Beware Of Monsoon Tapware
Purchased 2 x complete bathrooms full of Monsoon Tapware, shower heads, towel rails etc online from Ozsale & Grays Auctions Online. The original RRP touted by both sellers was outrageously expensive, and even with deep discounts on both of those sites, it was still what I considered a very healthy price for what I imagined would be a quality, smart modern product.
Alas, I was grossly mistaken. Fast-forward 2.5 years or so of use, & I had to replace it all because all the chrome had bubbled and corroded to a point it was beyond unsightly. I...Read more
contacted the Distributor/Agent merely as a courtesy to advise the situation & how deeply disappointed I was with my purchases. I was not making a warranty claim, nor seeking any form of compensation whatsoever from them, I just couldn't bear the thought of young renovators spending many $100's, only to experience the same issue. They were instantly on the defensive, so as a further courtesy to them and to validate what I was saying, I took the time to dig the items out of the rubbish bin to take photos. Well, I was gobsmacked by their rude responses to say the very least, especially considering I had already explained I wasn't seeking anything from them. They were demanding more photos, wanting to waste even more of my time, and basically implied I was lying via email, claiming it likely wasn't their product at all - how dare they? Perhaps they should have a chat with Ozsale & Grays who both sell the AUTHENTIC "Monsoon" brand I purchased, and call them liars. Neither Ozsale nor Grays sell "fake" branded products, they get them direct from manufacturers or distributors. I've had the most expensive & salubrious brand taps, and the cheapest brands in my lifetime in quite a few homes I've renovated, but I've never had anything that comes even remotely close to this terrible product range.Similar opinion?
