I’ve searched the literature and the net, no luck. Just want to know how this unit deals with multi-zones and how are they controlled?
You can control which rooms are open to the air-conditioning/heating. Simple on or off function via a touch-pad (advantage air). I would not recommend this product however since we have had to replace the complete unit (first fan (industrial size for large house) and then system itself) within 10 years. We now have a Daikin. Hopefully that will last a bit longer.
The unit is already installed in a house that I’ve bought. Will all the infrastructure already be in place to allow multi-zone? On the site it appears that the indoor unit has four ports? Do they open and close allowing 4 zones? Sorry I’m not that up on the technology :-(
I would like to use a HomeKit enabled smart controller (such as an Ecobee or Sensibo) - does the Mitsubishi PEA-RP170 need any add on items to support this?
At this point of time, the PEA-RP170 has an optional Wi-Fi Control Adaptor available:
This allows connection with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant:

Do you have some staff install this machine? How much it will cost for 4 zones, individual temperature controllers for 3 bedrooms, WiFi remote control?

What is the difference between models pea-rp250wha/phuz-rp250yka and pea-m140gaa/puz-m140yka. I'm looking at installing into a 5 bedroom 2 storey home and have been quote by two difference installers each quoting on one of the above models. I'm confused as to which one would be best for my home.
The main difference between the to models is the capacity.
PEA-RP250WHA/PUHZ-RP250YKM is a 22 kW cooling / 25 kW heating system
PEA-M140GAA is a 14 kW cooling / 16 kW heating system
Did your quote include a heating load? This is a measurement in kW that will allow a system to be matched to your requirements. Factors such as insulation (or lack of), aspect, location etc will affect the heat load.
Our Dealers should be able to give you a heat load calculation. Did your quote come from one of our Dealers?
