I have a 2004 model and it the best car i have ever had. It's not given enough recognition, can take a v6 Commodore at the light no worries. You put your foot down and you go, no waiting around.
Very sexy looking, great accelleration, love the electronic seat moving.
The foot hand break. Not me but if you were used to driving manuals you may forget and just throe on the hand brake.

I would not hesitate to buy another Nissan Maxima. The Maxima I drive is a white 04 Ti with black interior, dark tinting with all wood grain trim and rear spoiler. Friends always comment on the interior luxury and if required I use the power of the V6. With only 64,700km on the clock the car drives new and looks like a town limo.
Great ride, good power, nice looks and 17" rims. I enjoy the fuel economy for a 3.5lt engine and the leather seats.
The car sits a little high on the road, sportier suspension would do the job. I have a timing rattle from the engine when taking off slowly. I only use premium fuel (High Octane) thinking it could be the fuel. Still working on the problem.

Really is a good thing and I would buy one again and can give it high praise for what it does and the money it cost to get into it. As mentioned th sports pack option would have been great but is very hard to fault it.
This is just a lovely car. Smooth engine, economical, loads of power and all the gadgets you could want. Well most of them, needs volume control for CD on steering wheel.
As above plus, mine is one of the early ones with the brown dash which isn't perfect. Would have loved if it had a sports suspension option.

Love it. I had the old A32 model and traded up the the new J31, feels the same just newer and even slicker to drive. Handles nicely at sensible speeds. No systemic faults that I can find.
Big power, and I thought the old 3.0L engine was enough. Very smooth transmission. Good country fuel economy for it's size. Easy to service.
The foot operated 'hand brake'. Easy to forget it's on, otherwise it's OK.
