Not a good…
I needed help moving my three bedroom unit into a storage unit 15 mins away. I had heard wonderful things about Mooval. Their quote was reasonable. I had arranged them to pack my things also. I was a bit worried when the guys turned up and said they hadn’t packed before. However the packing went well. I was however invoiced for packing equipment that I did not receive. Read moreoken wine bottles, broken lamps and scratches on my freshly painted walls and doors. It took 6 hours for 2 men to move which I thought was a bit steep! I was invoiced for longer than the men worked for and an hour travel time which I was told was standard even though the movers live 5 minutes away.- Rates and Fees

No care or responsibility!
I have used Mooval previously with no issue and was happy to recommend to others and use again for my recent move. This one was bordering on disaster! Scratches and marks on walls, couch slightly ripped and fridge has damage all over the front. With boxes conveniently put in front of fridge, I signed off the paperwork then noticed the damage to all furniture later that day. I called the Sales Rep who gave me an email address to send my report to. I took pictures showing damage on fridge and had to continually follow up to get any response. And ...
Read morewhen i did get a response, all i received was "Read our T and C" which stipulates once they leave, thats bad luck! Thats it! No other response or empathy at all. Now i wouldnt recommend Mooval at all and see them as just another poor removalist with no care, responsibility or ethics!- Rates and Fees

Not the best
I moved a 2 bedroom apartment. After a quote of 1.5 hour it took 3 hours to get the job done. So I paid 3 times the price . Also they don’t know how to remove TVs off the wall so beware!

Overall poor experience
We can’t pinpoint a positive from using Mooval; we were under quoted (the final amount came in at $400 over their estimated maximum), the customer service was smarmy and one of the two guys who did the move was lazy - we ended up being passed boxes to unload by one of the guys, while the other folded blankets. The end location was a storage unit and as they unpacked the truck, they took one trolley at a time to put in the storage unit, rather than packing the hoist with everything and doing one load. They were late to arrive (traffic excuse) and had no sense of urgency. We wish we went with another company.

Read more The guys did arrive 15mins late and notified your partner well before their arrival. We provided you with an estimated time of 4-6hrs 'working time', the job ended up going for 7hrs 'working time' which was slightly over the estimated time. The standard price guide that we supply on the email was not adjusted to reflect that your job was 2hrs away which is why it ended up costing more. The move consultant verbally mentioned it on the phone and applied it on the quote however the price guide was not updated, an admin error on his part. Overall, the job did not go as smooth as we had hoped and we understand your frustrations. We will use this negative feedback to better educate our staff and strive to do better. Thank you. First time and definitely the last
Took very long time, not sure if that was done intentionally or because they were beginners.
They didn't have a power drill, I had to ask one of my friends to come and get me one to get the job done. I am not against beginners, but when the job is done on hourly rate that has to be considered.

Read more The crew should have had a drill with them so to hear that they did not is a bit dissapointing. Your job was completed on the 29/12, a time when most moving companies and businesses are shut for the holidays. We still operated but at limited capacity so that we could cater for the few bookings we did have. Aman one of the gentleman on the job has been a removalist for 7 years and one of our best, and Joseph his offsider has been doing it for 2 years. Industry standard is normally 1-2 years so based on that a very experienced team was in fact sent. These boys took time out of their holidays to accomodate your job and completed it in a reasonable amount of time with no damages. Most people would generally be appreciative of that. Read more We completed your job on Wednesday 10/3, literally 2 days ago. You made a number of claims including falsely accusing our team of stealing your plastic tubs which you eventually found. I did tell you to give it some time and check the house thoroughly. To your credit you did apologise to us. Some basic maths, 3hrs is not 3 times 1.5. You were initially given an estimated time of 1.5-2.5hrs which was then revised to 1.5hrs after the photos you sent. On the day of the move there were a few extra fragile items and the guys did have some issues with taking the TV off the wall. It doesn't help when the person is constantly in their ear berating them. The final load time was 2.5hrs, and the total job time was 7hrs (we estimated 6) just 1 extra hour on top of the estimated time. When you emailed 1 day ago to voice your concerns. I empathised with you and I told you that we would need to speak to the crew, investigate and then get back to you. We complete 200 jobs a week, even at a 99% success rate, naturally some small issues arise. Most reasonable people allow the business the courtesy of trying to do their jobs and to investigate. You literally went online the following day and left your feedback, which you are perfectly entitled to. Given that you are happy to treat us with such contempt, I can do nothing more than to wish you all the best and good luck with everything. We will take many lessons from this ordeal. Thank you. Tim
