Don't waste your time!

We've tried contacting them via emails with issues and concerns - we receive a response 9 days later.
Our internet for a small house is pathetic and extremely slow.
The 1300 contact number is always offline and unreachable.

No difference in speed compared to ADSL. Frequent dropouts

I would say the average speed is just same as when I used normal ADSL. Cannot see any “faster” thing.
But the most annoying thing is that they seem to have consistent dropout time. I realized in my area, between 12am-1am there would be no internet at all, though the modem is normal. Plus with some random shot dropouts thru out the day.

Very few outages & these not under ISP control. Advertised bandwidth levels generally maintained most of the time. Pricing of service very competitive & lower than most ISP`s. Fast & curtious response to queries on billing changes.

Connection and speed is great. Lack of telephone support is an issue though.

Once I was called back then was great service and they offered many a discount for any inconvenience

Purchased this service a few weeks ago and have had so many problems with very slow speeds and constant dropouts. I contacted MyRepublic a week ago, spent 2 hours on their chat, and was promised a call back within 48 hours. A week later and I'm still waiting! If you like terrible speeds and even worse customer service then this is for you! Can't believe they are still operating! I will be changing over to Aussie Broadband as soon as I can, I will definitely recomend them for great customer service and an actual usuable internet service!

frequent outrage-Lasting for hours/days-Frustrating

There has been frequent outrage recently, lasting for hours, days.
And no compensation provided to customer for the outrages as we have to live without internet for hours and days. Especially when you working from home. Need to think about it or will start loosing customers soon, as i am thinking too to switch provider now.

Slow speeds and different modem

The modem image on the website is a far better model than what they send you. Only getting 15Mbps at peak night time on a 50Mbps plan, off peak the speed it ok. They blame congestion on only have chat support.

Great customer service!! Have not had any speed issues through this crazy Covid crisis. Quite reliable! Keep up the great work guys! Only problem is can not bpay bills. But not really an issue

YouTube TV app is very slow at night

I am on MyRepublic NBN 50. My TV is connected to the modem via cable. At daytime, YouTube TV app works well with about 45Mbps speed and I can watch 4K video smoothly. Everyday starting from about 6pm, YouTube TV app becomes very slow, and its speed is capped at 3.6Mbps, I can't even watch 1080p video. I don't have this issue half a year ago. If I watch YouTube on my laptop via its website at night, its speed is about 20Mbps and I can still watch 4K video. I usually watch TV at night which is terrible experience. Contacted technique support half a year ago and this issue is not resolved today. Speed test always returns 45Mbps which really doesn't make any sense

Changing providers

Despite a many inquires on the online complaints system (which can take 20 mins between messages and with frequent dropouts), the internet service is unusable at peak times and never reaches minimum speed except on their nominated server. All the packages seem to produce the same results. They are quite cheap tho.

Looking forward to getting a new provider and ending my frustation with this one.

If you need to speak to someone on a phone for any faults or troubleshooting, they have no phone line to call. Only thing they have is online messaging. They take 1 hour to respond. Do not use this service if you are a business.

Poor web-page , just wanted to upgrade my plan , my existing 50/20 nbn plan was fine but very slow , wow what a waste of 2hrs ....... one rep was fine , another was very condescending , ....... don't waste your time with these ........ overseas call centers .

Decent service for a good price

Overall I've had very few issues with MyRepublic (though that seems to vary from person to person). I usually get my advertised speeds, and very few drop outs.

I did have an issue where some VoIP services were broken (particularly Discord's screen sharing) however I found out there is an official discord (https://discord.gg/FUZ5T9F) and was able to get it easily fixed by the staff member Gal1leo#0536 (thank you!)

So I am happy.
