OK for Youtube sometimes, forget it if you want to use Foxtel!
Been a customer for a while now, was OK at first when it worked.
Lots of unexpected drop-outs, sometimes a one off for the week/weekend, sometimes disrupts an entire week/weekend. Lousy when you are working from home.
Before and initially when the plans changed from 1 to the 2 different speed tiers we were pulling 40-50 Mbps regularly which is within the plan details, then we dropped to 20-22 Mbps. After contacting MyRepublic they said it was "normal" with "coexistence" and refused to follow up or fix the issue.
We used to be able to stream on 4-5 different devices, now we are down to to 2-3.
The connection is reliable with a dropout less than once a week normally. Also a couple of issues with billing, but all were addressed promptly. Overall a great experience. Much better than my last provider
No fuss internet
I'd like too recommend my republic as a no fuss fast speed internet provider never had a problem in nearly 3 years no plans on changing speed is great customer service is good very refreshing after dealing with some other internet providers

Contact them daily Because it always stops working have to reset the modem minimum 2 times a day if I’m lucky, was asked by MyRepublic if I had another modem I could use (the modem I was using was the modem they gave me when I started my contract) and when it is connected they just say the speed is from congestion, even when I use it at 3am it is exact same speed.
Cannot open basic apps on my mo...bile device while it is connected to wifi always switching to data If this was the only company provider left in the world I would prefer to not have any internet for the rest of my life, then stress out daily over this thrash not connecting , dropping out and general speed

Worst service ever
Had problems with accounts and trying to sort it out which went on for seven months. I gave up after promises of calling me never happened and $600 out of pocket. Now with Optus same price better service and you can speak to someone .

Stable connection. Poor customer service.
Connection was pretty reliable.
Price increased and speed reduced since I signed up but I stayed because I couldn't be bothered switching companies. Then there was a better deal being offered but when I contacted customer services but they weren't able to switch me as it is only for new customer (I hate this policy and I don't understand why it is so common for companies to not look after current customers. Surely it is cheaper to keep a current customer than to find a new one with advertising, etc...) or to match other company offer so I switched companies.

Best internet for gamers
Was having trouble with my internet, reached out to the support team who put me through to the games dept. Josch was awesome and got me sorted quickly over discord.

Shocking service - web chat only unless you can prove you actually have a problem.
Completely useless staff on chat - do not have power to do simple things like add account holders. So when the other 'account holder' contacts them they force you to quit and rejoin the queue, to add THAT account holder. Then would not call us, at 7:45pm to add the new account holder! Chat staff just wanted to hold us out of a real phone call long enough to call it quits at 8pm. Will actively tell people not to use MyRepublic. Shockingly bad service.

i started off on this company they told me they were australian the connection was good to begin with then it started i paid for a nbn 50 plan had a gamer subscription and then they tell me im capped at 6mbps this service is terrible plus they are avid liers they only think about them selves terrible terrible terrible service

