Poison for your pet
At the advice of our local pet supplies we were told to try Nexgard Spectra. Not only did Nexgard Spectra induce vomiting and diarrhoea but a visit to the vet too. We are back to using Advocate which actually works. In my opinion Nexgard Spectra should be removed from shelves

Great product does exactly what it states
We have acreage in south-east Queensland and every summer we dreaded even letting our dogs in the gardens, the fleas are unreal!
We tried pipettes and had to spray insecticide on our lawns and it was still bad, embarrassing to have guests.
We have a reasonably large house with most the floors hard wood and tiles, at the peak of summer we could see the fleas literally jumping off our dogs and any rooms with carpets, rugs, matt's, sofas would become infested. We had to spray all our rooms monthly, which took ages and cost a lot in insecticide. Ou...

Does everything that is describes
I've used different treatments before but found this was the only thing that really works. My pup loves it to the point she eats it right out my hand without having to mix it with other food. After seeing the previous reviews its definitely concerning but I've never had any bad experiences with this brand for seven months straight. When I was searching for a new product for my one I was actually recommended by vets, pet store employees and people that use it for their pets too that they love it. Will definitely be doing bit more research before our next round.

Do not buy, gives dogs bad skin
What a joke of a product, should be band, this product gave my dog bad skin and rashes . We thought it was a food allergy but the food we gave did not change. We also did a allergy test which didn’t lead to anything that was obvious to exclude. Even went down the omega supplement root and tried many other things to find out what had happen to my dog when he had perfectly fine great skin and suddenly it went really bad to the point he was finding it hard to sleep. Then I met some lovely lady at the dog park who had a similar issue with her dog ...and suggested I change my flea and worm treatment as she use to use this product and had a similar issue . I have since stopped using the product and it’s been 3 month. Gradually the skin got better and he is still getting better weekly . Nothing has changed only the fact that we stopped giving him this joke if a product . Almost feels like they do it in purpose to support a false allergy industry for dogs which is a growing problem ! Do not give this dangerous product to your dog . It’s not worth the risk .

Terrible product. My dog , a healthy 15 months old Labrador, had a bad reaction
He had extreme diarrhoea where we passed stool all night. In the morning he looked sick, was whimpering and wasn’t eating anything. This was not the first time it happened but definitely the worst reaction he’s had. We are not using this product anymore as it doesn’t seem like a safe option

Dog got heartworm
Dog had been taking this for 2 years and has just tested positive for heartworm and has had it for a long time.
So i have been paying this for many years and now have to pay $4,000 as my dog has heartworm.
Never missed a chewy.
Would not recommend.
If I could rate it ZERO I would
Have first dose to our 2 year old on NYE. The vet changed his treatment from Simparica and this was the very first time he had taken it. Within 3 hours he was very distressed, biting his skin, itching and unable to sit or relax anywhere in the house. Very weird behaviour jumping up and looking at the floor to see if something was there that had obviously hurt him. Called the vet who told me it must be an allergic reaction to something, anything new? Only thing was the tablet. They gave him steroids intravenously and an emergency number. He got...worse, so many weird things, could not settle, jumping around as if being stung or bitten, started to bite himself that he had lesions on his skin. Took him to emergency vet who agreed it must be this product and he got antihistamine injection and tablets to take home fir next few days. Spent a terrible night with him, I thought he had some sort of brain disorder with the behaviour. Slowly he started settling down over next day and today we got more antihistamine from the vet as still not 100%. I cannot say for sure if it was this product but it’s the only thing he had different. He is 42 kilos and has never suffered from any allergies before. Thankfully he seems better but I will not be giving that to him again. My mum has a small spaniel, same vet do he has this same tablet and he was fine!

No fleas or ticks in a tasty chew!
Peace of mind is what I have since starting my dogs on this product when it first became available. That's been a total of 8 dogs in my care over that time.
My darling 2 year old boy is 4th generation Nexgard Spectra user. His mum, grandmother and great-grandmother were all on it prior to having their litters. Never had a single issue with it. All puppies are always healthy too.
Most importantly we've had no ticks or tick related deaths. When you live in a paralysis tick area, herd sheep and had a dog allergic to fleas you need something that...works and this works. Terrific product and will continue to use. May not be for everyone, please do make sure you read the warnings and understand the health and risk factors of your dogs and their breeds prior.

Killed my 10-month-old GSP.
This product killed my 10-month-old GSP 6 hours after I gave it to her, which their customer service line advise is the time of maximum absorption. I didn't know it at the time, but many dogs get seizures from this product. Google it, it's horrible. Lesson learned: there is no point dumping a whole lot of high powered chemicals into your dog at once - do your research carefully on what the key parasite is and give a product specific to that, if it's really needed. A few worms or flea will not kill your dog - Nextguard Spectra killed mine. I am not staying it will kill your dog, but enough dogs get problems from it for me to never use it again.
Has been working for us.
First treatment for my 2yr old AmStaff was at 3mths. She’ll eat them straight out of the packet so ok there. I find it’s best to give them with food as it does upset her bowels but only for the day. She’s also a little more placid for the day. I find no fleas, no sign of worms and the odd tick she can pick up has been dead by the time I find it and she gets daily inspections. I am concerned about all the chemicals I put into the little body so during the cooler months, I treat her every 2nd month. I’ll keep using it this way.

My pup loves these so much so that she eats these tablets straight out of my hands. No need to deceive her with hiding them in other products. No issues at all.
