Fisher & Paykel Double Dishwasher Install
I have now lost patience with Nationwide Appliance Repairs and their subcontractor John. Install was completed but as I paid before the full job was complete, no one cares on following up on the removal of the old appliance. It is now over a week since the install and still no effort to remove the old appliance (which was included in the $330) after numerous calls and very creative excuses, this is not resolved. So somewhat disappointing as they're exceptionally keen on getting payment for the job ASAP but slow to rectify issues with their subcontractors. Won't be recommending this lot on the basis there is no care once they have their money.

Will never use again
I initially engaged this company to repair my Asko dishwasher. The technician told me the control panel needed to be replaced which would cost 'a few hundred dollars' and the labour would be included in the initial call out fee. I then received a quote for a new control panel for over $500 plus an additional amount to install it. I then decided to order a new dishwasher through them. I stated I needed a fully integrated dishwasher but they told me a semi-integrated one would be suitable. I followed their advice and after the technician installe...d it he told me I needed to get a cabinet maker to cut the top off the cupboard door attached to the front of the machine where the dials were located. Further, the technician moved the kickboard from under the dishwasher to the other side of the kitchen and put a large gouge and scratch in the front of my stainless steel fridge. After considerable haggling (including them stating they would check their recordings of our discussions - they do not tell you they are recording them) - they agreed to replace the dishwasher on the basis I pay the difference in cost of the machine itself. However they then tried to sell me a very expensive machine, but I did my research and insisted a much less expensive machine (Bosch) was suitable. They continued to deny that that were responsible for the scratch/gouge in the fridge and refused to address this. Very very disappointed in this company and would not recommend them to anyone.
WILL NEVER USE THIS REPAIR COMPANY AGAIN
I am very surprised to read favourable reviews concerning Nationwide Appliance Repairs. My experience with them has been particularly poor. My washing machine was seen by their service man and required a replacement drive belt. I have been lied to by their phone consultants on the five or six occasions i have had to telephone them. Finally sorted and part replaced yesterday...FIVE WEEKS later. Even though I asked them to track the item with Aust Post, as I had paid for express post and was told it was definitely on it's way, it had not even bee...n sent by the supplier. It was not sent until three weeks after it was supposedly ordered. It was not ordered by NAR on the day they originally told me it was either. Lies, lies and more lies. I believe the operators will tell you anything to get you off the phone. The usual COVID excuse offered was not accepted as this began before any lockdowns in Victoria. If NAR had been honest from the start, my anger and frustration would have been unnecessary. No apologies from them, by the way. Is this normal business practice for them? Extremely disappointed.
Waste of time and money
The Nationwide technician was not able to fix my Miele washer problem. He did not appear to have the skills or understanding of the washer to carry out the repair. I had to eventually call Miele to look into the same problem, and while the wait for the Miele service was longer, the Miele technician understood the machine, had the right software and fixed the issue in half an hour. He also opened up the washer, explained the probable source of the problem and how to avoid it in future. On the other hand, the Nationwide technician largely did vi...sual inspections and reset the machine. I've learnt from this experience that it's better to wait a bit longer for a Miele technician than to waste time and money for a speedy service with Nationwide.
Worst service ever
Started off great, that they could come out in 2 days, but then the part wasn’t ordered and until I called it wasn’t followed up. Then when replacing the hinges, they shattered the glass on the oven door. Plus there was damage to another panel and the whole oven wasn’t put back together evenly. Gaps of 1ml on one side and 5ml on the other and different at top and bottom. Manager didn’t seem interested in anything, other than just replacing the glass. I had to always call them for every step and wasn’t called back for up to 1 week sometimes wait...ing. The glass took over another 2 weeks for them to organise and replace. Then finally came to install the door and it wasn’t correct as it wasn’t sealing properly on one side. Tech wasn’t interested and said it was fine. I called and spoke to manager again. Took 2 more weeks to get tech back out and he did a no show. No apology and again I was chasing them. Took another 2 weeks for them to send someone out again. I was too worried by this point of them doing more damage I decided not to let the tech do any work on it. Having another company come and review. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone
Terribly Disappointed !
Booked a technician to check our Smeg Oven that was not heating .
The technician initially said he found the fault and brought a part from his Van , then realised that wasn’t the fault ...... Really not impressed ..... Took an hour to find out that the oven door switch was faulty and needed to be ordered ...... Charged $190 for the diagnosis and his time and left .
Now we have been send another quote of $150 + gst which is cost of the part + postage and another $120 + gst labour cost.
When we initially enquired and made the booking we were...
Replace or bin? A $1000 mistake.
I selected Nationwide to fix my Bosch washing machine (first ad on google) mid 2020 in between Melbourne covid lockdown 1 and 2. Fixed on the spot. Great service - 5 stars.
