Great customer service, inconsistent speeds
I can't fault Mungi in terms of customer service, the set up process was quick and straight forward and the staff have always been very good and responsive.
The biggest issue we have had is the reliability of the connection and consistency with speed. We signed up for the Lightning100 tier and initially it was around 80 mps, however this lasted for about a week before it began to taper off to an average max of 50 mps during the day and as low as 2 mps of an evening. We've never managed to hit the initial speed again, despite numerous comms ...with with Mungi and them forever making "changes" to our line, and restarting the modem, which fixed the speed issue for a while before dropping again. We started to experience huge slow downs of an evening to a point that we can't even stream Netflix and have had several incidences of complete drop outs over the last two months. The lack of contract is a bonus as we can now try an alternative provider, hopefully this will allow us to see if it's down to the providers infrastructure or just the NBN in general. Again, I would be happy to stay with them if the connection was better as the staff have been very good.
Good customer service and tech support
I've got FTTN with Mungi. They are very prompt with initial setup and continue good service with excellent tech support. Highly recommended.
Quick, painless service.
Switching connection only took about 4 hours since I ordered the service, but I forgot to mention we didn't have an nbn ready router yet so had to wait for our new router ordered from Mungi to arrive but that is my own fault.
We ordered the Lightning 50 (nbn50) plan through FTTB.
I had requested the router to be pre-configured so all we had to do was plug it in and we were good to go.
Speedtest results showed exactly what we paid for so I am very pleased with the speeds all day round, and have not experienced any dropouts yet (we're only a month in).
Almost all communication and orders are done online which I absolutely love since I hate mucking around with phone services being put on hold, waiting around etc.

Customer service is excellent. I just connected with Mungi and the speed is great. Hope they keep it like this.
Never had to call customer support
I was with BuzzTelco for 9 months before they went out of business. Never had an issue with them. They gave a discount for people to move to Mungi, so been with them for the last 4months or so. They are a bit more expensive and their peak speeds aren't as good. My 50mb/unlimited gets around 20mb during peak and 35mb all other times. BuzzTelco I had almost max connection 24/7.

So refreshing to get such prompt response from support, whether it be phone (a real person in Australia), website chat, Facebook or Whirlpool forum. Well done Mungi - you've raised the bar.

Great NBN Speeds with Terrific Customer Service
I signed up to their NBN 100/40 plan (FTTP) recently and it it's been great so far. The service has been top notch. You can always reach someone in support through the Live Chat. They respond very quick to any service tickets you raise.
I was initially on their L3 network where the international speeds were a bit low. Upon request they quickly moved me onto their L2 network and the speeds have been awesome. I'm extremely happy with their service. Price is reasonable compared to the competition.

I have an NBN 50, went onto whirlpool to learn from the wizards of all things electrical which nbn provider i should go for and the same name kept appearing. a melbourne salt of the earth start up run by no nonsense entrepreneurs. i cannot stress enough how much this quality for competitive prices should take over Australian business models. please more of this, the service has been exceptional - i fixed a router issue in under 5 mins over facebook chat, the sort of thing which would take 5 days (no i am not exaggerating) a company like telstra (it was telstra). Invest, this is the noble future of all things quality!

Great internet, great customer service
Mungi has been our ISP for 5 months now and I don't have a single complaint about their service or customer support.
Setting up internet in a new house was fast and easy. A few stability issues in the first day or so, but these were resolved as soon as I brought it to their attention. I received email responses to my tickets within an hour of opening them, and all problems were taken care of much faster than I expected.
Excellent customer service and a totally painless setup process. Would recommend to anyone looking for a provider in an area that they're in.
Mungi is Number One For Service
Activated and connected yesterday to NBN with Mungi. I had some difficulty in connecting to the Internet. About 8:30 pm I sent a ticket via iPad and a Portable WiFi 4G, outlining my problems.
In less than 2 minutes they were on the phone to me, going through various parts of the Modem/Router, there was lots of patience shown, he was such a great guy, so helpful and in about 20 minutes or so, he had sorted it all out for me, and things are now working like never before. This is my first time on NBN, even though it is FTTN, it is so much faster ...
A painless experience
Getting our NBN set up with Mungi was a painless experience thanks to their excellent customer service. The live chat function on their website was particularly useful.
We were particularly happy with how quickly our internet was up and running after signing up. It only took a couple of days. It's a month in and so far our internet has been reliable with an average speed of 50mbps
I transferred to Mungi after two frustrating weeks trying to get an NBN service from another provider. Within 24 hours I had my NBN appointment. The appointment happened on time and I was all set to go but the internet connection didn’t work. I logged a service ticket on the Friday evening of a long weekend expecting no response until Tuesday at the earliest. Thanks to Mungi I was connected by Sunday evening - a very impressive service.

Moved into our place with NBN FTTP (fibre to the premise) and was a little unsure on who I should use for my first NBN connection.
I've waited a couple of months before submitting this review, as I wanted to test the connection out for a while and give it a proper review.
After some online recommendations from other users, along with no connection costs, no contracts and no disconnection costs, I had nothing really to lose. I signed up for my service on the Tuesday, asked for my service to be up and running by Friday. Sure enough, the ser...vice was up and running as per my request. Fantastic. Lots of other Mungi customers have had services signed up for and working within hours. Surely that's an Australian record?! The best thing about Mungi for me has been their customer service. Nearly any time of the day or night, I've been able to get a reply within minutes. The staff are contactable online via multiple platforms and knowing they're all located in Oz, it makes discussion easy. In regards to the NBN connection, the quality has been excellent. I have a 100/40 connection and I consistently receive 95Mbps off peak and throughout peak times, I'll get 85-95Mbps downstream. My uploads are usually 35-37Mbps all day and night.

It is now approximately 4 months since i changed two connections to Mungi, 1fttn and 1fttp, 50Mbps.
You could sum up my experience since being connected to Mungi Internet in very easy words, how boooring.. why? Its simply fantastic, sign up, get it up and running and forget about it - it simply works great! Not one sinhle issue since having been connected, it just works as it,'s supposed to. That easy.
Having had my own modem I can't highlight enough the effort which has been put in by Mungi internet to get me online with the fttn connection....

I have a NBN FTTN connection which, as the electrical engineers among you will know, is an accident waiting to happen. I actually came to Mungi my line had a fault - not fixed by my previous ISP. In fixing this Mungi were fast, reliable and a pleasure to deal with.
Mungi's online chat system is very effective and their email response is very good.
Speed is not my main concern - a reliable service is - but Mungi appear to purchase their back haul ...from Optus. So, in terms of speed, what you would get from Optus you will get from Mungi. One thing I should note: The IP address assigned appears to be NATed. That is, you cannot open a port on it from elsewhere on the internet. Strictly speaking a NATed IP address does not constitute an internet connection. But, to be clear, such an IP address will not stop you browsing, sending emails, watching movies or all the other things that most people do so I doubt that this will be an issue for most. The fix, offered by Mungi, is to get a fixed IP address. This costs $10 per month. Given the excellent service mention above this is money well spent. This last point raises a point that I like make make. Users are IPv6 ready. Backbone switches are IPv6 ready. So when are the ISPs going to get their act together! To be fair this issue is beyond Mungi's control - looking at you Optus. IPv4 is dead. Lets bury it and get rid of all that NAT nastiness.

If the modem is capable of the current NBN technology you are on and you have a basic understanding of how to login to the device and change your login details, you can easily sign up with them.
They may be able to assist you as well with the configuration.
