Very disappointing customer services
I've spent a lot of time researching and then purchasing an eBike. After paying for it to be assembled professionally, simply can't ride it without the battery die mid hill on me!
The battery had been fully charged on all occasions, dying on me at 45 to 50% of its charge.
So I contacted Mytopia customer service to find out what the best course of action would be to have this fixed. I was told to print off a shipping label and the bike would be collected and looked at to find out the cause of the issue, but when the driver came to collect the ...
Ordered day bed. Shipped without assembly kit. Have to wait another week before we can assemble after already waiting two weeks for delivery. You have one job *facepalm*
Not happy Jan
September 17 paid for a golf cart. 21 of September informed. Due to supply issues cart will be dispatched 1st week of October. 1st of October informed due to unforseen circumstances item will be dispatched 21st of October. But their still advertising the item with a delivery date before my dispatche date. But they have my money thats all that counts. You would think they would waver the shipping fee Absolutely disgusting customer service
they send products that don't even work
I just received EURO CHEF it doesn't even work when it plugged the box looks like it is a second-hand that looks like its a return and they are selling it for $135 but they charged me $175
Awful. Just awful!
Received an electric BMW trike as a gift. Faulty axle. The nut has been welded to the axle and cannot be removed. Emailed support and they are denying that the product was even sent!!! I have the product with postage evidence and they are still denying. Awful. Do not use.
Customer service/email response
This is my second review as the first one you responded quickly. My damaged bike arrived, bent frame and bent brake disk, wobbly seat. After 20 days of emails, no response, even in spam/ trash. Please can you telephone me. Or record the delivery of your emails please.
Works as described
Works well but need to get a light fitted and key pad Also bolts supplied were average quality so replaced with higher quality
I brought a gas heater of them used it for 4 mths last year and this year it stopped working. Payed a professional gas man to look at it cost me 100 dolllars and now they tell me they won’t another 80 dollars to have a look at it. This is crap why should I pay them 80 dollars. Don’t buy from them it’s not worth all the hassle when things don’t work and the warranty only goes for 12 mths when you only use it for 4 mths a year there a scam.
Purchased 16ft trampoline. It arrived faulty. They strung me along for months. In the end they said return in same packaging at my expense over $150. The packaging arrived in poor state, so that was impossible. (as did the trampoline.) Only advice is do not buy. Learnt my lesson to buy from a dodgy online store. Ended up paying more for a very high quality trampoline from jump star.
Terrible after-sale service
Be warned! Product I bought was 'not fit for purpose' and they claiming my return is for 'change of mind' to get a reduced store credit. Gave product out free instead. Found out that their review pages are skewed to only give 'multiple stars'.
PROFLEX TRX2 Electric Treadmill - Utter crap
This is about the treadmill purchased from this store: PROFLEX TRX2 Electric Treadmill.
After 1 yr and 3 months of use, the treadmill belt is ripping in several places. Over the past year, I have had many operational issues with this machine. After about 6 months' of use, it started emanating a loud buzzing fan noise. Then a couple of months' after that, it kept suddenly stopping for no reason intermittently which is quite dangerous when you are having momentum walking and then it suddenly stops. A few times I almost tripped because the treadm...ill stops without notice. It is happening again now. It is a very poor quality machine. I would not buy this brand or this treadmill again. You would think after spending several hundred dollars, it would last more than 1.5 years' at least, even though the machine is not a reputable expensive brand. Mytopia customer service is also horrendous. When I made contact last year saying there is a faulty issue and it was still within warranty, they send me proforma responses without regard to my problem and then said that they will determine if it is faulty, and that I must pay the transportation fee to return the machine to their warehouse for inspection. To transport a machine this size, I can imagine it would cost at least a third of the price of this machine maybe half. They take no responsibility and sell cheap faulty goods that will last you half a year and then wipe their hands clean after. They asked for all this evidence such as a video, which I sent them and it was a total waste of my time. I do not know why they asked me to do this when they want me to still send the entire machine back at my own cost for further inspection. This is not how warranties work and Mytopia should be reported to the ACCC. I won't ever buy from this deplorable company again, or this brand!
Very Poor Customer Services
The products are not too bad & are of reasonable cheap quality
however the customer service is terrible as the are focused on the business end of the sales & not interested in the customer & some items are charged with a picking fee even when you pick up the goods from them but if sent through Courier, you may or may not be charged the transport & that has food for thought,
AVOID. Shocking service and products
AVOID. If I could give it 0 stars I would. We purchased 2 Alpha Electric Scooters and both died within 10mths. When I contacted them they told me that 10mths is a good go with them and tried to fob me off. After so back and forth I sent the scooters to them and they assessed that they were water damaged and it was not covered under warranty. The scooters were never ridden in water, at worst maybe on the road following some rain. The worst product I have ever purchased and the mytopia will try to get out honouring its warrant or replacing faulty goods.