Then my Bosch Dishwasher developed a water leak (F15 error) at the start of lockdown 2. The part was expensive but I had the same technician who was confident it was repairable so I went with it. Part failed to fix the problem so they took it back to their shop. Each time it was returned the error came back. Eventually I sat there and watch it for the full cycle. The ...leak happened 1 hour in and annoyingly it was quite obvious to even the untrained eye. Despite providing video footage of the leak and taping instructions to the machine as to how to reproduce it, It was still repeatedly returned to me generating the error. In the end someone (later discovered it was the MD) actually called asking what dishwashing liquid we used (finish tablets) after which it was returned, again without further explanation. Issue appeared resolved. While all this was happening the Bosch washing machine died again. This time it was an electrical Issue - safety switch kept triggering. I wasn't angry at that point so got a technician to look at the washer. Replacement part required. However by the time the quote arrived I'd had enough. Refused to authorise the washer repair until the dishwasher was sorted. (I'd have gone elsewhere if not for the high call out fees they had already charged). With the dishwasher working they arrived to replace the part, but they ordered the wrong part and had to take my washing machine away to the shop. Finally in November 2020, 6 months later and $1000 in, I had working appliances and was looked forward to putting it all behind me! But no.... late Jan 2021 the dishwasher F15 error returned, far less frequent but far from fixed. And mid March the washing machine died again setting off the safety switch. 9 months and $1000 down I am back where I started with broken appliances. [Edit:] Having spoken with Nationwide since the initial posting of this review I've upped it from 1 star to 3 to 2 to 3 to 2 again. I will acknowledge they have offered to take the appliances in question away again to further investigation. They have acknowledged that the level of communication they provided to me throughout this experience was poor. Given that the initial fix was great. I'll split the difference. would be 2 1/2 stars if it was an option.
Firstly, I wish I had checked the other reviews properly. Experiences behind the other low star reviews were similar to mine, but that's my mistake.
Initially I organised to have an inspection/repair of my fridge. Further, my second mistake after not reading the reviews was accepting the poor line of communication between their technicians and the company.
Upon the technician's arrival, they confidently (falsely-confident might I add) advised of the problem and "fixed" the problem. Not long after the problem was still present. I phoned the c...ompany, they admitted that they had misdiagnosed the fault and I had to wear the additional call out fee. I accepted this, they came out, and still could not fix the problem. They offered to come out a third time, to which I cut my losses and decided to purchase a new appliance instead. I'd like to also note that I had to clean up the mess after the technician left, but I suppose this is a minor problem compared to my overall experience. I am very disappointed in my experience with this company and I strongly recommend you read the other reviews before making a decision. I absolutely do not recommend.
Terrible service do not use them
had 3 visits. Each time says its fixed, but not repaired. 3rd issue Servcie said couldn’t book in as the booking system down. Dont use them. Still waiting for fix.
Inflated parts prices - unresponsive.
I called NWAR to carry out some repairs to my refrigerator. The technician was able to come the same day, and was friendly and efficient (5 stars for the tech, who was a local sub-contractor). However once I received the quote for the additional parts from NWAR, it was clear that the parts prices were massively inflated. The genuine part was $100 from F&P, the aftermarket price from the various spares suppliers was $130 and NWAR's price was $204. I responded to the quote email from NWAR twice to raise this concern, to which they did not reply. Not recommended.
Not worth repairing a Dishwasher- just replace and never engage with this company to repair
I'm located in Syd. I called the National Call centre number middle of June to resolve my ASKO dishwasher that is about 4 years old. Its now approaching end of August and they have my dishwasher, still no clear update what's the damage. And I got sent another invoice of about $300, for additional repair of some sort. I had already forked out over $500 (Includes order for new motor, labour, postage, initial call out fee) for a replacement of a wash motor, which did not resolve the problem. Let's say, the actual 'Service' people are not calli...ng me back but all I get is automated email from head-office asking for more money? I have called several times only to be told, " I promise, someone in Parts will call you back immediately." After more than 10 calls of this and no call backs, who in their right mind would want to donate more money to this organisation. And , as you can see their rude, threatening like email in RED text,, says I have 14days to call back for invoice.. when I call and they don't get the Parts people to talk to me. I'm beyond mad, having three young kids, and working from home, without a dishwasher. Never repair a dishwasher and avoid servicing with this organisation, its a hit and miss probably of who attends your service.
Overcharges for spare parts
I had a technician diagnose a problem with my Miele dishwasher and it needed a new part. The company said it would contact me via phone but they didn't and I forgot about it. The company did email me with a quote for the new part: $215+GST, Freight $25 + GST and Labor $120 + GST. Also that it would take 5-10 working days to get it delivered.
I got the part directly from Miele for $137.40 (including GST and Freight) in less than 30 hours (MEL to ADL). Saved about $100. Now it might cost me a little more than their Labor quote to have it installe...
Be Aware This Company Overcharges
Called this Company to repair a fault with my front load washing machine. Tech arrived on time and was very courteous. Charged $154 but then advised that he did not even have a basic spare with him even though the Company says they are a Bosch approved repairer. Was advised that they needed to come back later and charge at least another $140 in labour for what was a 45min job at best. Further, tried to charge $310 (including $30 for postage) for parts which Bosch advised would cost me $80 delivered to my door. Be aware these guys will make you part with your money very fast if you let them, stung me for $154 but never again...I will go local now and find people i can trust!
I have been in dispute with this company for more than 2 weeks with them now refusing to refund my money for parts which they have not provided to me. If you ring them, most of the sales team do not listen to you they just yell louder and try to sell you something you didn't ask for. The ones that do listen tell you they will talk to head office and then never get back to you.
Not nationwide if you live in Perth!
Failed to undertake a complete diagnostic check in the initial visit which meant after 2 visits they had replaced the PCB board on my Vintec wine fridge ($514) but completely failed to even realise there was also a gas leak, the unit needed re-gassing.
Turns out they dont currently have a technician in Perth who can undertake the re-gassing process. After pushing them repeatedly for an appointment and quotation I received a quote for $1,360 (plus GST) to complete the subsequent works. Naturally I declined!
I have purchased a new fridge and ...had it delivered today with an extended warranty. Wish I had never called Nationwide in the first place as they simply do not have the technical support to service the Perth market and as a result I received bad advice and went on to spend money replacing the PCB board when if all the problems had been identified initially I would have made the call the replace the fridge and not invest any money at all on repairs. Very disappointing service.
