!
Secondly, what surprised me was one of the stool delivered to me was with the wrong height as you can see i...
Not what we were told....
The chairs we ordered arrived with chemical spills. How this was even sent for sale is beyond me. No reply when we queried it. Maybe like us, they're hoping this will just go away. Find someone else. Very disappointed.
Excellent service, excellent product
Our experience with Milano Republic is A+, serviced well and professional. We did not go on line but phoned and spoke with a young man called Chris who helped us with ordering an Eames white aniline leather chair and ottoman. We paid with credit card, got a confirmation and a week later the chair was at our place, 550 km north of Sydney. Super comfortable, looks lovely, and worth every penny. And to everyone complaining : this is a copy, people, if you want the real deal, pay 6000 dollars instead of the 1400. Simple as that. PS thank you, Chris, for your excellent service and patience. You went out of your way to send us one in stock, super fast, and in perfect condition.
PROMISED they had two rugs in stock and they did NOT very bad business
I ordered two rugs which i knew were being discontined and asked the sales rep to MAKE SURE they checked there was still some left. She assured me there were three left so i ordered two rugs. I ordered a larger rug in the same style and was then told the smaller rugs were in fact not in stock. I am now left with a larger rug and no smaller rug to match it in my entrance way. Either the sales rep assumed, lied or was just too lazy to actuallly do her job and check
Milano Republic Eames Chair
I bought an Eames Chair replica from Milano Republic. I would call it a Eames lookalike, No one in my family could sit in it for more than a minute. I would not recommend buying this without trying first. The chair shown on their site doesn't look like the one I received. I made my dissatisfaction know to the seller and they offered me a store credit shipping paid by me. The screw in floor protectors are missing so the chair is not useable. Stay away.
Very uncomfortable chair, not true to advertisement on Milano Republic Online Store
We received a Replica Eames Lounge Chair + Ottoman from Milano Republic Online store and found that the backrest of the chair is very upright compared the the online photos advertised on their website. We measured the angle and found that it is 10.5 degrees more upright than what the photo shows. We were concerned and asked if this was a fault with the chair however they responded and said there is nothing wrong with the chair. We then asked for a refund based on the fact that the online photos show a completely different back angle to the chai...r we received. They refused to honor a full refund and instead offered us a store credit but we have to pay for postage to return the chair from Adelaide to NSW. We are now liaising with ACCC for advice. Considering there is another post on Product Review with the same issue made 3 days ago we believe there is a manufacturing issue with the most recent batch of chairs they are currently importing I would personally stay clear from buying this chair.... For the time being anyway, until they sort out the manufacturing issue.
Eames lounge chair torture-chamber.
Recently acquired a premium leather replica Eames armchair from MR online. First the good - looks like a reasonable approximation of the real thing from afar and quality seems ok. Now for the bad- there are a few minor quibbles such as the ottoman not being secured to the base and the stain colour of the plywood shell being far too light however the biggest fault with this product is that it is so damned uncomfortable! After researching this ( http://midcenturycentral.com/the-best-eames-chair-replica/ ) I can only conclude that unlike the reall...y good rip-offs , the Milano Republic Eames lounge chair is constructed with the headrest set too far forward. This forces your head forward and you end up being hunched over in the seat rather than reclining comfortably as you do in the original. I cannot emphasise enough how unpleasant it is to sit in this chair. Other knock-offs used to counter this by offering a recline (or spring) mechanism which although not true to the original, actually improved the ergonomics of the chair. My advice is never buy one of the these from the internet unless you have first visited the showroom, checked the quality and tested the torture-chamber seating position for yourself.

