Appalling negligence and lack of response
On packing the furniture and boxes into the truck, they overloaded a valuable Australian wood sideboard with heavy boxes without telling us they were doing so, and the table collapsed from the excessive weight applied to the table.
On arrival, they left only 3 out of the four legs from the table.
They have not offered compensation, nor have they responded about the missing leg after a considerable period.

Awful job
I had a terrible experience using this removalist company in April. I had used them twice in the past and never had any issues, however on this occasion it was a shocking service. They scratched and damaged my teak sideboard in two places with wood peeling off it, left dent marks down my hallway, left black grease marks on my couch and bed. They also took way longer than the man estimated on the phone. It was meant to be 3 hours and I understand it was tricky during COVID without me being able to help but it took 6 hours and a $700 charge that ...
Read morewe had not budgeted for. Sometimes a trip back to their truck would take 30 minutes. Once I went out to check what they were doing and one of the men had his leg up on the back of the truck just chatting and resting, letting the clock/hourly charge tick by. I tried contacting customer service to which they sent a simplistic reply saying they would investigate but they never got back to me. I will never be using them or recommending them again.Other Furniture Removalists

Terrible service.
Had my new Plush sofa delivered by two men from this company. These men had no organisation skills, treated furniture without care and my home like a tip.
Part of the Plush delivery service accepted by this company is assembling and care of the furniture and these guys didn’t even understand how to clip on attachments nor understand that you don’t slide around wooden legs on solid floors as they’ll scratch the floors!
Their limited English made it almost impossible to explain that the packaging rubbish isn’t to be thrown around the house, to ...

If the prospect of getting a job cancelled a day before your move, wasting hours on administration and communications plus not getting your money back until past 6 weeks, then Move My Stuff is your removalist of choice!

Avoid this company
Terrible experience. They aren’t a professional company and are not a member of AFRA at time of writing. Goods were damaged in the move and Move My Stuff won’t accept any responsibility. They appear to sub-contract out again and try to pass blame going around in circles. There’s no dispute resolution and have needed to claim through the bank and Consumer Affairs. We went with them as they had positive reviews, but we got two guys with a rental truck one of whom was his first day. Good damaged and were left behind and had to get someone else to...
Read more move it. They were cheap, but you’ll get much cheaper on Gumtree and likely better service. Check out their Term and Conditions carefully (a snapshot is attached). It is truly a scary business. And as they say, you order them at your own risk.AnnieGreater Melbourne (Inner), VIC

Terrible - Do NOT use this company for Removals!
Words cannot express my utter disappointment after I used this company to move recently.
The two guys that turned up were extremely inefficient, they spent unnecessary time glad wrapping each item of furniture, as their truck was unsuitable and they didn’t want to damage any furniture, it wasn’t even a proper removal truck, it had soft sides and a cage like system within and was covered in graffiti, very unprofessional like the two men who were doing the job. My fridge was dented in the process and a table has gone missing.
When I lodged a co...

If that is the case, then why is it that I have moved 9 times and never, ever has this been done before?
I’ve also never, ever arranged a removalist and had it take almost an hour before a single pie...

Disheartening Experience
Exceptional service
The team was great, came on time & were extremely helpful. They worked quickly & efficiently. I was very happy with the service.
August 7th 2019 Update: Disheartening Experience
I was moving into my new home, I had used their services 1 year ago so I didn't even think twice called Move My Stuff & booked my move requested for the same people however I was informed they had changed employers. I insisted to get equally experienced removalists I was assured I would. I replicated my booking as my furniture was still the same & ...
Read moregot ready for the move. I booked a 4T truck same as before. I was moving from a townhouse - 2bdrm to a Single storey. Having moved before, I had everything ready to ensure we made quick work of it. Only the beds needed to be dismantled & assembled on arrival. On the day, the 2 movers were very slow. They spoke in their native language most of the time which I found to be very unprofessional. Dismantled furniture they didn't need to wasting more time. I got so frustrated called the office twice, they asked me to be patient they will talk to the movers. Big mistake. If you are not happy cancel the job ASAP it will only get worse.1 comment

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!! Stay away
NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!! Be careful. I used this company this week. They not only did NOT move my things carefully but also keep 2 items. When i reached the team they sent me an email saying practically they dont care about my missing items. Wont use this company! They are the worse. Diana's removals or CBD movers are great compare to this.