Worst ever service from a telco
The company messed up multiple times. Because I made a TIO complaint they wrote to me to terminate my service. The tactics used by My Republic are repulsive and unbelievable. The many negative reviews on this site prove I am not alone in my views. Warning: Use at your own peril....
Kids working in maccas make more sense!
Signing up was a breeze, got through spoke to someone in Australia. Well that didn't last long as soon as you have an issue.. no customer service, you call, get hung up on after an automated message, you need to go to use their pathetic chat service like a kid chatting on msn messenger to get any support! Who knows who you are talking to. not personal, very impersonal, misleading false information. Told one thing another thing happens, can't get your chat transcript send if your on a phone only when your using the chat service via a computer. R...ang to terminate service as moving house, after selling, they even have the nerve to say do they people moving into your home want to take over your service! Are you for real you moron!!! The house has been sold i couldn't care what the new owners want to do or who they want to go with. Oh hi you bought my home do you want to take over my internet service? I said to her how dare you you immature brat! I am ringing to cancel as i have sold my Home not moving out of a rental! And its none of her business, she asked me at the start of the conversation why am i cancelling and told her because house is sold an after 1 hour on chat she asked again why are you terminating do you the new owners want to take over your internet? is she dumb! Just do your job. listen to your customers and never again! If you want service don't bother! They charge you a whole month to cancel, no pro rata fees yet quick to charge pro rata fees when their prices go up! They charged me 12 days pro rata when they increased their prices yet i need to pay the full month amount to cancel 5 days into my service, disgusting ! so not bothering with these fools have gone to the telecommunication ombudsman now. They can deal with this incompetent mob!
I had problems with my internet dropping out constantly.Chatted with a technician through their online support and my wifi drops stopped after their advise and trouble shooting. Great customer service.
Not worth it
I don't know what happened with MyRepublic. When I connected back in February, there were no issues, no connection problems, easy to connect with staff over the phone, and any issues were resolved pretty quickly.
However, a few months later into our plan was where everything started to go terribly wrong. I started to get internet dropouts, which were often not resolved for days (there were weekends where we had no internet), and there would be no planned or unplanned outages. When we did have internet it was incredibly slow, to the point where...download/upload was often far less than what we should be getting, not to mention a ridiculously high ping. I was on the GamerPro account, which theoretically was meant to be for those who love to game, and yet when I was playing online with friends my ping would be at least 120, often ballooning out to 200 when there was a lot happening. That's not honestly good for something that is meant to be aimed at gamers, who will be having moments of being in the thick of things. Add to that when you're trying to watch Netflix, Stan or Youtube and you're having to resort to watching everything in low resolution, as anything else would mean that it would buffer for a while, and you know there's massive issues. Often when I would ask for help as well in these respects to MyRepublic, the service sadly would be lacking. I remember one time when I stated that there were connection issues and slow internet, and it would take days for it to be even approached. I'm not an overly big fan of MyRepublic being only accessible over LiveChat as well. I know I can cope with no Internet at times (we don't want to be driven by the Internet in our lives too much!) but it's the principle of the amount that is charged for slow internet and constant dropouts for a service aimed at gamers and meant to have at least 50mbps download, not 18mbps (or worse at peak times). I know that there is no problem with our connection since I have now gone with someone else and we're getting 52mbps download with no issues. Not really value for money. It's a shame as they were once reliable and good.
Awful! Lies! Bad customer service!
As my republic do not have a customer service line only an online chat and the online chat did not work- I Rang complaints line in august 2019 to canceI my account. I was advised My Republic will now process that request.......and advised that the account was now cancelled (LIE).
Another full month Payment taken out of my account a month later on 15th September. I Rang complaints line as MY REPUBLIC dont have customer service line..... waited for ages no answer...... so I called sales line.... answered INSTANTLY I spoke to an agent lets call hi...
Nothing but trouble and no customer service
Have had nothing but trouble with 2.4 GHz service unable to be fixed by my republic have waited over 4 weeks for return phone call , customer service is terrible I am about to go with another company
Removed phone support- only text support
Connection has been OK, not super fast, was better a few months ago. Company removed phone support for existing customers, only have phone support for sales and an online text support service, very disappointing. I went with them initially because they had Aussie phone support and were quick to get onto things however it looks like they have moth balled that. Hopefully they are reading these reviews and realize they are losing customers over it.
Best customer service in the world
Their discord server is one of the best ideas I have ever seen for an ISP to implement and having actual real gamers being the admins for the tech support, they understand what you are talking about.
Josch is by far the best customer service representative for an ISP I have ever encountered.
They give you great speed to begin with before slowing it down
Terrible company. My mother has internet with them. They ask you to go on their website for a speed test which is faster than any other speed test on the internet! All of the others say below 10mb/sec and theirs was saying 65-70-84mb/sec... This is a SCAM! There are screen shots to back this up if anyone wants to see them.
Stay away from this company. The speed starts off great and they throttle it back to give others bandwidth. You shouldn't be getting the spinning loading wheel on NBN!
Constantly slow internet no call Center to fix issues. Will never use again! Not good enough. First few months no issues great speed . after that you try to call them and can't because the call Center isn't working.
