A "must" if you want to breast-feed comfortably
I used a My Brest Friend feeding pillow until my daughter was about 10 months old, and i really couldn't have done without it. It made breastfeeding so much more comfortable, bringing my baby to the perfect height for her to attach. I also found the little pocket quite handy for keeping things like my iphone or remote control (or snacks!). I was lucky to borrow one off a friend, but this time around (i'm due in 2 months), I'll definitely be buying one. Can't do without!
Made breastfeeding a lot easier and more comfortable.
Loved being able to feed relatively hands free!!!
I found the my brest friend deluxe excellent during the firatfew months of feeding my daughter. I had quite a sore back after the birth and found the back support improved my comfort extremely while sitting for those long periods you do while feeding. Unfortunately we did not have the space (or the budget) to invest in one of those flashy feeding chairs, so this was my compromise and i found it brilliant. The cover is easy to chuck in the machine and replace, and the handy pocket is great for those little things you find ALWAYS out of reach whi...le breastfeeding. Now that my daughter is a bit older she doesnt really seem to like laying at the angle created by the pillow, but the first few months i found it brilliant! We got ours near new from ebay so saved a lot and found it great value for money These can be a little on the expensive side brand new, but there are many to be found on sites such as ebay or gumtree
Made feeding a lot easier
I have use My Breast Friend since I got home from the hospital. It has made breastfeeding so much more comfortable and I still use it today with my almost 9 month old son.
Easy to use. Comfortable. Provides good back support.
My son would fall asleep breastfeeding early on - perhaps he was a little too comfortable. Would love extra covers to be available in Australia.
No other breast-feeding pillow can compare, as none are anywhere near as stable or comfortable to use as this one. You forget you have it on! My son loves it and even snoozes peacefully on it after his feed. The key feature is its flat shelf-like top, and the fact that once it's on it does not require constant readjusting. If you want a transformed breastfeeding experience, get this pillow. Your back and shoulders will be saved - no wonder all lactation consultants recommend it.
Comfortable, stable, a joy to use, soft & washable cover, adjustab...
Look around if you want to get it new, you'll find a store that charges about $10 less. I bought mine secondhand on ebay.
I keep mine clipped up to prevent further splitting when moving it about.
I use a terry towling nappy over the top so I don't have to bother with the issue of unzipping and washing the cover.
Especially good for mum's who've had C-Sections
Variety of covers.
I think it's awesome for feeding, a normal pillow will just not suffice.
It was overpriced in many stores, apart from being expensive already for a...
I should've bought this pillow the first few days in hospital so that I could have gotten additional use out of it (the cost of it still stings), however, I wanted to wait to see if the breastfeeding would continue successfully. Definitely recommend it as an early purchase for the first few weeks of a baby's life.
I bought this pillow when my baby was 8 weeks old after increasingly sore shoulders, arms and nipples! The Brest Friend, despite its daggy name that makes my husband laugh, is a great product. I have my arms free to read a book/surf t...
Love it love it love it! broke the plastic latch when slammed it in the car door. Company sold me a reasonably priced replacement cover with latch in a jiffy. SOOO happy with this product and the company!
This pillow is the reason why I am still able to breastfeed at 11 months! Being a small woman, it was impossible to find a pillow that raised baby up to be able to latch on properly without me having to lean over and make my shoulders and back kill. Once I got this pillow (cheap second hand on ebay) I actually started to relax and really enjoy breastfeeding! Love the latch to strap it on.
Like the idea of a detachable pillow to raise baby's head a little bit more. Hope they add this onto future models.
This breast feeding pillow is easy to use and kept my baby at a good height for feeding. There is a clip around the middle so it doesn't slip away like regular pillows, with a handy pocket for keeping small items in. The My Brest Friend breast feeding pillow has a nice firm surface which supports baby's head nicely and a machine washable removable cover which was handy for cleaning spilled milk off of.
Easy to use and saved my back when both breast feeding and using the bottle later.
Was a bit too expensive for a breast feeding pillow.
This product was an absolute lifesaver. It made me so much more comfortable so I could just focus on feeding the baby. I originally tried using a V shaped pillow but I found that it kept slipping and my baby kept sliding between myself and the pillow, so I was aching more trying to hold both the baby and the pillow! My brest friend was great for the reasons I stated above. The down side is the cost if you were to buy new, but I got mine cheap second hand off ebay. I'm not bothered that its second hand since the cover is washable. (But bear in m...ind that a lot of baby vomit does go into the pillow which I don't think is washable so it might not be for everyone!) Overall loved this product and would recommend it. Clips on so the pillow doesn't slip, flat and firm so the baby doesn't roll. Gives good support to prevent aching arms, neck and back. Cover is removable and machine washable. None (except cost but I bought mine cheap second hand)
Highly recommend in buying this pillow if breast feeding. Yes it's a little expy, but i think it's worth it from getting bad back or shoulder pain due to not being supported properly. The first couple of weeks i used normal pillows which kept moving and started to get pains in the arm/back due to bad support. I like how you can take off the pillow case and wash it whenever it gets dirty.
Gives the support that no other pillow can give when breastfeeding. Doesn't move around.
Little Expy and a little bulky for a pillow, but i guess it's the price u pay for something that does it's job!
If I didn't use this breastfeeding pillow my back and arms would ache. I tried two other pillows- the milkbar made my back ache and the boppy pillow was too soft. This was a perfect breastfeeding pillow for me. I think the fact that it doesn't need to be constantly readjusted due to the strap going all around the waist makes it so much better then any other breastfeeding pillow available.
I love this product. It was my favourite of the three different breast feeding pillows I tried. It is firm-made out of foam so the baby does not sink down. It...
The cost may put some people off (I paid $99), but I was recommended this pillow from a friend and it is worth every cent I paid, considering I use it every day up to 9 times a day. This pillow has made breasfeeding easier and more enjoyable as I got off to a bad start feeding, now it is a breeze due to the pillow. I have recommended this pillow to all new mums I know!
Firm and stable pillow. Easy to adjust and use without bub sinking into the pillow which keeps bub a little more alert during feeds. Good for posture as it helps keep you upright and there are arm rests to make feeding more comfortable.
I found this pillow so comfortable & worth every cent. Originally I used cushions propped under my elbows but they kept moving and were very uncomfortable. This pillow changed all of that. Bub loved it as well - he was very comfortable.
The most important thing was that it is very comfortable. It has a cover that is easy to wash, as it can be removed & washed in the washing machine. The adjustable sizing strap is great, especially as your belly gets smaller and smaller after the birth. There are soft back & arms rests, which makes it even more comfortable. There's also a handy pocket to store things, so that you don't have to get up to get anything.
Questions & Answers
Can you actually walk around with this while breastfeeding?
When bub 2 is born bub 1 will be 21 months and I won't be able to always sit still for long, esp if she takes as long as he did in the first few months!
Thanks in advance!
Yes I do this all the time! I did it when I had just the one and now it's particularly useful now that she is 2.5 Years old and I've got a 4 month old, so multi tasking is so great when I'm in a rush and the little one needs to feed.
