Unable to cancel a service we had for 3 years. This company made it impossible. No Customer Service by phone, defaulted to a useless chat bot. Unable to change details or payment method online. Locked out. Their responses were empty, generic emails. Please avoid
slow internet streaming keeps buffering Grrr
I have been with myrepublic since early 2017 had good service until this last week july 2020 I don't know what changed but streaming started buffering try to call only to be diverted to live chat I asked for someone to call me but No so I gave live chat ago it dropped out when I tried to troubleshoot Grrr so started again asked for someone to call No live chat again it dropped out Start again same thing asked for someone to call No third time it dropped out again so I'm over their Crap customer service & asked for it to be cancelled after this ...next billing period. I get a phone call the next morning asking me to do a speedtest but by this stage I was over it & told them I just want to cancel it as if I request to be called after trying to call them 3 time's only to be cutoff & told to use live chat that dropped out 3 time's maybe call them that day not the next day. your customer service is very poor maybe have a customer phone service so people don't get frustrated with live chat Regards Rick
3rd party Internet Router lost connection.
Quickly resolved 3rd party TP-Link Internet Router NBN connection configuration. This was greatly appreciated considering how busy the queue/waiting time. These low-end 3rd party internet routers can be very tricky to setup.

Excellent continued service
Excellent broadband connection. Fixed any issues quickly. Best bandwidth using zoom iCloud meetings. Great helpful and friendly service especially in the times we are living in it’s a relief and refreshing.
It is to early to have an opinion about the FTTN system. Until now I was connected to the NBN by HFC and I was happy with quality despite the fact that the speed never riches 100 or 50 Mbs

Too long waiting on tech support
Had cause to use the tech support chat a lot recently. Basis of their support model is:
Answer your chat, then keep on hold for over an hour or more before answering you as each agent assigned 5-10 tickets concurrently.
Disappointing as have previously found the service/speed adequate. But when on chat, as YOU cant leave the machine for short time without them cancelling the chat, it means you have PLENTY of time to write reviews :-)
Fast and reliable
Our previous modem was faulty and we could not use the WiFi. They delivered a brand new one to us in no time and solved the issue quickly. Thank you!

Could suggest that a phone service to talk through with less technical or older people to connect modem and connect to internet ( a walk through basically) otherwise would have rated 5 stars

Got a late payment fee
Made 3 more requests for callback
Talked to someone on message service and finally received a call 3 days later.
Was given a $5 discount and late payment fee waived
Paid bill and then was suspended same day due to no payment.
The whole reason i didnt pay was because of a dispute of service. And then because of the LPF.
Paid finally when contact was made....

After MONTHS of mixed up accounts and details no one could get me a result until I got Joseph. I was about to cancel everything all together as countless useless attempts of problems consistently not resolved. Joseph spent the time and FINALLY fixed all my issues !
Amazing customer service
Marivic was extremely helpful. She did everything she could to help us with our connection problems. She was kind and patient. Absolutely stellar customer service. Marivic will now be my go-to if I have any more problems!

Internet went out for 2 weeks.
I was in contact with them every day for the 2 weeks.
First week they did nothing - blamed it on a 3rd party.
2nd week they finally acknowledged there might be an issue.
Great service and connections
Great connection, no dropout or issue so far. I have been with them for 12 months on the Essential, upgrading to the NBN next month. Recommend for family with 3-4 people.
Can't live without it
Love my internet so does my children we can play more games and surf the net find out more about things about animals and people who we are were we come from
Customer service is HORRIBLE
My ADSL has been working really slow for weeks then Saturday night it got cut off completely. Used mobile data to get to live chat and chatted with three different people One said it was my modem (my modem turned out fine after testing the next day) and that I have to pay $200 to get a technician over to tell me that my modem is not working (ridiculous). Then the second one offered to reset the connection on their end, didn't work. I did get a connection back but it was so bad it doesn't even load a page. Then the third one told me to upgrade t...o NBN and directed me to sales. None actually offered or tried fixing it. Then I had to agree to get NBN only because I realised they weren't really going to do anything. I have no working internet for almost two weeks now and then the sales lady that rang about the NBN wanted me to pay and get my card over the phone. I am not paying these people any more money for a service that is basically non existent. Horrible.

I have had this service for a year. It is incredibly slow and no cheaper then other providers. I just went with them because it apparently didn't have extra charges if you moved/cancelled the service. This ended up not being true, regardless of what was stated before purchasing the service. Last but not least, the customer service for this terrible service is non existent. They only have online chat as a point of communication which is terrible. Go with anyone except for this service.
