Friendly, super helpful and quick process.
My experience with MyBudget has been nothing short of fantastic! The process was quicker than I imagined it would be, and they make sure that there is someone there you can talk to every step of the way. The Team have all been very pleasant to talk with over the phone, and so far I have nothing negative to say about MyBudget and their products. Glad I went through with it and strongly recommend anyone in financial distress to do the same.
"We can't help you" - My budget
The decision to call My Budget was not made lightly but after ongoing money worries and a baby on the way we booked a phone consultation.
Both me and my partner have fulltime employment and we were advised over the phone that they would not be able to help as I would be going on maternity leave in the near future - which was why we made the call in the first place.
This experience left us feeling more helpless and we dont know where to go from here. We thought we were being proactive to set up a better future for our growing family. Their only solution was to move back in with our parents.
Did nothing but take my money
So I started with My Budget after I was at risk of losing of car as I had gone through a break up and some financial hardship. I needed some help although I was on a single income and although the fees seemed high it was a good solution to get back on top of things. When I signed up I was assured the first thing sorted was my car loan, well I was receiving calls and a guy knocking at my door to repossess my car, I had to call my budget in tears for them to organise it even though it was the first thing on there agenda. Well since being with the...m, my car was repossessed and my phone/account with Telstra was cancelled (after 12 years loyal customer) when questioned I got no real answer but take home pay wasn't enough to cover my bills but enough to cover the $250 PM for there fees. I thought they were there to help but no, I got further bad credit and my assets taken away. Do NOT use these people if you are on a lower or single income, they will not help. Every time I asked for them to call a company for it there was a cost....the fees are ridiculous. I also was not kept in the loop about my car payments and even though they do a spreadsheet to show income and outgoings, when you pay $250 PM you expect a little more communication. Do yourself a favour and go to a financial counsellor and ask how to pay off your debts through financial hardship agreements. Speak to Credit Card providers and your financial institutions, trust me you will save any hassles and get ahead! In the end I have cancelled with them but there is a fee to cancel the contract which is nearly $2000!!!! Needless to say I am heading off to the Ombudsman.
Caring & informative
I was stressed & upset about my financial situation. Everyone at My Budget, helped me by always being there for me. To find solutions to my problems & caring about me as a person. Also they showed me how my life can get better for me & my family. Now I am so much happier that I can see my goals happening in the future.
Long drawn out process that resulted in nothing, wrong information given, wrong financial numbers recorded. My experience not consistent with all the great reviews, to be honest its an experience I wish I had never had. Just seemed focused on signing you up to take the weekly fee, and didn't take care in listening.
Amazing just lifesaving
I’m a single mum of 2 kindy aged kids and have struggled for 1.5 years with managing my debt, I was told several times before that bankruptcy is my only option.... I had to sell what I had to make ends meet by the end of the time..
I finally got ahold of my budget (got a free 2 hour session) and they gave me a forecast of what my finances would be like if I stayed on my current path ..... let’s just say I agreed to do my insolvency !!!
The MB team (Tanya particularly) were amazing helping me every step of the way attending to all my silly questions and overdue bills now 2 months in and I’m debt free and got money left over to take the kids to America
We were in a bad financial position, just had our first baby and couldn't even pay for our ticket out of the hospital carpark. We joined mybudget and in two years have turned our finances around and learnt so much about budgeting. We have paid of multiple debts and are hoping to be completely debt free by the end of 2019!
We can't thank MyBudget enough for the support we received in our time of need. We wouldnt have a house to live in without their help!
Questions & Answers
If I require an amount of $50 - $60K to cover my current finances would My Budget be able to help to find a company to finance the loan
My answer would be no. I asked them if they could recommend the best companies to save money when it comes to insurance, electricity, gas and so on...and they don’t do that. They only work with you to come up with a budget based on your take home pay so you are able to eliminate debt and pay bills on time.