I had a foul experience with mytopia. I bought a washing machine Carson 7kg which when I went to do my first load discovered the inner drum was detached, one side came off one of the suspension rods so when tried to do a first cycle of washing it would not spin properly and error message kept coming up. Long story short - I contacted them thinking they would replace immediately but they actually sent me a video on how to repair a faulty washing machine????? I spoke to a washing machine service/repair professional who advised me not to repair an...d also to check there ABN as he advised that this is not normal. They expected me to repair it, the consumer with ZERO experience!!!! They also advised me via email that it was an "easy" process and I shouldn't have any trouble doing this myself - the SHEER AUDACITY????? UNBELIEVABLE????!!!!??? The washing machine repair professional advised me that I should not have to repair a brand new washing machine by myself no matter how "easy" Mytopia tried to convince me it was. He said first, I needed to have the right equipment, in this case a drill. He said they were making presumptions that consumer should have electric drill and if they didn't they needed to go buy one???? Ridiculous!!!!!! Then they expected me to follow a youtube video so that I can try to repair myself - again ridiculous!!! He advised me that if I cause further damage than they could easily place the faulty item blame on me and thats probably why they advised me to try to repair it myself. I became worried but because I had a lot of stress in my personal situation; my father being in critical condition in ICU I communicated via emails + phone calls that I wanted a replacement or failing that a full refund. It was so hard for me to deal with this situation because of this heart wrenching personal issue and I explained this to Mytopia but ZERO Customer concern. They told me to repack the washing machine and then print out return labels to send back to them - I had to jolly well RE-PACKAGE this BEASTLY MAMMOTH machine by myself it was beyond me!!! I told all my family and friends that this was quite surprising to me and also very weird. Like I've never, ever had this issue with normal companies like good guys and Bing Lee Harvey Normans etc - well you live and learn, and what a lesson!!!!! I had to come home from Hospital and leave my father in critical condition to wrap and package the entire bloody machine!!! Printed the labels out went through all there returns hoopla - what a mess!!! I became concerned about my refund and so I began to look on facebook for consumer watchdog groups and also contacted Fair trade Australia and Consumer Affairs, I also went as far as trying to contact A Current Affair. I felt so disheartened when I received a phone call from a [Name Removed] who advised me that I would not be receiving a refund but the same washing machine that has been repaired. Anyone in there right mind would not want a washing machine that arrived boxed supposedly, allegedly "brand new"????????????? I also need to point out that when I checked out there was a tick box which I selected that advised consumers that it can be installed, my sister tried to check out so we could get a screen grab but you have to pay for the item first, my guess is that they removed this feature from there website. So anyway this [Name Removed] person was explaining to me about how they would send me back the washing machine, of course I reacted, I was at ICU with my family my father in critical condition and fighting for his life. I explained this to [Name Removed] but she didn’t care here attitude was so awful. I started to guess she was an owner of this dodgy outfit just how she was taking my genuine, bona fide complaint personally telling me she is allowed to send me back the washing machine. I kept telling her nobody would be home because our whole family was at the ICU. I told her I had not been home for days, she had an extremely NASTY attitude and I just couldn’t deal with her anymore. I advised her about how I sought legal advice and also contacted Fair trade, Consumer Affairs, Watchdog groups etc and I said I would give a bad google review, meaning I would tell the ABSOLUTE TRUTH OF MY EXPERIENCE WITH MYTOPIA. She started to accuse me of threatening her??? But wait there's more...she started threatening me!!!! This [Name Removed] person threatened me by saying she would send the machine back to me without someone being home and signing for it???? I told her she couldn't do that and she told me that they could, in fact every time I tried to say something she would talk over me in a bullying manner and with a rude tone. I got so frustrated and angry having been through the absolute mill with this terrible company and I told her her company was shady and shonky and she continued to talk over me. I was emotionally and mentally exhausted so I handed the phone to my sister-in-law who reminded her that we were in a emergency situation with our family but she was quite heartless. My guess is this is her awful company and no wonder when I told people how much money I saved by buying non-brand washing machine from a company NOBODY in my circle had heard of. My friends and family were concerned for me that I bought from a shady outfit but when my machine arrived quite fast I thought I had the last laugh. When it first arrived there was terriential rain in Sydney, and the driver couldn't fit the washing machine into my laundry door because it was boxed. It was undercover but he struggled according to my brother, now in hindsight I realise he was just lazy and didn't want to unbox himself and install. I had to fight to get a measly refund back and received an apology email from an [Name Removed] who I’m guessing is her husband. Honestly, not good enough, you’re wife/business associate etc [Name Removed] needs to not deal with customers. Please, do not buy from this trash company. Save your money and your precious energy.
