Great Credit card fee free for shareholders
Great credit card, fee free for NAB shareholders. Being a big bank, there is a whole department dedicated to detecting fraudulent activity. I received a call from them asking about some recent transactions overeseas that were not mine. I was refunded the funds quickly, and was very impressed.

If I could give a negative star I will
Don't open a NAB Traveller card or any NAB account. They will only give the good points upon opening. I was told that when I don't need the foreign money anymore, I can just transfer the remainder to my other NAB account. The teller made it sound very easy and quick. However, when you close it, the teller will tell you that it will take 5 business days before you can get your money back. This was not advised when I opened the account. She even had the audacity to ask if I had read the booklet. I'm glad I've totally gotten out of it. This was at the Willows branch.

I was at the 7 Sandridge Road, Bunbury, WA 6230 today at about 12 noon and I witnessed what appeared to be workplace bullying. This blonde lady (maybe the manager?) was talking to an teller in a very demeaning way, the teller was an asian lady who perhaps just made a mistake. I felt sorry for her, It was very painful to watch. Workplace bullying in front of customers is outrageous and should not be tolerated in any workplace.
Terrible bank avoid it
This bank is terrible they approved me for a personal loan i needed to do some renovations after a month I pulled most of the money they blocked my account and wouldn't allow me to touch the last $3000 left in the account and put fraud suspicion on me, every time i go to the bank they would treat me with no privacy in front of everyone in the branch for three months i didn't get any letter about the issue, i had to go and put my loan payments during those 2 months at the branch, waiting for like 2 hours while the branch manager speak to the fr...aud department. I put a complaint and they only got back to me when i decided to pay the whole loan back and was only left like 4k which I paid the next day. their resolution was that I need to provide every single receipt i spent the money on or pay the loan back, i was so angry on the complaint officer as if he couldnt see i paid 95% of the loan back and i was on the way to finish my business with them. They messed up my renovation plans, i buy things second hand or brand new left stock from gumtree and Facebook where would I get receipts for that. They were absolutely terrible putting my clean credit rating on risk. After 3 months of taking the loan, i paid it all back with interests and closed my account with them.
Take your money but cant process a credit card payment
Terrible bank with unreliable service. Every time my mother enters her bank in Albury to make a deposit or withdrawal they send me a text in Melbourne to ask me how I enjoyed my banking experience. They can't even identify the right customer. I have had random phone calls from a manager who had accessed their private data base and thought I was a different person. The issues I have continue when I schedule a payment from my cheque account to pay off my credit card. They are quick to take my money out of my account but I have to ring twice in on...e day to ask why my credit card hasn't been paid off. Again I will probably be charged interest charges that I have to chase up because they have made a mistake or had technical problems. Poor poor poor. I would leave except I have an offset account with them sadly

I Have been with nab over 25 years, when I made a compliant about over charged fee, they were fast reply to my complaint and issued a refund in 5 business day, very good customer service.
38 years+No loyalty by the nab
Been with nab for 38year +. My husband passed December 2018. so been a very difficult year! I have been a victim of identity theft starting in February 2019!!! so if my Mobil rang and i didn't know a number i wouldn't answer or if the person wanted personal information i would give it over the phone!!!! SO my problems started 6/6/19 received a text from NAB stating They needed me to update my business details making sure everything was up to date which i did the same day had to give a 100 point check which was done. Then on the 23/7/19 i re...ceived another message reading Hi we have attempted to contact you and been unsuccessful. your accounts have been temporarily blocked please call to resolve this Thanks NAB Rang my local bank spoke to the bank manager, read him the massage. he told me he would look into it!! if i didn't hear from him by Friday the same week all was ok. went to pay bill on the Saturday it was rejected account blocked. Worst customer service over by far!
Have been with them for over 8 years, branch experience was okay. But Worst customer service I received over the phone while I was checking the progress on my credit card application that was submitted online and was overdue for an outcome. Absolutely inconsiderate and very rude way of talking. Although when I rang back to complain it was much better still taking my business somewhere else.

By far, dealing with multiple banks includint ING, commbank, this bank has broken all records of worst service level, actually they dont have any level.
Worst ever experience, my biggest mistake of moving to this bank 1.5 years ago. Everytime I contact them, I wholeheartedly regret my decision, untrained and rude staff.
My loan file is sitting with them for 3 months and no progress. Continuously delaying it to get more time on their hand.
Plea to anyone who ever think of going with, just stop here. Go anywhere but not this way.

Unprofessional, lacking transparency and non-competitive
I have been with NAB for more than 20 years. In seeking a small investment loan worth approximately two per cent of my net worth and readily serviceable, I was directed on two separate occasions to a specific product that does not meet my needs [yet would be the most profitable for NAB]. Upon checking with my accountant, I was provided incorrect information regarding their reasons for persisting with this loan. Throughout the loan process, the attitude of the loans officer was unfriendly, rude and disrespectful of the answers I had provided re...garding my expenses. The implication of this was that I was being dishonest rather than that he didn't understand the circumstances of my lifestyle--a rather modest life in a rural setting with few of the overheads found in the city. It was distressing to be engaged in this manner.

