Is it possible to get a sample pack to see if my baby will like this formula. I don't really want to purchase a whole tin and find that she doesn't really like it.

Hello
Looking to try grass fed formula as our 3 week old is having trouble with other formulas even lactose free.
Interested to know what is the grass fertilised with that cows are eating?
Just because it’s grass fed doesn’t mean it’s automatically healthy.
If it’s a conventional synthetic fertiliser program then I wouldn’t use it.
Healthy grass needs balanced nutrition to produce nutritious milk
Are herbicides/pesticides used?
Hope to hear your response
Thanks Brent

All our suppliers will have some pesticides or ag-chemicals in their pastures.

However NZ has a very strong regulatory regime for the approval of Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines. This process ensures that Agricultural Compounds (such as herbicides for spraying pasture) are only registered if they won’t affect food safety, trade, and animal health and welfare. Some herbicides do have withholding periods after spraying, and farmers are required to comply with these withholding periods. Farmers are also required to keep records proving they have met these withholding periods (and that they have followed the label instructions)

From a practical point of view, there are two reasons why sprays do not create an issue in our pasture based system. Firstly, sprays are very rarely used as the whole point of having pasture is for it to be healthy and persistent. Let it outgrows and thrives above the weeds. Secondly, when spraying is required (which isn’t often), it will be done after the cows have been in the paddock. The cows won’t return to this paddock again for at least 20 days in our rotationally grazed system. There is no product with a withholding period as long as 20 days that would ever be used on pasture based farms.

Lastly, to check that the system is working, MPI run the NCCP program which independently and randomly checks for hundreds of different contaminants in raw milk.

I hope this helps

Thanks

I’ll be trying the munchkin as every formula so far has him in pain and feeding every 2-3 hours!
Hopefully it’s as good as most say!

Is this formula good for bubs with reflux?

Hi Lucy

Based on what others have said on this review site and our FB page it seems our formula is good for little ones with reflux. However I always recommend talking to a health care professional first given the sensitive little tummies. Thanks

Hi I have just given my son his first bottle of munchkin stage 1
Is slow flow bottles better with this formula?

1 answer
Munchkin
GrassFed Milk TeamMunchkin

Hi. It really depends on a few things including your sons feeding technique. Some babies “suck” very fast and some slow. You might have to try a few different bottles / teats to find the optimal one for your son unfortunately. Hope this helps Thks

Does this formula contain corn derivatives?

1 answer
Munchkin
GrassFed Milk TeamMunchkin

Some of the ingredients use corn syrup solids as carrier.
However, most corn-derived products, like corn syrup, do not contain corn protein which causes allergy. Hope this helps ?

Hey, I have switched my 10 week old bub from novalac colic to munchkins just wondering how soon I should see a difference as my girl has been super unsettled we have only been on the formula 2 days. Thank you

hey danielle, was there a reason you decided to switch? from novalac to munchkin? also by unsettled do you mean upset stomach? gassy? not going to toilet?

Danielle R.
Danielle R.

I only changed due to the novalac causing my girl constipation and she never had that before using that :( I read good reviews on this so thought I would give it a try. She is gassy and seems to be really unsettled I don’t know if it’s because of the change or not

michelle
michelle

ah yep that’s why i changed too (tried A2 before this and made my daughter constipated) i would say give it a couple more days (please keep in mind i’m not a doctor, just a fellow mum) to let her body adjust to the new formula. but after like 4-5 days if it doesn’t get any better then maybe look into changing again.. sucks cause here we don’t have little sample packs we can buy to find the right formula for our babies

Hi Richie,
It is likely that the scoop has travelled to the bottom of the can during transit.
If you still are unable to locate it email our customer service team on cservau@munchkin.com and they will be able to organise a replacement for you.
