This bassinet looks beautiful and is pretty cheap compared to some of the other modern looking bassinets on the market. The construction was a little flimsy and the board underneath the matress will need to be replaced for our next baby. It couldn't be folded up without the removal of the mosquito netting support which meant I couldn't move it around the house on a daily basis as I had planned. Given that you only use a bassinet for a few months and this one wasn't expensive I don't consider it a bad purchase, although next time I'd probably fo...rsake aethetics for something smaller, sturdier and with wheels. I purchased this bassinet because it had a much more modern look than a lot of the other bassinets on the market (ie. not so frilly), because it would fold up for easy storage in between babies and because I wanted to be able to move it around the house easily. It was also more affordable than the Cariboo Gentle motions. It definitely looked great and my daughter slept in it until she was 3 months old. It folds up very nicely for storage. Not very easy to fold up - You can't fold it up when you have the post attached which the fabric draping hangs from. You actually have to use an allen key to remove the wooden post so that you can fold the bassinet up. This meant that it was difficult to move around the house as I had planned (I ended up borrowing a second bassinet for downstairs as it was too hard to move every day and found this one, a Love n'Care, easier to rock, sturdier and much easier to move around as it had wheels). Felt a little flimsy. After jiggling / rocking the bassinet to settle baby the screws would get a little loose and need to be tightened periodically. The wooden base underneath the matress warped. My baby was a small to average sized baby so we were surprised that the wood warped. It is very thin, so for the next baby we will purchase a thicker piece of wood to sit underneath the matress to provide better support. It is a very deep bassinet and the canvas sides are quite thick, so I was a little concerned about airflow, particularly as my baby got bigger and started moving around the bassinet a bit.
Overall this was one of the better purchases I've made.
Its not massive.. so I keep it next to my bed during the night... and during the day I fold it and carry it downstairs and let the baby sleep there while Im doing the housework etc!!!
If your thinking about buying a bassinet... this should be the one!
Excellent size bassinet that's extemely practical to use. Really inexpensive in comparison to the other cradles on the market and the matress come include.
It folds away making it easy to put away and move around.
It's also great for rocking the baby ... and when it gets dirty, you can through everying in the wash!
AN excellent choice for those first weeks. After looking through loads of bassinets and reviews I decided on this one knowing my baby would grow out of it quickly. He found it comfortable and it is easy to move around and even folds up for easy storage. We didn't like the thing at the top but it was easy not to assemble that part. We put the bassinet next to the bed for the first two months and it was easy to rock it if the baby stirred. This is a good cheap choice for parents who have a cot but want something smaller for the first few weeks.
Easy to assemble
Folds away for easy storage and is v light.
A little deep for my bad back when it came to lifting.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product. So pleased I bought a bassinet when many told me it wasn't necessary. It is almost perfect really, but perhaps the Mimmi model is even more perfect (bearing in mind I haven't used it, just seen it).
Love it! Inexpensive - we paid approx $120. Looks good & modern. Puts together easily. Easy to rock baby in. Compact enough to take on holidays while baby is still young - just loosen the top arm with an allen key so it folds down to fit flat in the boot. Also easy to move around house without any disma...
This is a Great Bassinet!
Easy to assemble. Looks great! Bubs very comfy in it. Able to rock it with one hand while still lying in bed (Which has been a life saver at 3am!) Its a big bassinet so bubs still fits at 5 months and he's not a small baby. Will be sad to move him out of it.
inexpensive, looks great (no frills!), easy to assemble and able to fold up for storage
need to tighten to screws every now and then. Mattress could be a big thicker and sturdier
It is okay but I sent mine back and don't plan to get another one. It reminded me of a laundry basket in a way but can understand the style is attractive, at least on pictures. I say go the pretty frilly ones if you want to know what you are really getting.
Earthy look and natural fabrics.
More of the company's fault due to delivery/handling at the online store but scratches and stains on canvas.
Picture makes it look like it has darker wooden legs.
Bit flimsy for bub.

Questions & Answers
A family member is giving me her bassinet, which is this one and after reading the reviews I just wanted to know would a bassinet mattress from bigw fit it?
Sorry, just remembered; this bassinet is not designed to have a mattress added to these at all for safety reasons. With the thickness of a mattress and the design of this is just not safe. My baby was rolling to one side in this so I'm glad I didn't buy the mattress in the end.
Agree with shon, we tried to buy a mattress but none fit and yes my son was rolling around at 2 months. I would stay away and purchase something safe. As I heard that this bassinet coco had been recalled due to babies rolling. It’s not worth buying a new mattress for the sake of your babies life.
Hi I have the original Mothers Choice Bassinet but have lost the cradle part in one of our shifts I have the frame but nothing else would like to know if I can get the cradle part?