This is the worst bank to deal with when there's a problem. I've requested call backs, finally got in touch with someone and he did what he could at that stage... I got passed onto the fraud team because NABs process for loan applications is clearly shit and they'll put anything on your credit file that's not yours... THE MOST LAZY BUNCH OF TEAM MEMBERS IVE EVER COME ACROSS. ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A RESPONSE... IVE CALLED IN, SENT EMAILS AND NOTHING... THEIR ATTITUDE IS DISGUSTING AND IVE BEEN WAITING OVER 6 WEEKS FOR THEM TO FIX THEIR STUFF UP!!!
An absolute shocking experience
After being their client for about eight years and having several accounts and home loans, this bank turned me and my family’s life into lots of stress and disappointments for about four months due to their lack of security.
Took them nearly four months to investigate and refund my funds.
LOUSY PATHETIC SERVICE
I’ve been with NAB close to 40yrs and only because I’ve been to complacent to change to another bank with equally bad service. Well not any more! Went to 2 different branches at round 3:30 pm to open a business account and was asked did I make an appointment? Then told too busy; 1 customer in entire branch in both instances.( chadstone and ashburton) . As a former employee I would never ever have treated a customer so poorly and arrogantly. Lift your game NAB going to HSBC. My how times have changed -5/5.
Westpac helped me when NAB was adamant there was nothing they could do for me
I had been with Westpac for a couple years when I first got interested in banking with NAB instead. Got a personal loan with NAB as they were having a special introductory rate. But when we got through the application process, right at the end they told us it would be quite a lot higher of a rate. We needed it for a interstate move, and they said we could try again in 6 months once we had a banking history with them to reduce the rate. Fair enough, I thought...
9 months later, I'd been unexpectedly out of work for around 2 months but landed a ...new job which was more stable, better pay, all around a good gig. Once I'd been at the new job for a few paychecks I talked to NAB about the loan which, in retrospect, was actually such a bad interest rate I shouldn't have accepted in the first place. Nonetheless, all I got from NAB was (to paraphrase) "suck it up, try again later". This was a bit of a blow because while my new job was great, that two months out of work had led us to fall behind on things like our kids school payments. With my new job we would be able to make it up but it was going to be a slog. I had also thought NAB was better at understanding and working with people's position - in retrospect, this was obviously false. Talked to Westpac. Got a consolidating personal loan through them easily (done and dusted within 4 business days, from start of application to dispersing funds), to cover my NAB loan, plus a fair bit on top to cover school fees for the foreseeable future, and at slightly below the advertised rate as apparently I'm part of their trial for rewarding customers who have been with them for a bit. So with *more* on the loan, I'm paying *less* per fortnight because the interest rate is so much better than the NAB one, *and* I'm having money put aside each fortnight for future emergencies because I've now paid our school fees upfront and no longer need that coming out from my fortnightly pay (so what was going to school fees per fortnight is now going towards building our emergency fund). This is all possible only because I jumped ship from NAB, who was still adamant there was nothing, at all, that they could do to help. Shortly after all this, I closed all my other NAB accounts - an easy decision at this point. Westpac made the whole process so easy, helped me out of our harder spot, seemed understanding of why I was asking for it... The whole process made me feel taken care of when, only a few paychecks into my new job, I half expected to be told I'd have to wait longer by Westpac too. NAB, meanwhile, at no point in my process of closing all my accounts with them *ever even asked me why I was leaving*. I just can't shake the feeling now that they Just Don't Care about their customers.
As far as a bank go's I'm happy
I find my NAB banking experience overall good. Besides a lack of physical branches in some areas, I have no complaints. Low fees, friendly service and generally provide all the products I would need. Far better than the BCU who I banked with for 27 years before finally realising there were much better options for me available.

Poor experience from teller, his manager and manager's manager - NAB SUCKS :(
I went to NAB East Garden branch on Feb 4-2019 to transfer money, the teller was sarcastic and rude about banking charges.
I said I am sure Commbank for same job charges less and why is it such a charge, he replied "I am a commbank customer too, I know how it works and it is same charge in fact could be higher than us", in a rude tone.
I wrote a feedback form physically about this issue and dropped it in the box at bank and exited the bank.
2. His manager who called me to see if he can fix, he was sarcastic and said since you have put in your...feedback want to see if I can do something. I explined the ordeal and he was sarcastic, since you're considering to close this account due to this experience, i don't see what more I can do... without offering a solution, he closed the call saying I don't think we can do much here "I am sorry, thank you". Anything else I can help you with???? Call over. I closed the bank and provided feedback about the teller and his manager. 3. Finally the Manager's manager called to fix this and say she apolgizes and want to fix it internally but to thishave attached her name and details she messaged she will get back but no response.

majority of NAB ATM don't offer this service , NAB bank don't really own any ATM machines, NAB bank hire them that's why it's difficult to find a original nab ATM they got rid of most of them to save money.its Disappointing and frustrating when I need to find an NAB ATM to withdraw money have to use a different bank costing extra to use.
