Wise Choice - Nu-Eco Double Glazed Windows
Our house is facing the main road and we had been suffered with the noise from every single car drive by. In order to solve the problem and get some good sleep at night, we have done some research and were attracted by one of the well-known double glazed companies. This company suggests to just simply put on another layer of glasses behind our existing windows and said it could effectively stop the noise. We believe in it and we regret as this just gives absolutely no improvement at all. We then start looking for other double glazed companies a...nd we finally chose Nu-Eco. With Nu-Eco, we are impressed with their expertise where they understand their products well and can give very good explanation to tell how they work. We are also pleased with their excellent customer services as they are always happy to assist, being patient with all our queries and can response to us very quickly. And with the double glazed uPVC windows installed by Nu-Eco, the noise level has been reduced rapidly and we are so happy with the result. I highly recommend this company and thank you so much for their great work. Well done!
NU ECO UPVC Double Glazing
We are from the UK, we are fed up with heating the outdoors, drafts, cold patches in the room etc. We have renovated our recent home, our only heat source is a wood heater. The NU ECO product is of really good quality. We had supply only and installed ourselves replacing the old, bad single glazed aluminium frames. We have had a few issues with a sticking lock and one missing screw. One of the team always sorted the problem without any question. As an owner installer, they were more than helpful with tips and sometimes hands on aligning of door...s. A great product, great experience and more importantly a friendly team of helpful people. Highly recommended :-) It is now July 2016 and another Melbourne winter! Our full renovation is now completely finished and the double glazing compliments the warm home we have created.
NU Eco Windows- UPVC Double Glazing
Being from the UK, where double glazed windows have been fitted for years I wanted to have them fitted into my house in Australia to reduce noise and heat as well as providing insulation for the winter.
I arranged for 3 companies to quote for the 7 windows I wanted replacing. The sales person [name removed] from NU Eco arrived on time measured up and provided me with a written quotation the following day. There was no pressure salesmanship which impressed me, as one of the other companies was very pushy trying to get me to sign on the day. A...
Nu Eco Windows - UPVC Double Glazed Windows
The jury may be out on whether an qaluminium or UPVC double glazed window is better, but we're really glad to have chosen the latter, and more so this company.
From first meeting with Russell to finish, Nu Eco was always courteous, helpful and never spun any marketing campaign. Days of installation were always professional & care taken to protect furniture and carpets. Fantastic clean up after each day.
Windows & doors are fantastic, and on first morning after installation, couldn't believe the difference in the house, and that was with n...
Double Glazed UPVC
We investigated and looked at quite a few different brands and prices.
I especially looked at the finish, materials and construction. These were a few that were not too solidly reinforced inside the frame, not plated etc.
The New Eco ones we settled on came in 1st for price, construction methods, stainless steel fittngs on mechanisms, choice of colours and surface finish and a very responsive sales contact (Russell).
We also liked the idea of local content where available with the glass. We chose 6.3mm laminated, 18 gap, 4mm toughened with l...

Very competitive in price. Had 2 companies out and Nu-Eco were slightly cheaper and sales staff not as pushy as the other company. Would highly recommend.

Do these dgu, have the thermal break?
They also have the option to put a 'reflective' layer in the internal glass; opposite for what is done in the UK. So Saturday just gone & nearly 40 in Melbourne & I thought we had air con in the mail level (we don't have an air con unit!) as house was very cool. We do have awnings too, which help too. Noted that windows were quite cool to touch, so radiant heat significantly less.
Only aluminium windows use thermal break design. Timber and upvc don't need a thermal break because they are better insulators. BTW some thermal break designs cause structural problems for the windows because of high temperature difference either side of the break leading to different expansion & contraction rates.