After reading so many negative reviews, I took a risk and purchased from their Online Store, as they were the only company stocking the product. Had ZERO issues throughout. It was easy to order online, got my tracking number right away and delivery was efficient. The product looks exactly like what was on offer too.
Cheap and Nasty Lounge, Terrible Customer service
Purchase 2 seater wing back lounge, made of linen opened the box so disappointed in the quality, linen has so many pulls and brown marks out of 10 pushing to be a 1. Lovely big dirty hand print on front underside, called straight away sent photos video for $772.00 such a waste of money. Would never buy from again, customer service is a joke, their return email linen natural product has pulls and brown marks?? As a dry cleaner for 20 years I have never seen such poor quality linen, dont even get me started on lumps in the cheap foam. Wish I had...read their reviews before purchasing FUTURE BUYERS PLEASE READ THESE REVIEWS I am 50 years old and have never left a bad review for anything in my life, old school nothing nice to say say nothing at all! but this company sells cheap and nasty at top dollar, once they have your money thats it they wash their hands of you!!! Terrible quality products & service
Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased because from my experience I can confirm all the negative ones are true.
Ended up spending 3 months fighting with them to get my issue sorted. I purchased 3 stools & 1 of the 3 was significantly smaller than the other 2 stools. It looked ridiculous! (All 3 were different sizes to each other but the other 2 were at least minor differences as opposed to the major difference of the third one). When I reported the issue within 15 mins of receiving them, I was told to just appreciate the character of ...it. After multiple emails saying I was unhappy with the stool & wanted a replacement they stopped responding & ignored me. It wasn’t until I made a claim with fair trading that I got a response saying they would replace it. I waited a whole month for it to be sorted & when the replacement finally arrived it had multiple patches of paint missing (both large & small patches). I still to this day cannot fathom how anyone missed seeing it as it was very obvious. I then had to get a second replacement sorted meaning more wasted time waiting for couriers to pick it up & redeliver it. After 5 months of being stood down at work due to COVID I was finally given a return date. As my work schedule is very hectic I requested that the 2 replacement stool be delivered prior to my return to avoid any hassles. I gave them almost 2 weeks notice of this. In the end they said they weren’t able to have it delivered to me in time but were happy to work around my schedule. I gave them several delivery options & they assured me that it would be delivered on time as they had specially booked the service. It never arrived the day it was supposed to & I was told by the courier company that they had never booked the priority service. They then went ahead and rebooked delivery for a day I was working without asking my availability. When I told them I couldn’t accept it that day I was told they were no longer going to help me & it was my issue to sort out with the courier. In the end I had to take a sick day to wait for the delivery (leaving it on my doorstep was not a safe option & I did not have a car big enough to fit the stool in). The 3rd replacement is not much better but after 3 months, 3 different stools & hours upon hours of wasted time with waiting for couriers I’ve given up. The customer service is very poor, the quality of the product is the same & I will definitely not be purchasing from them ever again.

Refused to refund my order - awful customer care
Purchased a chair over the weekend as was getting back pain from current WFH situation. The chair had not shipped by Tuesday evening (which is fine) but was concerned about finances and decided that I really shouldn't have spent any money given COVID and my financial status.
Called the warehouse, they said no problem. Which I thought was great.
I received a call a few hours later from "customer service" informing me that they will not refund me as the "website policy" says it has to be cancelled within 24hrs - but they could give me a store c...redit, which I let them know was absolutely zero help to me. After arguing with them for some time and asking for: a) Some empathy around the situation given it wasn't even shipped yet b) Asking to talk to someone who could in fact make these decisions instead of merely quoting "policies"

ordered 3 stools from Milano Republic. Below is the chair ordered on the website and below is the chair I recieved. Different design to the one shown on the website.
Used their text message system to get in contact with them - whoever was responding did not seem to read the messages as she did not actually understand the issue and was asking me to send photos I had already sent and she had responded to.
Called the office phone number and got the warehouse. I was told I’d have to keep calling until I got the office number. Spoke to someone at ...the warehouse eventually and they did not read the email properly or respond appropriately. In response to this issue I was called a week and a half later. They told me it was my mistake!!! Which is confusing because when my husband spoke to them on the phone about the issue, the warehouse manager said there was an issue with the website. They did not apologise and blamed their tech issue on me. Disappointing and disrespectful conversation from contact at head office!!

I am very pleased to say that Milano Republic was very decent in refunding my money on a recent purchase i made, especially given the issue was a matter of perception. The colour of the items were not what i expected, and, as such they very graciously allowed me to return them. Thank you.
Very poor quality wishbone replica chairs
Chairs looked great when they arrived but after only a couple of month's light use the seating cord has loosened and now there are gaps in it. It looks terrible.
I tried to post a review on the Milano Republic website but they haven't let it publish - likely because it's not positive.

Worst customer service, after a month now refund procced
I bought an item 1 of April. In the item when I bought it was in stock. After they said it is out of stock. 2ndly they said they refunded me on 9 of April. Today is 14 of May and the refund still hadn`t proceeded yet. Try to avoid this store if you wouldn`t want any headache
O/N 12022 Wolseley table lamp illustrated on website as white grey and gold marble, arrived white & grey no gold & has bent lamp holder. Sent email request for replacement, no answer, rang was told it would be followed up. 10 days later no response rang again both times speaking to a female then some guy gets on the phone & says he’s spoken to me about this & sent an email. Explaining I had never spoken to a male nor had an email he later found the email in his outbox unsent! Apology, your dreaming! The explanation of natural stone is a myth, the stone I received has not a hint of gold in it.
Run & run fast these people have absolutely no idea what or who they are talking to.
