Avoid online service like the plague
I was recommended MSY by a friend. Ordered a PC they've custom built and waited 3 days for confirmation of order; had to contact them in order to find out that my order did not go through even though the money was received. Was told by a robotic staff member to contact a specific email to get a refund. As it turns out, the refund was already being processed. Incompetence much? Avoid.

Amazing Service and Help
MSY helped me build a customised and gaming focused computer. Initially I had some difficulties with my order and the State Manager stepped in and not only fixed the issue but recommended improvements on my system, assisted with pricing and reviewed the service at the store! 10/10 in this day and age!!

Competitive pricing, products exactly as advertised.
Bought Samsung monitor online and worked good.
They have a wide variety of parts online and pricing is very good.
Also went to their shop in Geelong and customer service was excellent.
Prices are good. Service is awful. Personally I would avoid.
The site and the products are fine. But service times, reliability and resolutions are poor. Two weeks to fulfil a simple order and then when it arrived the build wasn't to specs. Many, many attempts to contact them about the issue resulted in zero response. I would avoid dealing with them at all cost.

Terrible customer service, they cancelled both my orders.
I made 2 seperate online orders on the same day. The first purchase was cancelled by MSY because there was no stock available despite the website showing there was. The second order was cancelled because all of the drones left in stock had faulty batteries. At least they refunded my full payment within a week of placing the order. Still very unhappy with this last experience despite several successful purchases “in store” previously.
One of their Birthday "Specials" yeah right!!!
While on their website i was drawn to the banner for a 14:00 - 16:00 Flash sale for one of their birthday sales $10 for ALCATROZ X-Craft (HP-5 PRO) i click add to cart when it did i saw that it was a total of $19. I started a chat with the online website based customer service while i was waiting 30 mins for a response they changed the price and didn't honour the advertised price. Unfortunately for them i screen shot the price before getting in touch with them.
Not happy with their lack of customer focus.
Cheap price.. Looooooong delivery
After shopping around online for a simple SSD hard drive I found MSY had one in stock for a good price and paid online. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry to receive it. They state 1-3 days to dispatch so after 5 days with no shipment confirmation when I called and eventually got through to someone who was couldn't do any more than say "I'll send the warehouse a message". Fully two and a half weeks later the unit finally arrived. I hope it works as reading the reviews on this site I don't like my chances if it doesn't. Around the same time my wife...ordered a pair of $40 shoes from the US and they arrived in 2 days, and a $25 bulky golf umbrella ordered from an obscure city in China arrived in 5 days - including the weekend! But in Australia a $100 hard drive that weighs next to nothing takes 17 days to get across the country. Australian companies complain about competition from overseas but it seems they have a lot to learn about logistics or will face extinction.
Poor service, No delivery choices. Cheap Prices.
Overall, nothing great. The prices are good. Much better then most other online sites I have checked out. Although the range is heavily lacking. On PC Case Gear for example you find an extensive range of products, where as on MSY there is an empty feeling.
The website is laid out annoyingly, and doesn't seem to have been properly updated in about 6 years.
And to cover the main issues. There is a distinct lack of delivery options. Auspost standard is all you get. Not even an option for Express. PC Case Gear offers service between Star Trac...k, and Auspost. With two options for each. Umart offers two choices of the two. And while I can accept the 2-5 business day deliveries for Auspost I would much rather have the option to pay more for faster service. And as for the service. Like before: I have bough PC components from both PC Case Gear and Umart. And I will say this. MSY is rubbish, it takes 1-3 business days for them to process an order. 1-3! How can you justify it when the other two places have my orders Processed, shipped and delivered the very next day. Overall I would rate it very negatively. If it came down to parts that I didn't need urgently then it would be almost fine, there is still the issue of the time it takes to simply PROCESS the order, although if you are looking for better service and faster deliveries shop elsewhere.

Unacceptable dispatch/shipping times and service
When I placed my $4,600 order from their warehouse in my city I was never told how long it would take for it to arrive at my doorstep. After they gladly took my money they told me it would take 4-8 days to arrive in my receipt they sent to my email.
I was floored.
Since then I've been trying to contact them to allow me to pick up the order for their warehouse myself. I told them I wasn't looking to get a refund for the handling charge they placed or a discount on anything.

