Over 4 weeks after submitting an application for a building loan for our existing land we were given preapproval but then the banker I was dealing with left so the preapproval was gone and was told to reapply. So after 8 weeks of resubmitting a second application the credit team doesn't want to approve the loan. The first banker was able to include the Company income in application 1. But they would not include my Company income but included the Tax I paid on my Company income in application 2. How can NAB include the tax and not the income? I ...first need to earn the income to pay the tax right? They knew the application was for a building loan from day 1 and still allowed us to continue through the process for over 12 weeks, delaying our opportunity to look for funding elsewhere. Their behavior was unprofessional, uninformed and negligent. I would strongly advise against using NAB. Found out NAB is being sued by ASIC for 24b dollars.
No help whatsoever
My card expired, they said one was sent in mail which it wasn’t and never is so now I have to get photo ID or answer questions over phone because they can’t be bothered automatically sending me a new card. Cant wait to get my money out of this bank.
Uncaring is an understatement
Having been with this bank for over 12 years and putting millions of dollars personally and much more via business after entering into financial hardship after major personal injury they refuse to let us redraw on any property forcing us to have to sell our investment property seriously look elsewhere

Cant even handle online banking..
Freshly opened account, cant even accept payments from customers as the account can even be verified , ludicrous SMS system that the operator can send and i receive but wont work on the website, apparently its my browser, but the commbank one works, yeah right. losing money due to this baaaad operation .. apparently ill need to download a new browser for the sole purpose of doing any online banking with NAB when all the others work fine..
Will never bank with NAB again. You cant go worse than a one star if i could i would. As a small business owner i was not valued and lied to throughout my entire proccess. It took over a year and a half for my issues to get resolved.

I approached NAB Small Business Connect to set up a business loan and two business accounts. My "Business Banker" was consistently slow to respond to emails..... it seemed the only way I could elicit a response was by ringing. Each time I rang, the "Business Banker" was unavailable but I would get an email the next day. I have wasted countless hours preparing documents, emailing and ringing over the last month to be advised "we were only looking to assist if we could have your home loans approved in the same application". I wish he would have been upfront about this at the start so I hadn't have wasted the last month. What does my mortgage have to do with my business banking needs and why does NAB feel entitled to my mortgages?
inefficient and unprofessional service
i went to close business account, i was told that i have credit balance of credit card i can not close until credit balance become zero. NAB will transfer money from credit card to my personal account.
10 days gone still money was not transferred from credit card to personal account.

Overseas with no money, blocked account.
Started a trip overseas and they blocked my account. No way to get any money. Spent hours on the phone.Said i have to come into a local branch. There are no local branches overseas!!!! I dont know what to do. Cant even book a ticket back to aus. Will try embassy next
Making payment or sending remittance
Just making a basic money transfer or sending remittance after making a transfer is painful. I Just made a payment and there is not a simple field to add email address to send to. Website is slow and clumbsy compared to other major banks. I regret joining NAB based on the website.
Horrible and incomptenent
We wanted to get a home loan from NAB. The specialist prepared the loan documents with multiple errors in very important areas. When we pointed out that such errors shall be corrected, the loan "specialist" prepared the next version, where a bunch of new errors have been introduced. When we pointed out to such errors again, the NAB "specialist" went silent. WE tried to get in touch over the phone and email multiple times but did not get any reply. We then forgot about NAB and took a loan from one of online lenders, their process was much quicke...r and more efficient. However, we then discovered that NAB left 2 footprints in our Equifax files. So, these incompetent people could not give us a loan because of their incompetence but successfully left 2 enquiries in our credit files. Stay away from NAB, there are much better lenders out there.
Customer service has been degrading year by year
I have been with NAB for 19 years and I have noticed that in the last few years their service is getting worse and worse. This is the same feedback from few of my friends.

Their loan manager had the home loan application for 5 weeks. A tick and flick application because of huge income and huge equity. It was fully approved. Yet NAB still delayed a 60 day settlement. No reason given. No apologies. Nothing.
They just don’t care about customers or customer service. I have moved all my banking to a local credit union. I tell everyone I know to take their business away from this soulless institution.
Great Credit card fee free for shareholders
Great credit card, fee free for NAB shareholders. Being a big bank, there is a whole department dedicated to detecting fraudulent activity. I received a call from them asking about some recent transactions overeseas that were not mine. I was refunded the funds quickly, and was very impressed.

If I could give a negative star I will
Don't open a NAB Traveller card or any NAB account. They will only give the good points upon opening. I was told that when I don't need the foreign money anymore, I can just transfer the remainder to my other NAB account. The teller made it sound very easy and quick. However, when you close it, the teller will tell you that it will take 5 business days before you can get your money back. This was not advised when I opened the account. She even had the audacity to ask if I had read the booklet. I'm glad I've totally gotten out of it. This was at the Willows branch.

I was at the 7 Sandridge Road, Bunbury, WA 6230 today at about 12 noon and I witnessed what appeared to be workplace bullying. This blonde lady (maybe the manager?) was talking to an teller in a very demeaning way, the teller was an asian lady who perhaps just made a mistake. I felt sorry for her, It was very painful to watch. Workplace bullying in front of customers is outrageous and should not be tolerated in any workplace.
Terrible bank avoid it
This bank is terrible they approved me for a personal loan i needed to do some renovations after a month I pulled most of the money they blocked my account and wouldn't allow me to touch the last $3000 left in the account and put fraud suspicion on me, every time i go to the bank they would treat me with no privacy in front of everyone in the branch for three months i didn't get any letter about the issue, i had to go and put my loan payments during those 2 months at the branch, waiting for like 2 hours while the branch manager speak to the fr...aud department. I put a complaint and they only got back to me when i decided to pay the whole loan back and was only left like 4k which I paid the next day. their resolution was that I need to provide every single receipt i spent the money on or pay the loan back, i was so angry on the complaint officer as if he couldnt see i paid 95% of the loan back and i was on the way to finish my business with them. They messed up my renovation plans, i buy things second hand or brand new left stock from gumtree and Facebook where would I get receipts for that. They were absolutely terrible putting my clean credit rating on risk. After 3 months of taking the loan, i paid it all back with interests and closed my account with them.

majority of NAB ATM don't offer this service , NAB bank don't really own any ATM machines, NAB bank hire them that's why it's difficult to find a original nab ATM they got rid of most of them to save money.its Disappointing and frustrating when I need to find an NAB ATM to withdraw money have to use a different bank costing extra to use.
