Bad reaction & taste.
I had high hopes for this stevia (I bought a "pure" stevia product: Bulk Organic Rebaudioside A 40%). Unfortunately it gave me stomach pains and bloating after two separate weekends of testing it, something that I've not gotten from the usual stevia products I buy (mainly from Now Foods offshore or Nivana onshore, etc) but do experience from stevia products with additives. Very odd. I asked for a refund but was refused. Didn't taste as nice as the other brands I've used either - cheap in bulk but not recommended.
Great Product and Value for Money
Having never tried Stevia before and recently diagnosed with diabetes I began my search online to firstly find information about its benefits and then to purchase some.
My searching led me to www.naturallysweet.com.au where I found stevia sachets and powder and liquid. Where to begin? I figured to test the waters I would try the sachets in my coffee instead of the usual and obviously harmful sugar I have been using for years. I was really skeptical but I pushed the purchase button and received my order 2 days later. The first time I tried ...
Questions & Answers
In my experience (and reading) the Sugar substitutes may cause headaches. I haven't offered my review of a couple of different brands of Stevia based Sugar substitute yet. I have tested three brands and one of them seems to trigger headaches for me. Yes, I finally suspected the brand of Stevia I was using and changed to a different brand and the headaches were gone. I still had the half full container of that Stevia based sweetener (the brand I suspected gave me a headache) in the back of the cupboard. Well my mother decided that all this headache stuff is in my head (ha) and mixed the old Stevia with the new. I have been putting up with dull headaches for a few weeks now and can't remember how many aspro I have popped in recent weeks. I just discovered what she had done.
I am annoyed by that, but also relieved that I can go back and get the Stevia brand of sweetener that doesn't give me a headache.
Has anyone else been getting headaches?