The two meanings of cheap.
The true meaning of cheap is a low price for a quality product or service. i.e. $250,000 Rolls Royce car for $20,000. Bad cheap is a patched up $500 wreck and spending $10,000 for a $2000 resale value.
As yet, I cannot fault the product, because I still have not received it.
But the use of Australia Post to make the delivery? What? Are you living in the dark ages? Two packages bought same day. One in Sydney - sent by Toll freight - travelled 1200Km arrived 2 days later. MSY sent the package by Australia Post - travelled 150Km - 6th day, S...MS delivery scheduled for tomorrow. Today second SMS, "Delivery unable to be made today, will attempt as soon as possible." I wish that people would stop using nasty delivery services for parts that are needed urgently. I don't have weeks to wait for deliveries because some people don't get it that using the dodgy delivery co., is making their problems, my problem.
They are really good with warranty.
Most the negatives seem to come from instore purchases, i have no experience with that, mine is online.
The warranty was simple, sent me a box a put it in the box and they sent me a new one straight away too.
I wanted a monitor with no backlight bleed and eventually got it. It's a $1000 monitor it should be perfect and they understood, it's not my fault or theirs it's the company who makes them. MSY are so big they have the power to simply send the items back without making you do all the work. It's like harvey normal, you get exchanges with ease as they know the customer is king.
If you're buying a monitor which has a high chance of a defect, e.g the 144hz 1440p IPS, then MSY is great :)
It's cheap - there are trade offs - but I was happy
I have never really seen lower prices for laptops anywhere. Lots of these reviews complain about customer service, but you really cannot expect 5 star service for a 2 star price.
I had to send back our laptop because it broke. The formal warranty had expired, but they offered to fix it under applied warranty.
It did take a little while (close to 3 weeks), I didn't get a response to my first email for a follow up and when I finally called them, I had to keep ringing to get someone to pick up. But they repaired my laptop and sent it back fr...ee of charge and I'm not complaining about that. I'd buy from them again because the prices are so attractive. I can put up with mediocre customer support for that. (And the people I dealt with were actually very helpful.)
Do not waste your time with MSY
OK this applies to the whole organisation.
Retail = I am spending the money - retailer provides customer service + appreciates my custom.
MSY = I am spending the money - retailer provides NO customer service + couldn't care less about my custom
You cant even ring a store directly & talk to the staff - what the hell is that !!
Don't waste your time unless you love being treated like a worthless piece of what dogs leave on pavements

MSY had an offer on Facebook for a monitor for $299, that was going on special at 1pm using a coupon code "MSYFTW"
Unfortunately it was more like coupon code MSYWTF! upon selecting said monitor and using coupon code i had seemed to have successfully did everything right.. this is 1:01pm mind you.. as i press checkout the store crashes once i finally regain connection.. the MSY online website decides to delete my order and than disconnects again by the time i get connection it is 1:08 and all units have apparently sold out.. what a joke!
I'll never send anyone to MSY or recommend there store or period stained online store again!

MSY set up a really good offer for a monitor with only one catch the website crashed as soon as i tried to check out with the monitor i had selected
then when i tried to do it again it was all over and the stock was gone, after all of the hype it was like 2 minutes after the start and they were all gone how come.

Lying about stock and pricing
Purchased a RX470 for $295 delivered. 4 days later and the order has not been processed. Payment was received instantly and item was in stock,yet no progress of order. Then mysteriously the day after I've made the order the product no longer shows on any of the MSY stores/online, it simply disappeared from existence. The 3rd day after i made the order the item Gigabyte RX470 G1 4gb is back on the website listed at $22 dollars more then what i payed. Something fishy is going on with MSY. Their practices need to be looked at again by ACCC. I cal...led to ask why has my order not been attended to? Why no progress? They say it's because it's busy period which i know is a lie. I wont be returning and i suggest you be weary when dealing with MSY in general. They are not trustworthy.

I ordered a hyperx fury rgb on Friday January the 3rd, 2020 and it said on the order that it will take 3-6 days. It is now Saturday the 11th of January and it has been 8 days since I ordered and I do not have a tracking number and the order status says paid. If I do not get a tracking number for my purchase then I want to refund and just buy it from a store
