doors. 4th visit, the final pieces were installed. Original install was 19 Jan and the final pieces were was almost 2 months later. None of the attendances were prioritised they were just put back in the queue with all other jobs. I had to push for the final install date before I went on holidays. They offered Saturday install, but when I asked for that to take place I was told it would be at least 3 weeks for a Saturday booking. Clearly no prioritisation.

No accountability on managing the issues like any good customer service organisation would have done. The doors are great but I cannot recommend MSD based on multiple issues. I had to ask for a discount due to the inconveniences there was no real apology or anything offered to me for the inconvenience.

Different from Quote – Had a rear security door installed and when quoted was confirmed and noted on the quote that the lock on the front (already installed) security door could and would be changed to match the rear door so one key could be used on both. Installer knew nothing about this and as a result now have different keys. Poor service,

Poor service – 11 July 2022, I ordered and purchased 1 x Hoppers Crossing security door and 1 x crimsafe sliding door. Each costing $1000. 7 September 2023 was alarmed to notice security mesh was coming away on Hoppers Crossing security door and was easily pushed out from outside of door, hence no longer secure. discovered the mesh was not right and was coming away close to door handle.

On same day an installation coordinator contacted me via email asking for photos.

Sent a number of pictures on same day.

11 September was contacted advising it was not warranted and I had to pay $300 for it to be fixed.

On assessing my sliding Crimsafe door, I was disappointed to noticed that they installed the door the wrong way around with the screws facing outside of the door, so someone can easily remove the screws. Unfortunately this security door is also not secure.

They give poor customer service and a faulty product that at the end of the day does not serve its purpose.

Suggest you save your time and money and go elsewhere!

Security Doors – Quoted 3-4 weeks for the doors to be fitted but after the time elapsed, he told us that we would have to have steel frames rather than aluminium and that he should have realised it at the time. later, they were ready to install only to find the doors were too big. He incorrectly measured it. After another 6 weeks the doors were installed and looked great but 7 months is too long to wait!

Simple process – I called after reviewing the website wanted something other than the usual boring options. Guy comes out measures suggests the best look and what colour to go with. No payment required until completion and even then no pressure. Most importantly it looks and operates perfectly

MSD Melbourne CrimSafe Doors: Good and easy to deal with – Had a new CrimSafe security door installed. Door opening was not square!! Not a problem. Door was custom built to fit. On installation, clearance issue with part of eaves!!! Not a problem. Door taken away to be adjusted and framing piece added to the door at no cost. Door installed with second visit. Communication excellent.

Excellent service and products – I wanted Crimsafe security doors, and the team at Michael's were fantastic. Great showroom, excellent product knowledge, and the doors were ready on time as promised. The installer was careful and I was left with smooth sliding, very secure security doors. Would highly recommend this company.
