It was good... till it went up in smoke!
Bought this blender just over a year ago and probably used it once a fortnight at most. A few weeks ago I noticed it was getting hot and making a screaming noise. Used it 2 more times till it melted on the inside and filled my kitchen with smoke!
What a piece of junk! I won’t be buying one of these again
Purchased in April 2019 at JB Hi-Fi.
Can't rely on the parts
Loved this blender for 2 years! Then... the blade started smoking, so the blade needed replacement. Got the replacement, then great again! Then 2 years later another replacement?? So its $300 for the entire blender, then $35 every couple of years just to replace the blade?? The customer service at Mann-Noble (distributor of Ninjas), said it depends on how often it's used etc. Apparently her's has no problem for the last 4-5 years and used everyday, where as mine was not used everyday and yet needed to be replaced twice. I don't even add NUTS to...fruit-veg smoothies, why is it breaking?! The girl must've had terrible customer service training and had no idea how to deal with the situation and sounded like she was 16 and was on her first job. It seems like a factory inconsistency yet I have to pay for the blade. It seems like a design fault to capture consumers because there's no choice except to need to order a replacement blade. They are not built for durability. And Mann-Noble know this and don't care. Disappointed.
Bad customer service and spare parts are unavailable!!
You can't buy the bowl for the older style. Nutri Ninja changed the bowl design "slightly" around August/September 2018. I know because I was sent the new designed one and it does not engage properly. I was on a Wait List for the old design bowl, for 3 months, and was happy to wait. But they decided to cancel my order and refund me.
Mann & Noble accept no responsibility for their products. I recommend buying another brand.
YOU CANNOT GET REPLACEMENT PARTS!!
This is worst electronic product I ever had
I bought this product on boxing day sale 2 years ago. I used it for a year 15 times in a year only for needing a cookie dough and for avocado smoothie still some of the parts are packed. . then i haven't used it for a year as I was away Now suddenly it stopped working. It works now and then sometimes but doesn't work the way it should be. Not happy with this product at all. Try to call customer service but doesn't helpfull as warranty was only for a year.
Cannot believe it! There is no SERVICE OR REPAIRING centers for Ninja in Australia!
I have bought Nutri Ninja Blending System with Auto IQ for 350 dollars in Good Guys Clarkson, WA. After 2 years the blender stopped working, and I brought it to the Good Guys to ask for repairing. I agreed to pay for repairing services because I was out of warranty. It turned out that there is NO REPAIRING service in all AUSTRALIA for NINJA brand! Incredible.
I believe that the Good Guys should not sell this brand, if they abandon their clients with their appliance s with no chance to get them repaired.
Saying that, I have written an emai...
Lasted for 18 months
Was a great blender, Although very noisy until now. The motor has burnt out just 6 months out of warranty. Cannot access the Ninja Manufacturers Website to get contact details. A very expensive system to be buying every 18 months.
Processor bowl attachment is useless. Blender cup blades LEAK
I already had the IQ with the cups and they are undoubtedly amazing for pulverising anything and making smoothies silky smooth (so fine that you cannot catch any pulp in nut milk bag, just runs straight through). But the blades ALL leak and I have replaced them twice. They leak black stuff from the bottom and eventually the blades won't spin properly and it burns the motor.
I bought this kitchen system mainly for the processor bowl attachment, but it doesn't process anything because the lowest speed is so lightening fast that it flings every...thing to the sides of the bowl and creates vacant space around the blades so they just spin, meanwhile the carrots, zucchini and other veggies you put in there don't budge. I'll scrape the sides down and with one push of "low" button, everything's flung back onto the sides of the bowl. Totally useless! Unless you add heaps of water but then you might as well use the blender! The whole point of a processor its to chop things up smoothly without the need for any water.
Worked fine with smoothies but went to puree pumpkin and it didn't blend at all, not only that but burnt off bits at the bottom causing it to smell strange and make strange noises. Returned the product the sales person didn't sound surprised
Poor quality, already broken after 5 weeks.
Product doesn't meet the capability as described. Struggled to blend green smoothies. Mounts where the screws hold the gearbox to the food processor bowl cracked and started to separate after only 5 weeks of use, effectively making the blades as dangerous as an untrained knife thrower. Far too noisy, can't use before 7:30 am without breaking council noise rules. Food particles trapped within the places you can't get to, to remove them, without removing screws. Poorly built, using cheap materials. Returned the product for a full refund and bought a Breville.
