Norton 360 2021
Won't recommend norton anymore.i was using norton from the past 15years. This year i was unable to do renewal easily. You need a credit card and you have to share the details with norton to activate your product. You will be on auto renewal and it is a hard process to deactivate the auto renewal. So no more norton.
Purchased in March 2021 at eBay for $20.00.
I got Norton license for 5 devices. On my laptops( both windows 10) the Norton UI crashes and I have never been able to use it. The only solution Norton advices, is to reinstall the app. Done that 10 times. Still cannot open the application on Windows.
On my mobile it always forgets my credentials and most of the times it cannot login due to server error. VPN speed is super slow and reminds me of dial up internet speed. 100% disappointed. Do not get it even if it was free.

Norton Security now requires agreement for perpetual subsciption. Beware
After 15 years, Norton Security telephone contact for combatting installation problems a long wait (even at 7am). You can no longer simply purchase a product key and renew annually - now they want your credit card details for perpetual renewal. Ensure you swith off annual subscription renewal after installation (easy to do).

I have used norton anti virus for 3 years my computer started going really slow and now I think about it it always was quite slow.
Had some technical guys check my computer they started laughing and said the Norton's terrible, doesn't guard malware at all and clogs up heaps of space for your CPU processor.
Since then had my whole computer re programmed and run a different anti virus brand and its perfect. Annoying poor for a so called leader in there field.
Norton keep sending me emails. I told them never again.
Why does Norton keep sending me emails. I used them once and wished I had never used them. I bought a new laptop just recently and declined the Norton offer from the seller. After that I kept getting their unwanted emails along with a lot of other rubbish saying I need Norton to protect me from spam emails. Does Norton send these spam emails I wonder?
Shady business practices
I couldn't recommend Norton less - starting with their business practice of automatically setting you up for "automatic renewal" and then charging you through the roof with only an email to notify you of this massive price hike - an email that looks just like all their other pest emails about nothing, one has to wonder if that's the purpose of a lot of their emails, so they can hide the one with the massive bill amongst them.
The account page also displays very clearly WHEN you will be charged but no where on this page does it say how much. An...d if you contact support to find out where you can find this information under your account, they will simply brush over the fact that you actually can't and will try to get away with simply telling you the price. When you ask "but where can I find it in my account?" you'll get a snide remark saying "did you not get our email?" If you say again, "I want to know where can find it under my account?" They will reply with, "Do you have a problem with the price?" So quite simply, they're more than capable of telling you when they'll take your money, but including the amount is way too much information to put next to it. Where would they fit in on the page??? According to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, "Prices displayed by a business must be clear, accurate and not misleading to consumers. You should always display the total price of a product or service." Not sure if Norton knows about this. Incredibly shady business. Who knows what else they are up to. Do yourself and the morality of our world a favour and take your business elsewhere.
Norton Auto renewal rip-off
I had Norton virus checker which I did not want to keep. They have since auto renewed my virus check - at twice the price of the original purchase by upgrading me to a premium service. I am so angry with them and they still have not acted on the case that I raised through their support teams. They are a rip off merchant, employing sneaky sub standard dubious practices. I couldn’t recommend them less.

I have been billed for almost $200aud and have no idea why. It’s an absolute nightmare trying to speak / chat to Norton staff.
My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing a Norton product is simple. Don’t do it.
I purchased Norton internet Security (3 device pre paid subscription) outright, as I have done for past several years, from local computer store. Today, when I entered product code, I was asked to provide my credit card details, despite already having paid for the product in full. I was then unable to activate the product, despite having paid for it in full, unless I provided full personal credit card information. I contacted Norton directly, however they refused to supply their service, unless I gave access to my credit/debit card. I refused, ...and was then denied the service that I had already purchased. Definitely advise that people steer clear of Norton product from now on. I have lost money from this purchase, but based on other similar negative product reviews (just read), I will cut my losses, and not lose further funds to this so called service provider. No bankcard details will be provided from me, and I hope that others do not provide personal details either. I am changing internet security provider as of immediately.

I would like to give them Zero star if I could.
After using antivirus softwares for decades, it is the first time I have found out I couldn't possibly use Norton's Software at all after purchased one year subscription from JB HIFI.
How unreasonable they MUST get people's Credit Card details before they allow people to activate their purchases.
I have used many Antivirus Software brands, including McAfee, Trend, Kaspersky and Norton as well, during past decades and I have never encountered an Issue like this. Worst of All, after waiting 35 mi...

longtime customer disrespected
Every time I renew Norton, I have to cancel autorenew, as they automatically switch this on "for your convenience". This year they switched me back on without telling me and then charged my Paypal account $112 without even a warning!! It is difficult to find their customer service number to complain. I eventually had success and got my refund. So now I am looking for another service and have found some good options online. No more Norton for me.
My best description of Norton would be serial pest.
Email marketing is relentless nearing end of contract. Need a security system to block Norton!

The most appalling experience over last few years.
I have been a Norton customer for many many years (decades). The last few years what used to be a good product has been destroyed by greedy manipulative marketing and online practices.
- Product price is rising exponentially ($94 last year, $168 this year.)
- Product is very flakey. Included VPN turns itself off every few hours. Password manager often requires double signin to account and vault on every usage, even though you are already signed in.
- Support is now non existent. Website leads you round and round in circles. If you do manage to...

Terrible after sales service
Norton support staff is anything but support, had more excuse on how the couldn't help me with my problem, would not renew with Norton again. I also do not recommend this company. Offers no protection at all better off taking your chances without it.