Hi Viv, thank you for writing to us again.
As per our email discussion, you made no mention on the lack of care moving your contents but accused our removalists of "stealing" two items. ...

What a truly terrible experience.
Recent move from a 3 bedroom house into storage and then out of storage into a new home. I consider that I am a veteran, having moved home about 20 times in the last 30 years. By far, this was my worst experience. Boxes marked “fragile” were crushed. Table surfaces scored for failure to use blankets. I am still missing a tv cabinet. The worst part is trying to raise concerns with them. Stonewalled with responses like “not liable for damage in transit” and “You accepted the terms.” The company even claimed I did not raise any concerns on the day...
Read more of the move, despite a phone call and email to them on the day of the move. A week to receive a response to the effect of “not our problem”. Very poor. I can not recommend this company. I am prevented from giving zero stars for this review.Find out how Move My Stuff compares to other Furniture Removalists

Will rip you off and leave your stuff behind
Had a move from a customer to my office and it was the most DODGY experience I've had. Do not trust them with your goods.
Drivers left an item behind, it was clearly labelled and had the address of the destination on it. They claimed they weren't told to take it but it was LABELLED to the destination and sitting under other items going to that destination.
Seriously, if you decide to use them they need an itemised list of every item because labels don't count to them.
When i asked the driver what the process was for the left item he said he...

Terrible communication and no flat rate quote
At first I was very pleased with the service in relationship to booking and how quickly they could pick-up my stuff. However, the day of service was so full of miscommunication and misjudgments that it bordered on a comedy routine. When I called the office to find out where my stuff was (I left work early for new “early” time), only for customer service to tell me that yes, there were a lot of miscommunications but nothing more and she wasn’t sure where my stuff was. My stuff arrived past the original scheduled time and they charged me for sitting in traffic, so something to consider when booking- it is not a flat rate. The cost ended up being more than the goods I bought!

Terrible customer service
Not only did they damage my stuff right in front of me, turn up 1.5hrs late they can’t even send me a refund which I’m still waiting on 1 month later. I would go with someone else to be honest, just poor customer service all around.

Very short of the mark
My move took place a little under a year ago and with the chaos of moving in to a brand new home however it wasn't until they sent me a recent email asking if I would like to re-use their service that it jogged my memory that I hadn't left a review.
On the day of the move I was greeted by a truck that was covered from top to bottom in graffiti and not a single company logo apart from a generic Removalist sign. Not a very good first impression and certainly a very different representation of Move my Stuff.com.au truck that I saw on the road. ...
Read more I greeted the driver and introduced myself, he did not tell his name until I asked for it ([name removed]). I would later find out that [name removed] owned the truck and he subcontracts to Move my Stuff. We then proceeded to walk through my property and I briefed him on the items that needed to be collected. He made note of the items and it was at this time that his colleague walked in to the room. He made no acknowledgment of myself as the client and when I extended my hand to shake hands and introduce myself he basically grunted back (for the purpose of this complaint I will refer to him as “Not-[name removed]” as he did not tell me his name). Not the greatest experience so far but I thought to myself that it’s a Monday and they probably not thrilled about an early start but that as long as these guys do a good job what does it matter. Before they got started [name removed] asked if I could move my vehicle as they would not be able to access the side door to the truck. I then moved my vehicle to the front to the public car park bays of our unit complex. The guys then began to prepare the truck, open doors and position the ramp to the back of the truck and commenced loading the truck. As someone who has used several professional removalists before for both personal and commercial moves I would like to think I have a fairly good understanding of what an acceptable pace and work ethic of carrying out these works should be, especially when the client is being charged an hourly rate to carry out the works. Unfortunately the two removalists I had been appointed fell very short of the mark. It got to the point that I got so tired of watching them drag their feet that I filled up my own car with stuff intended for the truck. Between trips back and forth from my vehicle I would stick my head in to have a look in the truck and I would see Not-[name removed] literally leaning against the trolley and watching his colleague wrap blankets around some glass shelving cabinets instead of bring out more boxes or other small items. I also observed Not-[name removed] going about making several trips to and from the truck with only one non-bulk item in hand such as a toddler’s scooter which all seemed like tactics to delay the job further. With my car now full of the smaller items for transport I then asked if I could help to which I started bringing out items at a pace which I feel conveyed the message that they were underperforming as shortly after they began pushing the pace. At this stage I was in the backyard going through some stuff in the shed and as I walked towards the front of the property Not-[name removed] was whistling and playing with the neighbours dog. I collected my neighbour’s dog and secured it in my neighbour’s yard so as not to further distract Not-[name removed] from the task at hand. Not-[name removed] was also observed spitting several times within our front lawn which I am sure you will agree, can be done discreetly and not within the client’s property boundary.SandieMelbourne

