Awesome! – First time I've cooked it - no problems. I used the tips and heated a cup of water for 1 minute first. My microwave is only 1000w so it took 2 1/2 minutes for the bag to fully expand. It came out perfectly. Great flavour, not too salty and nice and crunchy. It'll be a great back up when I cook roast pork as there is never enough crackling to go around. Show details

Soo good – This is so good. Only needed to put in my microwave for just over 1 minute. Take out as soon as the bag stops expanding and viola! Delicious warm crackling! Was still cracking while it was in the bowl ! nice big pieces too. Was a bit sceptical at first and especially after reading some of the reviews that said they almost Burne down the… Read more

Want to burn your house down! – Want to burn your house down! Well then, just buy 'Mr. Hamfreys Microwave Pork Crackle' ! I bought this product about a couple of years ago and had NO problem with it. WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO THIS PRODUCT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put in microwave for the recommended time, but before this time was uo I smelt this odd toxic burning chemical type… Read more

small coming from the direction of my microwave. Quickly opened up and snuffed the fire out. First it caught fire in the microwave after 50 seconds on the recommended heat. How can they sell this faulty product legally??? And, it is substantially a way lower grade product to what they used to sell around couple of years ago. About 3 pieces the size of a 50 cent piece, the other stuff is very small, some with hairs on, pig skin droppings swept up off floor, leftover tiny bits! I do not recommend buying this low grade product anymore, 1st, if you don't want to burn down your house, and 2nd, if you don't want to poison your body with tiny toxic tasting pig skin bits! Half the bag are very hard and do not crackle by the way, I forgot to mention that earlier!

DO NOT BUY THIS – What a glorious dissapointment. Follow the instructions on the packet if you want to set your kitchen on fire. Microwaving this fowel blasphemy has desecrated my microwave beyond purification. The resulting umbra of rancid haze wofted throug my household and has yet to dissipate.

Best Pork Crackle – I absolutely love pork crackle and this is the best ever. It's so fresh and easy to make. Unfortunately I live in aged care so my husband needs to cook this for me Show details

Used to be better – Recently I have noticed that about 1/4 of the packet doesn't pop when previously almost all if not all would always pop. It appears there has been some sort of change to the production and now the quality has come down Show details

Much better than I expected – I wasn’t sure what to expect. I shook the bag 6 times and put the microwave for 90 seconds and took it out with 10 seconds to spare. Once the crackly popping sounds stopped I took it from the bag and I couldn’t believe how good they were. Admittedly you have to share the packet or they would be way too salty, so the serving size is great. Show details

Better Than Expected – I was interested I trying this microwavable crackle as I love pork crackling. I shook the bag but instead of “shaking” I made sure the product inside the bag was evenly distributed flat, popped it in the microwave for 1:30 and spent the last 30 secs trying to hear the crackle. It came out nice and fresh! I was amazed at how fresh the crackle tasted! I was really surprised! Show details

Waste of time and money! – Product was disappointing! So much time and effort wasted for such little gain. The bag almost caught on fire after 1 minute! Then to cook the remaining hard dry bits took another 3 minutes after opening the bag and microwaving constantly as per instructions..After 6 minutes a strong ammonia smell was coming out of the bag and into your mouth when you ate the pork crackle. Definitely disappointed with the product and the price!  Show details

Hot pork crackle at home and better than I thought! – I bought this a while ago and stayed in my pantry until I cleaned it up. For this product, follow the instruction is very important. I followed exactly as the packet says and gave it a very good shake (more than 5-6 times as recommended). My microwave is 1000W so I started off with 1 minute and 30sec intervals afterwards. After first 2 minutes, I… Read more

opened the bag and it was still a bit chewy, so I rolled the bag closed and microwave for another 30 seconds and it came out perfect. It's better if you keep watching the microwave though! It was nice, crunchy and warm, but a little bit salty to my liking. I am sure this will taste better if I have a beer in hand.

Please be careful! – Bag was placed in a clean microwave for one minute before my partner and I smelt burning. It was removed only to find the top corner of the bag on fire. Have contacted Woolworths where it was purchased to voice our concern for product safety.  Show details

I can’t believe it’s microwave pork crackle! – Cook for about 1 minute 40 seconds, keep your eye on it. It doesn’t make pop sounds like popcorn and it states this on the packet. As soon as the bag expands it’s done. Tastes great , just like puffy pork crackle. 2 servings a pack, 90 calories per serve , no sugar, no carbs, a tasty less calorific snack instead of packet chips. I will definitely buy again. Show details

Perfect substitute for popcorn – I tried these for the first time today. Put them in the micro for 1min. They came out so much better than expected. I could have put them in a little longer. The pack says 1 to 2 mins. I'd guess 1min 30s is perfect, I only had a few small pieces not 'pop'. Really tasty too. I'm going to be buying a stack more! Show details

Burning skins – I excitedly removed the outer plastic wrapping from my microwave pork crackle shook the bag as per instructions popped it in the microwave And set it to 2 minutes and hit start. Instructions said to put it in for 1-2 minutes it got to 1.5 minutes being a 1000w microwave I thought Id better pull it out. The bag wasnt fully inflated but there was… Read more

loud crackling and popping sounds which didnt seem right. So I took out the bag to find a burn mark at the bottom. I thought ok maybe theyre cooked and a bit burnt i opened the bag and the most toxic smelling fumes came bellowing out of the bag. I poured the crackle into a bowl and its completely inedible. It also appears some pieces still had hairs on them that were burnt. The piece stuck to the bag at the bottom causing the burn continued to smoke had to put some water on it to make sure it wasnt going to catch on fire. I tried one but too hard to bite and they stank. I do not recommend this product at all.