No customer service
Auto subscribe was not selected just preset and no reminder just auto deducted payment . Trying to get refunded and their cut page cuts me off after about 20 mins every single time . Their wait times are over and hour and the product was like 140 bucks. So annoyed
No Auto renewal cancellation
auto renewal was done and I tried to refund it as I stopped using the product. no success yet. can't reach them via phone, and chat option keep taking me to the same page again and again.

No refund outside US / Canada. Service is Awful.
Harvey Norman Caringbah insisted i required this product with my childs school laptop but it was a load of garbadge and now stuck with a $548 product that you cant get refunded online because their refund form for regions outside of US and Canada does not work. I would steer clear of Harvey Norman and any Norton product purchases. Norton service is inadequate and you need the patience of a saint when waiting. All service representatives are Indian. They tell you not to worry and refund will be processed but if there is no form and noone can give give you the right links and advice its a pretty hopeless case.

Horrible customer service
After updating my computer Norton stopped working. I was bounced around for 3 hours on hold before they put me onto someone who could help me. They fixed the problem but were so so rude and impatient. I was disgusted at their attitude and they really did not care at all. Switching provider now and not looking back

Rude Lazy staff
I am in my mid 60's paid up 3years support zero support, tried online chat for 2 days today finally got onto [name removed]. who is clearly not a peoples person. He asked what I see when I click on a link he provided which was a link to my 3 year LOYAL Membership (a word Norton have proven to NOT understand) when [name removed] asked what I see I told him I seem my subscription details he so AROGANTLY replied "I know what you can see" I replied I don't understand (I thought I may have misunderstood why he kept sending me back to my membership d...etails, the rude arrogant excuse for "NORTON SUPPORT?????put me on hold for some minutes I kept asking are you still there, clearly I was not giving him the answer he wanted & I gave him the answer to what I understood the question to be. I don't know what nor why he was so rude, he without notice after some time discontected our chat.. so Norton for so many years you have taken my money but given little support if any, your answer to everything is uninstall and reinstall. You are so arrogant you think we are stupid. We pay for a SUPPORT SERVICE but don't get SUPPORT. I make if at all maybe one call a year and each time your answer is the same UNISTALL/REINSTALL. No wonder you make it so difficult to connect, you should simply have a recording UNINSTALL/REINSTALL since that is your answer to everything no matter the question. I have been a member for MANY years and always end up with Windows who help NOT norton. If you don't support a LOYAL PAID Up front 3 year membership & your refuse to help . Your staff told me I need to pay if you help I replied I am paid up, but you want more. Next step is Ombudsman. Finally after 4hours got to speak to another person at Norton who told me he cannot restore my settings unless I pay EXTRA. Go elsewhere this company is a total waste of loyal customers valuable time & money.
Billing changes spoiled a trust worthy product
I have been happy with Norton, until they automatically renewed my account without my awareness or authorization, double the price I was paying for my deal! Disappointing to say the least, as I have been happy with the product up until now. In the past I have been politely reminded to repay my sub. What are you guys thinking? That I wouldn't notice the transaction?

DO NOT GO NEAR THEM! No customer service what so ever
I have purchased my Norton from a third party for about $30 for one year. I do remember unchecking the automatic renewal but it seems that I haven't. So, about 11 months after my subscription was automatically renewed for $185 for one year (this is worth 6 years not only one). I have tried to communicate with Norton through their hopeless website (what a joke their website is) several times but I have received no reply at all- that was 6 months ago and still no reply from Norton customer "service". In result, I paid 6 times the price and I neve...r had a chance to cancel my subscription and get my money back and was held hostage for another year. But, it didn't finish there! Just yesterday I received an email from Norton to notify me that my subscription will finish soon; that is on 21 Dec 2020 which is about 7 months before the actual expiry date. I have hopelessly tried to contact their pathetic customer service and I really can't tell whether I have succeeded or not. You see, I have filled the application out but then I received no notification or email or reference number or anything to show that my attempt to contact them was recorded. I am really disgusted by their service. Stay away

I have used Norton for years and buy a new copy each year. This year cannot continue without agreeing to automatic renewal. Uninstalled and going elsewhere. In my opinion it is unconscionable conduct and hopefully will cost then more customers than they snare victims.

Beware of Auto Renewal Scam
Just purchased Norton from an Electricial reseller and took out a two year subscription. Just as I put in my product key number the screen goes to a Auto Renewal Subscription form that demands your Credit Card details or you can’t continue.
I paid cash for this as I just wanted it for the period I purchased it for. Stop holding me to ransom Norton. Either let me have two years protection or reimburse me. SCAMMERS.

A good product let down and destroyed by auto renew
Have been using Norton since 2008. I have generally watched out for specials come renewal time and bought them and continued with Norton... Since auto renew came in I cannot do this now and am not offered any options that I like. Choice then is to dump Norton.
Apple have this same set up with cloud storage - to pay $1.49 per month you have to hand over credit card details to Apple (they will not allow up front one off payment). Of course if your kid decides to download some 'free' app that suddenly converts to a paid for one after a free perio...d, you get in a big argument with Apple. Shame Norton are into this credit card thing as well. Not as bad as Apple I suppose, but my subscription is up soon and I have had 'free' upgrades lately - Life Lock and Utilities etc. and I expect my auto renew will be for that as well. Don't think so. Don't like companies who treat their punters a ugs. This auto renew is uncompetitive and to my mind a big rort. Stay away from this type of 'WE have your card' and save yourself some guaranteed grief one year down the track. Hope you are listening too Apple.
Terrible, cost a fortune and is extremely problematic.
Norton anti-virus and the accompanying VPN service along with the password manager have been nothing short of horrible. Customer service is useless. Main issue for me, among others, was setting passwords and then being locked out for hours despite being in contact with tech support. Avoid purchasing .... Waste of money. Find a free VPN instead and use Chrome password manager.
