Save the hassle, just go buy a new oven instead.
I called up because the cooling fan on my oven is on its way out and has started rattling loudly - which I told the staff member over the phone. Anyway, the tradesperson rocks up and says he's going to order a replacement heating fan? I told him he's wrong, it's the cooling fan. So he pulls the oven out, has a look, and yes it is the cooling fan. Ok great, so far it is $150 call out to misdiagnose the problem. Then they quote another $370 for parts and labour to come back and replace the fan. Interestingly the fan sale price online is about hal...
Read moref the price that I was quoted for the part. Doing some of my own research, I called up a few suppliers, turns out not only is there's no stock left anywhere, but Blanco no longer even make the parts so there's no chance of getting one anywhere. I'm not sure what I was quoted for, there's no part number, but why risk it when that's already up to over $500, I could buy a brand new oven from the good guys for that. In summary: misdiagnosis of problem, expensive, questionable replacement parts. Just go buy a new oven and enjoy life.- 2 reviews

not happy, but they did what they said they would do to the "T".
The moral of my story is that all consumers should ring the manufacturer of their appliance even if it is out if warranty because the chances are, the manufacturer will repair it for free if you have the original invoice, you havent damaged it on purpose or been neglectful, even if it is out of manufacturers warranty. It's Australian Consumer Law.
We mistakenly rang Nationwide Appliance Repairs believing they were a Authorised Samsung Approved Repairer but they weren't, they didn't have to tell us that our Samsung front load washing machine wa...
Read mores repairable under statutory warranty even though it was out of the original 2 year manufacturers warranty. Nationwide quoted around $500 plus the $150 call out fee. I wrongly assumed they would chase it up with Samsung. My fault! I wised up and called Samsung Australia direct and they organised their authorised repairer to do the repairs at no cost. It was nearly 3 years out of warranty. At the end of the day, Nationwide did exactly what they said they would do. We can't fault them for that.Hi Tanner & Kate,
Thank you for raising your point of view as above and we respect you as our customer and appreciate your feedback....

Replace or bin? A $1000 mistake.
I selected Nationwide to fix my Bosch washing machine (first ad on google) mid 2020 in between Melbourne covid lockdown 1 and 2. Fixed on the spot. Great service - 5 stars.
Then my Bosch Dishwasher developed a water leak (F15 error) at the start of lockdown 2. The part was expensive but I had the same technician who was confident it was repairable so I went with it. Part failed to fix the problem so they took it back to their shop. Each time it was returned the error came back. Eventually I sat there and watch it for the full cycle. The ...
Read moreleak happened 1 hour in and annoyingly it was quite obvious to even the untrained eye. Despite providing video footage of the leak and taping instructions to the machine as to how to reproduce it, It was still repeatedly returned to me generating the error. In the end someone (later discovered it was the MD) actually called asking what dishwashing liquid we used (finish tablets) after which it was returned, again without further explanation. Issue appeared resolved. While all this was happening the Bosch washing machine died again. This time it was an electrical Issue - safety switch kept triggering. I wasn't angry at that point so got a technician to look at the washer. Replacement part required. However by the time the quote arrived I'd had enough. Refused to authorise the washer repair until the dishwasher was sorted. (I'd have gone elsewhere if not for the high call out fees they had already charged). With the dishwasher working they arrived to replace the part, but they ordered the wrong part and had to take my washing machine away to the shop. Finally in November 2020, 6 months later and $1000 in, I had working appliances and was looked forward to putting it all behind me! But no.... late Jan 2021 the dishwasher F15 error returned, far less frequent but far from fixed. And mid March the washing machine died again setting off the safety switch. 9 months and $1000 down I am back where I started with broken appliances. [Edit:] Having spoken with Nationwide since the initial posting of this review I've upped it from 1 star to 3 to 2 to 3 to 2 again. I will acknowledge they have offered to take the appliances in question away again to further investigation. They have acknowledged that the level of communication they provided to me throughout this experience was poor. Given that the initial fix was great. I'll split the difference. would be 2 1/2 stars if it was an option.Hi Mr T,
We provide 3 months labour warranty on all our work we provide and 12 months warranty on any parts we replace....

