Disgusting customer service
When sold the protektiv pack we were told it would cover interior from sun damage and exterior from chips and rust.
We bought our car brand new and within the next couple of months we had chips on the car after a year rust was now present and the seat started peaking from sun damage.
When we tried to have this issue sorted [Name Removed] the highest person you can speak to told me we weren’t covered and was told to check the fine print and was called a “Lair”.
There is extremely poor customer service in this company and strongly recommended no one purchase this product unless you want to pay for something that does nothing.
Went all out to solve a problem for me.
I recently had an issue with a paint coating product. Martin Ball the claims and product manager was very attentive to my issue. He went above and beyond and was very proactive to correct the problem. Very refreshing to be listened too and taken care of so quickly.

I had window tinting done through MotorOne when I purchased a new vehicle 6 years ago. The paperwork said lifetime guarantee so when I noticed that the rear windscreen had become horribly bubbled I contacted them. First they were difficult to contact, not responding to phone messages, and slow to respond to emails, then they insisted on my supplying the purchase receipt for the car that showed their product (which was listed as 6 Star Window Tinting and didn't mention MotorOne) even though I had all the relevant warranty paperwork which stated ...that they kept records and did not say I would have to produce the receipt. When I eventually obtained a copy of the receipt from the dealer they went ahead and honoured the warranty and replaced the tinting, but a week later a large bubble has formed and I can't spend another day off work getting it redone. There's no way I'd every deal with these people again. Poor product and poor service. Edit: Head office contacted me regarding my original review, and were very helpful. If I was keeping the car I'm sure I'd have the work redone properly. The product I purchased from Motorone is no longer used or supported by this company. Also, it was the Motorone repairer in Mansfield that I'm not impressed with rather than Motorone itself, so I've changed my review of this company from 1 star (the repairer in Mansfield) to 5 stars (Maureen from head office) and averaged it at 3 stars.

Excellent after sales service
I was sold the product by the dealer to “ protect my investment “ but was never entirely satisfied as the car seemed to still get dirty . I called Motorone and Martin came around within a few days and checked the product had been applied properly , which it had. He was very knowledgeable and gave me a few tips on how to wash and polish the car to bring out the best in it . As he explained , the ceramic coating does protect your paint from damage caused by contaminants in the atmosphere and makes it easy to wash and polish.........but you still need to wash them off . After a few minutes demo from Martin it looked better than new .

A bought a new car from a dealer back in Jan 2021 and was encouraged to get the new ceramic coating from MotorOne - Hydrogel. At first I wasn't 100% convinced of the finishing but thought maybe when I wash it the white residue will go away... it didn't. Then a bird did a massive poo on my bonnet and because Hydrogel claims that it can withstand bat poo then I thought it will be fine to wash my car after three days of bird pooing... it didn't. There was a terrible stain on my bonnet. So I booked it in with Lukasz from MotorOne in Newington NSW a...nd he was amazing... he absolutely made the car look like new again and there was no sign of the stain at all. He even went around and reapplied the Hydrogel again all over the car. He took the time to explain everything to me and was extremely polite... and he also gifted me with some washing items. Hydrogel has a lifetime warranty on it so I didn't pay a cent! Just smiles all round. Thank you Lukasz and MotorOne team.

Buyer Beware!!! Poor Experience when trying to claim
Paid almost $2k to have the X-Pack Paint Protection with a life-time warranty applied in 2012 to my brand new Subaru XV, only requiring reapplication when a panel is resprayed, which I had reapplied to the roof when it was respray in 2015 with no issues. I've recently been made aware my car paint is fading at different rates between the roof and the rest of the car (doors, boot etc) by a local car dealership. This colour difference required experts to see and was confirmed by MotorOne's local reps. I raised this immediately with the MotorOne Gr...oup and was rudely told over the phone and via email (quote, "I have told you 4 times already" during a phone call) they have denied my claim using excuses such as it has it’s “de-lamination” (clear coat peeling which is on the mirrors that I am not claiming for), or that the product has not failed if it is not present on the panels, which implies it was never applied to my car, I didn't raise the claim within 30 days, I raised it the day the car dealership told me there was something wrong, to the last excuse being it is the Subaru factories fault for they didn't use as good a paint as the company who resprayed the roof..... Not sure what to say from here, I was guaranteed the whole purpose of this product is to protect the factory paint from fading and had a life-time warranty.

Do not buy this product!!!! If I could give a zero I would. They are happy to take your money but reluctant to help when needed. Firstly the way their customer care “or lack of “centre spoke to me was beyond appalling. It seemed like everything was to much trouble for her to do and it was up to me find the right people to contact. After several attempts and a couple of months later I got a call back from a manager and was told I should have read the fine print. Car was re sprayed 3years ago through motor one’s authorised repairer. They never told me that it had to be coated again. One would think it would be done at the time of being fixed. Now the paint is fading and they have wiped their hands of the problem.
I will never buy their products again. After paying nearly $2,000 for paint protection on a brand new car the paint has gone beyond fading to where there is no paint at all. My contract says lifetime warranty, however they have denied my claim saying it’s “de-lamination” (clear coat peeling). There is no clear coat peeling because the paint has basically oxidised into nothing. The person I spoke with was so rude and dismissive to me on the phone. I have taken it to 3 independent repair places who have all said there is no de-lamination. One rep...air place even wished me luck in getting anywhere with my claim as they have had past dealings with them. I have been I contact with consumer affairs after getting no where and have been strongly urged to take it to VCAT. This is my next move. Like another review they also did not return my calls or emails for a long time. They have not even physically inspected the car. My Mazda dealership no longer deals with MotorOne which has made things hard. They got one star because I couldn’t given the minus.
After 2 years, it is not looking good. Not value for money. Single urban driver, no off roads.
I called and left a message for motorone to call me back. No one bothers. it's about a claim. paid heaps of money to get paint protection and it is not value for money.

yes andrew, motorone will definitely provide backup to your satisfaction. support is the cornerstone of their busness. i have three prestige vehicles each with the special coating, the difference and longevity can be enjoyed by the enthusiast. frankt
How do I remove this useless product from the paint of my car? When it was sold to me I was told it would make the paint "hard as a rock". I've had the car 2 months and it already has a scratch. I have read the fine print and all it does is protect the paint against bat poo (as long as you wash it immediately, which I would do anyway). I feel entirely ripped off. To make matters worse, you can only wash using the expensive product that must be brought at the dealer! Can't go to a car wash! I want the "paint protection" gone so I can just wash it normally.
With today's new cars, the exterior can be made up of various surfaces beyond just paint such as black highlights made from plastic that can easily pick up marks. When I buy a new car, will purchasing the ceramic protection be applied to all surfaces?
I want full protection if i purchase.
Hello and thanks for reaching out to us regarding protection for your new vehicle. The HYDRO ceramic coating is applied to all exterior surfaces (excluding glass). This includes plastic bumpers, exterior mirrors and trims. Provided that these areas are painted they are covered under the HYDRO Limited Lifetime Warranty.
