Frustration

Netregistry charged me twice for my domain name. I gave the transaction dates and requested a refund in March. This was finally paid on12 May after many frustrating phone calls. I can't believe how difficult it was to reclaim a trivial amount of money.

Worked Great At The Start

Unfortunately I have to change this review to 1 star from 5. Everything worked great at the start but 2 of my domains failed to transfer for many reasons and now I cant send, receive emails or even log into Cpanel anymore. I can log into Netregistry but as soon as I click on Cpanel NOTHING. I rely on email for work and account security and now me and all my users are cut off. I've been on the phone all weekend and I'm getting no where because as soon as one problem is fixed another appears. This has had a major knock on effect to other parts of my connected world.

absolute rubbish

Our website Websites is again for the second time being Hacked The companies failure to secure our payment system has for the second time this year failed!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet we are being asked to pay up every year without getting the security or the results we are paying for. I wouldn't recommend your service to anyone, until you proof to me that your company is worthy of our money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't use them if you value customer service

I'm now in the process of looking into moving all my services and domains to another provider as it seems like every process Netregistry has is designed to keep as much of a customers money as possible and make it as difficult as possible to cancel or move services. They really need to take a good hard look at your "customer service" as I truly believe you don't really have any.

Product is good

I have found that the online help has been hit and miss. I had a bad experience with one helpdesk person who pretty much said "not an email issue sort it out yourself" an then ended chat when he said he couldn't help. I then just started a new chat the this person was actually amazing. It turned out that it was a back end problem which he fixed and got me going.  Show reply

Terrible customer service and damaging activity

Reprehensible activity in shutting down company domain without warning, even though request for information was provided in timely manner. Then the 'Senior Admin Team' neither take or make calls so they are un contactable.

Do not trust this company

I have moved to a different provider for over a year and they still try to get the money for a service that I haven't used. I contacted the department of fair trading and lodged a complain. I don't recommend this company- old school customer service, outdated business policies. The website was down most of the time as well.

Customer service has really improved

My two recent engagements with Netregistry have been very, very good experiences. It is not the cheapest service provider, but if you want to know that non-technical users will be in good hands, I would recommend Netregistry.  Show reply

You get the run around and spoken to poorly

Fed up with getting the run around, inquiries are escalated a ticket number given then nothing. This went on for over two weeks! The level of communication is low and they really just don't want to help anyone.
Here's a line from my chat "You will been notify if you can start to create an email account"

Well Done Customer Service

Perceived ambiguity was resolved by an empathetic representative. The Domain details updates are a bit less than intuitive. My task was administrative in nature but impossible for me to achieve without help.

Really good service

Whenever I've had website or email issues Netregistry has always fixed them promptly via the online chat. I am not that tech savvy so there are many times I've needed help over the 6 or so years I have been with them. They are also always very polite. Show reply

Thank god they have been understanding

Language is sometimes an issue but communication via email and chat is working well and over the phone at times their formatted answered are off putting but the end result is ok. Problem not entirely resolved but the wording is getting better. Show reply

Above and beyond

I have been in touch with Netregistry twice in the past two day to sort out some DNS and email issues I was having and each time I got exactly the outcome I needed. The support staff provided links to information so that I could make the changes that I needed to, and when I was unsure or not super confident to do it myself, they stepped in and made the necessary changes for me. let me be clear here: you stole my money and i still don't have it back after numerous hours of emails and system reporting, i am out of pocket. you didn't say oops sorry here's your money back while we investigate the error in our systems. you said wait....we will investigate and maybe we'll give you your money back. and then you have the cheek to ask Is there something we could have done differently to improve this experience? work it out for yourselves

My Website is Lost in SPACE

I have contracted Netregistry to host my existing website from India, Netregistry received my website file, they transferred it to TPP as a partner of Netregistry, TPP & Netregistry they have split-up partnership, than TPP as a wholesaler they transferred my file to another Hosting company called "ROMAFILA Pty.Ltd in Melbourne, I have called that company and I have spoken to the Managing Director/Owner, Himself he has no idea about my website or why is it transferred to him. My Website does not existing anymore after it was hosted with a company in India. I regret it that I took the decision to bring to Netregistry and I have paid my FEES for 4 Years in advance to host my Website.

Woeful service and useless support

I've had endless issues with the email service on my Netregistry hosting account. Intermittent SMTP errors, meaning I can't send emails from my phone or laptop, as well as bounces to certain global email services that should never happen. When I call the support line its immediately obvious these people are clueless and just wasting time asking customers to do trivial tests that have no bearing on the issue at hand. I've worked in IT for 15 years and know what I'm talking about and know when I'm getting mucked around. Its also almost impossible to get issues escalated - you have to hammer away until they finally move it up the support ladder.

Give this company a miss and find a hosting provider that provides real support.

If I could give a score of zero I would

I could have been working on my business launch, but instead I have been on the phone and online chat to netregistry tech support for two weeks now trying to access my emails. When I called to cancel the service and ask for a refund I was told they can't refund the money because I pay monthly and they left me on hold for a good amount of time yet again (I'm sure out of spite). Non-Australian call centre's are an absolute nightmare, I will check location of call centre before signing up to another email host.

Dishonest service

Netregistry auto-renewed and charged me for two years domain access. However, failure to reply to an auto renewal email does not constitute permission to charge whatever fee netregistry decides is appropriate, as I did not agree to these terms. When I asked for a refund, the customer service representative told me that they couldn’t issue a refund because domains are issued through a third party entity. I will request my bank to challenge this unapproved transaction.
