Exceptional in every aspect
I listen to Tidal Master (>2000kbs) with multiple sets of headphones and I can assure you the Nuraphone is exceptional.
Balanced, personalised, you'll hear nuances in your favourite music you've not heard before.
Purchased in June 2019 at nuraphone online for $479.00.

Some serious issues
Let's be clear, I actually really wanted to love these headphones. They're an Aussie brand, with a cool new idea, and a design that I found rather pleasing too, including the nice metal finish to some of the parts. However, there are some major downfalls to these headphones that just make them so hard to like.
The most prominent issue is they have a firmware issue that prevents the headphones from being able to take phone calls. Their customer service team gave me varied responses, with some suggesting it was a widespread issue, others saying ...
Read moreit was more uncommon, but sending me a replacement set of headphones likely wouldn't fix it; seems a bit suss. Despite this being a warranty issue, they refused to acknowledge it as a manufacturing fault and offered to extend my "30-day money back guarantee" but wouldn't replace the headphones, nor allow me to hang onto them to allow their tech teams a chance to fix it. Their rationale was their tech teams had more important things to tend to than the complaints of an individual user and that they weren't willing to make an open ended offer to return it. This has since been reported to Fair Trading. Firmware issues aside, the headphones have some irritating design flaws that make them less than ideal to use. The most prominent of which being how much warmer your ears get under those headphones, as they're made with a siliconised rubber that doesn't breathe well. You will literally get condensation from sweat building up inside the ear-cups. Furthermore, the metal band is a nice aesthetic touch, but it means the headphones don't pack down...at all. The earpieces won't fold flat and the headband is flexible, but won't fold either. And lastly, the controls or lack thereof. Whilst I like the minimalist design of the headphones, it comes at the cost of only having 2 touch controls on the side of each headphone. This in itself isn't a problem, aside from the fact they seem to be a bit finicky to use. Sometimes they won't register the touch, yet other times they'll register a touch from the faintest bump, even if it wasn't intentional. The sound quality, despite what some others have said is actually pretty decent, and some of the features they've innovated, like the immersion and sound profiles are cool, but you quickly forget they're there and won't use them for anything more than showing off to your friends. The ANC on the headphones also has a bit to be desired. It's not bad by any means, but at the price these headphones are going for, if ANC is important to you, get the Sony XM4s. Overall, these headphones are cool and I still do really want to like them, but I just find all the novelties of them wearing thin and the price point makes them very hard to recommend to anyone. I can only hope that as the company grows, they invest in making a new version that tends to some of the quality and design issues that have made this one a bit mediocre.Purchased in August 2020 at Nuraphone for $412.00.

Not Happy at all. Not the best headphones around.
Not the best headphones around. Please try it before purchasing it. I personally purchased it on review and i can not understand why it was highly rated? Very uncomfortable any many ways.
Bass is distorted. I have a few headphones and i must say it's the most discomfort one I have. Please buy it before you buy it. I had it for one day and i'm now selling it. Cheaper headphones give less bass but much better sound quality. I did my research on different review but in my opinion i would not rate this at all. Check the Candy Skullcrusher ANC, mu...

If i had to use it from my collection Nuraphone would be my last choice. I have over 25 headphones and been collecting for over 5 years. It amaze me how marketing can convince people on buying this headphones without trying it. I purchase outright for $550. Now i am kicking myself and should of have waited until i could try it in store before buying it. Purchase online due to COVID 19. Best headphones from my collection 1. Skull crusher ANC 2. Don’t purchase it for present because it might break in less than two months !!
My nura broke after only using this headphone in less than 2 months ! I send an email but received no response; I was sick and had a lot of family stuff going and being carer as well as working full time I had no time to follow up but I found it again and thought I give my feedback! I paid over AU$400 but only to have the headphone for two months. All I did was taken it off my hears and put it on my desk and next thing I was looking at one side of the headphone came off and all the wires were out ! Very very poor quality !! Great personalised listening
I use my headphones for listening to music and also connected to my laptop when I'm falling asleep at night and have something playing. Very satisfied with the personalised sound, the design, comfort and wireless functionality.
Purchased in November 2018 at Amazon for $349.00.

