Helps my joints and my gut and other things I didn't know needed help, just feel better for it.
Best stuff on the market, been buying it for 2 years. Doesn't taste like grass cuttings like every other green powder I've tried and thrown away. Have it everyday with milk or in a smoothie. It's a bit like a less sweet and healthy strawberry quik. Can't live without it or I notice the difference almost immediately (within 2 to 2.5 days). Don't change it. Or stop making it. Or I will beat you with a baseball bat. It's the only way I can get all my greens in. Helps my gut, helps my joints. If I'm super busy, it makes a great breakfast through to lunchtime and I don't eat junk food instead. I buy it in coles on special or from chemistway when its on special. Full price is a bit much.
Great way to get all your nutrients in this busy world.
I add this powder to unsweetened coconut milk with chocolate collagen powder in a big shaker, tastes great. To cut down on the sweetness of the Stevia, I only use half the recommended dose and take it twice a day. I do not eat very well due to illness and I find Super Greens Powder supplies me with all I am missing out on from my irregular diet. My hair, nails and skin look better than they have in a long time and I feel well within myself.
I like taking this product to get in some greens as I don't eat enough & I do feel better overall when I am taking it.
The only thing wrong is I struggle to drink it as it is sickly sweet! I've found the best way for me to get it down is hold my nose & skull it.
Not sure about this product
I bought it at Woolies and tried it - very sweet..that's the first worry. I was looking for Spirulina and this has spirulina in it. I swim a lot and after swimming this morning after adding it to breakfast fruits before swimming and before reading anything I came home with a mild left kidney pain. I find it overly diuretic. I am concerned and want to know if the necessary research has been done on this Stevia sweetener additive.
- Mild side effects
This is so sickly sweet it’s too much to stomach
I really wanted to find a great all round super green like this as it has so much awesome stuff in it, but the overwhelming flavour of stevia makes it impossible for me to enjoy, I’ve tried it in a smoothie and also just a glass of water, cannot abide the sickly sweet after taste...
Big shame as it could be a great without it.
Im not a big leafy green veg eater so i was missing out on so many much needed nutrients until I found this product... I love it.. I love the taste... I like that it tastes sweet and not like “greens” if I liked the taste of greens I would just eat them.... I have tried another brand but couldn’t Drink it.. I take natures way super greens just in water and have no problem getting it down....I’m now getting my daily dose of healthy greens....
Too sweet for me but hubby likes it!
I agree with many reviews. I find this product very sweet and synthetic. I love my green smoothies and when I add this it makes them revolting! Such a shame that a NON sweetener one doesn't exist :( ...My husband really likes this though and has it in his berry and banana smoothies.
Feeling Flat? Super Greens are the answer!
Due to a digestive complaint I was feeling flat and seriously lacking energy. Then I tried Nature's Way Super Greens and the change is remarkable. I feel a new man.
December 8th 2018 Update: The Safe and Healthy alternative to solids
I have a chronic digestive condition that prevents my eating solid greens. Then I discovered Nature's Way Super Greens, hence the answer to my problem. This product gives me no adverse reaction and I like the taste. It blends well with various liquids and it has helped me to go a long way in retaining a health eating pattern.
Good when you are busy
This product makes me feel good when I add it to smoothies on busy days. My only concern is it is a little sweet and I think they should have more faith in the customers wanting a 'green' taste rather than the sweet version. I mix :
200ml Almond milk
1 tbspoon almond butter
2 tspoons of greens
1 heaped spoonful of hemp protein powder
1 heaped spoonful of cacao
1 frozen banana
1 heaped spoonful of your fave protein
Perfect protein Shake !
Perfect shake to start the day add as follows
3 large ice cubes
200 ml of water
1 whole diced banana
2 teaspoons of super greens (i have 4)
2 scoops of protein (30g of protein equivalent)
1 teaspoon of natural peanutbutter
1 teaspoon of natural honey
Blend together till mixed thoroughly ...
Great addition to a fresh vegetable juice!
I bought this product as "vital greens" was so expensive, I have to say I'm pretty happy with it. The flavour is "tropical" so I'd suggest doing what I did ~ adding a heaped teaspoon to a fresh vegetable juice (carrot, celery, ginger and apple) and it was great!
I noticed another reviewer mentioned that juices are acidic- only bought ones are- so non cold pressed.
Even if you juice a bag of lemons it's not acidic, once ingested it is considered alkaline. (However acidic on a pH measure)
Super Green Convenience.
Tastes great in protein shake. Perfect way to get daily allowance of super greens with essential vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, probiotics, nutrient herbs and protein. So easy and convenient. AND No Artificial Flavours. No Artificial Colours. No Preservatives. PLUS it tastes so much better than spirulina, or chlorella, or wheat grass alone.
... is revolting, it's like drinking a cup of stevia.
Tried mixing it with unsweetened plain yoghurt, I got gritty green sickly tasting yoghurt. It says try with non-acidic fruit juice, but pretty much all fruit juices are acidic.
Glad I only bought the smallest size, since I suspect it'll go in the bin.
Questions & Answers
I have just tried this product and I find the use of the Stevia sweetener more than troubling. I even felt a kidney pain after swimming before I had read anything on it - and now I read there is a worry Stevia might damage the kidneys - I never get this with Spirulina tablets. I wonder if Nature's Way has anything to say about this?
I think you are being paranoid, stevia is perfectly fine. I son eats it out if the packets and says nothing about kidney pain. Some things can be coincidental too and bad timing. Of perhaps you are reacting to some other engredient due to personal issues not the product. Try another product with stevia and see if you have the same reaction without just making judgements from one dose.