Broke our furniture and stole from us
We used move my stuff for a short distance move 2 weeks ago. When the truck turned up it clearly wasn't going to be big enough for our stuff, despite clearly going through our furniture with the company. We even had 2 fridges and a bed that we didn't need to move and we still needed 3 trips.
We had a side board that was moved and permanently broken after unloading it at the new address. The removalists claimed that they informed us that it was fragile, however they never informed us of this. The company said that as it was broken in transit a...

Removalists LIED about breaking furniture
The movers from Move My Stuff showed up on time and generally, the move went well and on time.
However, they broke an item of outdoor furniture then proceeded to lie about it when I contacted the company to advise them of this. I was clear that I wasn't looking for financial compensation, rather an acknowledgment from them that it occurred. Instead they've offered me 15% off my next move, which is hilarious considering I would never consider using them again.
So I guess if your move goes smoothly, they're good - however, if your belongings are damaged by the movers there is little to no recourse, as of course the removalists will lie so that they don't have to pay out any insurance.

Why you should reconsider using this company
I used 'move my stuff' to move from a small 2br house. I told the person booking the job how much stuff I had and they arranged what they said was the appropriate truck. I was reassured after saying I had been let down by movers before that I would have no trouble. Wrong. On the day the boys doing the job turned up on time and were friendly and efficient. However said the truck would be too small. It was. They arranged for another, ostensibly at a discount. The result was a much longer, more stressful move at almost double cost. They didn't have or even know of a portarobe and quite a bit had to be left behind. Thankfully the buyers weren't moving straight in. I certainly won't use them again.

Damaged furniture. Disappointing!
We were incredibly disappointed with our experience with Move My Stuff. The movers we had didn't pack the truck very well so we had to do 2 trips. My partner used to be a removalist himself & in the end was directing them how to pack things & how to load things onto the trolley. We had important things we'd put in the driveway that HAD to go in the truck & they just left some of it behind (inlcuding 2 heaters which i thought had gone on the truck but hadn't & as a result got left in the rain & are now rubbish) Worst of all however they damaged...
Read more a number of pieces of our furniture! 2 sets of drawers & the tv cabinet have chunks of wood that have come out of them. 2 more cupboards have dings in them & our couch now makes creaking noises everytime someone leans back in it. We will absolutely never use this company again & i will be telling as many people as i know to also stay away.Andyheathmont

Move my stuff moved my money! They cost me three times the price I expected. Even when they said how big a truck and how long, the cost blew out. They dented and broke items and when I said something, they said I had to tell them same day. Fine if they warned you and they didn't finish at 11 pm or after you left. They take cash but the emailed receipt never arrived. They round up the price and say it is a tip. I'm so sad every time I see my dented fridge. Things were left everywhere even when i said where to put things. I should have watched ...
Read morethem but trying to save so carted things myself. They even ate my dinner! And they got lost and I had to argue not to pay for that time. I'm extremely disappointed and much poorer. Be warned. costly and damage.2 comments

There are many incorrect statements in your reply, which after you threatened me, I pointed out. The main one is that you recommended the size of truck, time it would take and when to begin. You were wrong. Not me.

As revealed in our email correspondence, it is our duty of care and standard procedure to shrink wrap your furniture to protect them. ...
Read more The truck assigned did have a curtain railings on each side which is absolutely fine to use and does not affect the safeguard of your contents in transit.
