Movers good, scheduling awful!
I had arranged to have some furniture moved from Melbourne to Sydney, about 12 cubic metres. I spent the entire day waiting for them to arrive, continually having to check myself on the ETA as there was no communication from either the office or the movers. The time was put later and later every time I rang, and I ended up having to cancel my evening engagement as they didn’t arrive until 7:15pm. The friend at the other end had a similar experience, had to take a day off work and the delivery didn’t arrive until after 10pm. No fault of the guys...doing the moving, they were obviously totally overworked. Whoever is scheduling the pickups and deliveries obviously has no idea what is possible to do in one day, and customer communication was non-existent.