Don't use if in a hurry. $300 later and appliance still not working.
The company's customer service is bad. The technician was lovely, though clearly stressed. Tech arrives late, diagnoses issue and advises company will send a repair quote. After numerous follow up calls, and days later, I get the quote. Here is a direct cut and paste from their email: 1. DRAIN PUMP - $186+ GST / 2. LABOUR $80 +GST / 3. FREIGHT $25+GST / 4. ETA - APPROXIMATELY 3-7 DAYS. When I called Miele the drain pump costs $98 and free delivery within a couple of days. How is this possible? Nationwide were not pleasant when I rang t...
Read moreo inform them of this. Said the $186 was their supplier price. Very suspicious. Anyway the drain pump was easily replaced with the new one we bought direct from Miele, only the dishwasher is still faulty. I really doubt the drain pump was at fault.Hi Col,

Get someone else to do your repairs
I called this company last week and booked a technical inspection of our LG dishwasher, booked for Saturday. Technician arrived and inspected the machine base seal leaking suggested taking dishwasher to workshop for repair being told I would receive a quote on Monday. Monday no quote, rang Tuesday morning yes I would get a quote by close of day. Wednesday still no quote rang to be told technician just looking at dishwasher requested that dishwasher be returned to our address and we would get someone else to repair. The staff were pleasant but obviously they DO NOT value their customers give this company a miss

Firstly you have to pay up front even for the labour!!!
They replaced a part costing $750 & when the tech left it still didn't work. Tech returned to say another part was required but now can't get hold of anyone to answer my questions & resolve the issue. Terrible customer service - don't bother !!

Cost Of Repairs
I am still laughing at the quote to repair my ARC dishwasher on Top of the $154 I spent to get them out to just look at the dishwasher they had the cheek to quote me $495 to purchase and install two parts to complete the repairs. Sound OK - Well the dishwasher is available on line new for $399 so they expected me to pay a total of $649 to repair a $399 dishwasher. You Must Be Joking!!!!

Not good service
Wanted a new part in my oven and my husband told them exactly what part it was but the technician (maybe!) didn't even have it when he came out. Consequently we had to pay again to get him out and fix it and really don't think he had a clue what he was doing. An expensive exercise - never again.

Washing machine repairs
Advised the repairman knew about Blanco appliances. Clearly didn't. Pushed the same buttons on the front I did. - pulled it out / stuffed around for a long time. Had no idea what the issue was. Of course full attendance payment wanted. Now I have to take mire time off and get a proper tecnition to do it. My error using second rate repair company.
Since I wrote the original review. The Manager of the firm contacted me - after I had sent him several messages - reviewed the situation and repaid the fee. He was apologetic for the incident and although the standard of repairs by the service man was bad, the reach out by the company was excellent.

Hi [Name Removed],
Thank you for your review....
Read more I called you personally to sort the issue out. Yes their was a mistake done by my staff but I have already spoken to my staff and this issue has been rectified, they have advised me they understand the error which was made and more importantly as I promised you I have taken action to rectify the issue with my staff. I understand their was a miscommunication in our office, hence why we called you to provide a free service call as compensation for our mistake done but you refused. Our customer satisfaction is our number one priority and it was a shame you didn't give us a chance to prove this to you. I agree our technician did the wrong diagnosis but this is not our common business practice, as you can understand at the end of the day we all are human beings and we all do mistakes and that's why I am happy to do a full refund. We need your support so we can improve our staff, technician and overall services. If our intention was just to earn money then we would not have bothered to offer you a refund and retain you back as our valued customer. Our service comes with 3 months warranty and parts come with 12 months warranty so we do not leave our customers behind and will keep helping you for a longer period of time. Please understand and reply if you want me to help you in any other way. Thank you Nationwide Appliance Repairs 1300 652 100