Not the greatest - test them to make sure before you buy
While there is no doubt that the sound is incredible, they feel quite claustrophobic and get very sweaty due to the silicone. The sound is good quality but when they change from 'Unpersonalised' to 'Personalised' the default sound is almost deliberately poor so the comparison is that much better. If I had the opportunity to test them I probably wouldnt have gone with them.

Great Sound, Not Travel Friendly.
When I saw Nuraphones for the first time I was expecting them to cost a small fortune, I was amazed at the price!
The solid build, the quality of the materials, and the feel were all mega expensive. Excellent.
When the application created my listening profile I was blown away. It was as if someone had used my brain to adjust the equalisation of every frequency exactly how I wanted it, and let me loose on the bass control.
The chart clearly showed my lack of high frequency response due to age, and years of construction work.
I had to buy t...

Personalised listening
I was first very skeptical. I owned $500 headphones before which were supposed to be of the highest quality but the leather ear cups and head band literally disintegrated 1 month after the warranty expired. So I wasn't sure about spending that much again and be disappointed later. I had my Nuraphones since October and I would't change. The difference in listening to music which is personalised to your own hearing profile is so groundbreaking that I don't think I want to listen to any other headphones ever. The sound is IMPRESSIVE. I love the de...
Read moresign too. The ear cups and the headband are silicone and feel very comfortable. I don't have an issue with the weight as some reviews are saying. The touch control is a bit tricky but once you get used to it its perfect. The noise cancelling works a treat and the social mode lets you to keep the Nuraphones on if you need to talk to someone. The unique ear cups.buds design is very confusing at first I would say but again once you get used to it you are sorted.Other Wireless Headphones

Excellent headphone
I was skeptical at first. How come a wireless headphone can be that great? However, I'm convinced the moment I first try this headphone. It plays music personally to your own ears because everyone of us hears differently. The headphone sonically moulds the musics so that it matches our own hearing systems. That's why this nuraphone is so different to the rest of wireless headphone on the market.

Nuraphones, very very good headphones
Nuraphone started on Kickstarter, it’s their first product so expect some minor teething problems. I’m sure the next release will be an improvement.
From a sound reproduction point of view they are excellent, the best headphones I have ever heard and I have a collection of Audiotechnica, B/W and Sennheiser.
Because of the sound customization no headphones in their normal state can come close. The only way to compare other headphones is to do it using some sort of equalization on those headphones.
Samsung has an app called "adapt sound"...
Read more which is very good. I have done some comparisons and even with equalization Nuraphones have a wider sound stage and better bass. If you want to hear every note crystal clear, and every instrument distinct, smooth vocals and amazing bass then Nuraphones are for you. If you think you know your song collection, think again, re-listen and you will hear elements in those songs you didn’t hear before, like instruments and subtle sounds.TolimanHunter Region, NSW

An incredible experience for casual, or audiophiles alike.
First up, feel free to think of this as highly subjective.
These are very new, fairly expensive to buy sight-unseen or untested,
These are not yet mass-produced and you're not going to find them in stores for a while; To my knowledge, they've only started shipping about 20,000 of them during the Christmas 2017 period, and ordering from the website will take a few weeks.
This makes it heavily reliant on reviews or demos or word of mouth. This will change, but it's good to know this in advance.
I bought these on the original kicksta...
Read morerter from the Melbourne startup around July 2016, for about half of the retail price, and they are undoubtedly comparable to any of the Bluetooth headphones you're likely to buy within the estimated USD $400 price range. (You can find referral discounts online, but I'd still highly recommend finding a review or hunting around for the product/demos to experience in person.)Questions & Answers
