Elderly people gem
I just need it for outgoing and incoming calls especially from my sick husband. Occasionally to send and receive messages. I wanted something very simple and basic but with big numbers due to my poor vision. At the moment these are the features I’m using, probably slowly I will improve my skills in technology
Thanks for such a practical mobile phone
Great for seniors
I purchased this phone for my 90 year old mother. She was being charged very high amounts by her telco company just for having a landline. I did not want her to have a phone line through the NBN due to her not using internet and the unusually high cost of calls they were quoting. This phone has been the perfect solution. She has only been using it for a few days now and once she is more comfortable with it we will have her landline disconnected. So far, it has been great. She is not very good with technology and I did not want a phone that had ...internet capability. We just needed a phone that makes calls, takes calls and takes messages. I don't think that she will manage texting with the phone, but she may surprise me! I have recommended Olitech phones to other seniors that she is friends with also. Most of these people do not want an internet connection - just a phone that does what a phone is supposed to do. Great value, simple phone for elderly people that does what it's meant to do.
Bach to the Future!!
This phone is very similar to the Nokia Classic I used about 20 years ago. Admittedly, going back to the older technology feels a bit "clunky" at first, but now have less operating mistakes than with the "faster-than-light" phones. A couple of unexpected side issues. I needed to use an earpiece with the "smart" phone, but can hear clearly now. Also the ring tone is louder and the vibration stronger. My assumption is that as the "smart" phones are getting thinner and lighter, all the components are getting smaller. I predominantly only use the phone for calls and SMS - hence the "smart" phone had a lot of functions which were never used. Useability outdoors is good with the bright screen.

Love the menu button!
I bought this phone for my father and think the buttons set aside for Menu, Speaker Phone, and Magnifying Glass are great. The only problem is the phone can't be used with the charging cradle if you have put the protective cover on the phone. My father would struggle to take the cover off for charging.
Great for seniors!
Purchased for my elderly mother who is losing her landline soon due to NBN and who has trouble using her current mobile phone, because it is too complex. The Olitech Easymate is much easier for Mum to use as it has mostly basic functions. (Mum hasn't attempted photos or texts yet ... baby steps). The cradle charging function makes it easier for Mum compared to plugging in a cord. The buttons are large and the phone speaking confirmation of buttons pressed is brilliant. Very good for seniors.

We purchased a mobile plus the plan for our mother who insisted she would not be able to use it.
She loves it! Although she hasn't attempted to use the camera to send images she has become confident enough with her Easymate that she no longer uses her landline.
The mobile is a great size and has clear easy to use numbers, display and is quite simple to access the menu. Most important part for her is the phonebook which is easy to find and use.
The emergency button is a fantastic feature. It gives her reason to make sure she always has her phon...
good phone for seniors
after initial problems caused by me and fixed by Olitech help my phone is up and running. I could not hear callers on my previous phone, but the sound is loud and clear on this Olitch one the phone is also simple to use when entering new contacts I am very happy with my purchase
Good Phone for my Elderly Mother
I purchased the phone for its simplicity , large keypad and ring tone volume. It’s what my 84 yo mum needed. We liked the yellow phone cover however to place the phone on charge the cover needs to be removed. This is a little difficult for my mums fingers so unfortunately we are unable to use the cover .
A+ Customer Service
Fabulous customer service! Phone only took 2 days but it didn't power on, rang Olitech and they send another immediately and spare battery ; no probs! Plus free return. New phone worked straight out of box and hoping my 90 year old dementia affected Mum uses it to call her sister in the UK.
A great device for oldies who just want a phone
I don't want a smart phone because I don't think they are all that smart. The Olitech Easy Mate+ was the solution for me because it is a simple device designed for older people. It all works well including the Bluetooth to my hearing aids. My only grumble is that reception inside the house is not quite as strong as my previous phone. Ben

A miracle for oldies
I can't believe that I finally have a phone that does everything I need it to do, and is so easy to use and understand. There is no Internet but my computer takes me there. It has a button on the side to lock the phone so I can't dial by mistake, and can still receive and answer incoming calls, and can unlock it easily to make a call. What I love is that it has an alarm to remind me when to take my tablets, and the alarm sounds loud and clear even when turned off. I can see the screen and the voice tells which buttons I have pressed so I kn...ow if I've made a mistake, and those buttons are nice and easy. Texting is a bit slower than on a smart phone because more than one press has to be made in order to find a letter, but this is how texting used to be anyway, but I could never see the letters on the keys as clearly as they are on this one. I love EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. I read one review by 'balderthan1' and could not believe that this person gave such a bad review and it is absolutely clear that s/he had no idea how to set the phone so all the things stated that didn't work, actually do. I am in seventh heaven being able to use a mobile again without getting frustrated and giving up. Thank you Olitech for this wonder phone.
Not As Good As First Impressions Suggest
Having lost my Optus-locked Doro flip phone because Optus mysteriously reduced coverage at my house, and returned an Aspera F28 because the clam shell was not strong enough to resist even slight pressure without dialling, I settled this time on Olitech. Initially, as a 76 year old, it seemed to tick most Senior's boxes. That's initially. I recall a reviewer writing about a catastrophic Telstra seniors phone as "having been designed by a teenager who had never met an old person in his life" . You have to wonder if this is true of all Seniors...phones. The alarm, which on the Doro was simplicity itself, is a nightmare with more key strokes than I can count and (so far) no way of getting rid of the snooze function. I suppose someone somewhere over 70 needs to enter a dozen different times to wake up but not I. The Bluetooth is wretched. Having paired with the media centre in my car it requires two answered prompts when the radio is switched on and again if I stop for the shops or petrol. And it is asking for prompts whilst I am actually driving. Which is illegal if I need to press buttons. The clam phones I just left in my pocket and switched on the radio. Done. Almost every tooled-up TV detective uses a flip phone so what is the problem for us oldies? The Olitech would definitely benefit from this as the unprotected buttons are ultra sensitive and require the lock to be used. I have bought a folding case but this covers the lock and volume side slides, and the flap does not protect against pressure, so Catch 22 there. There is a choice of two colours, black on white or white on black. The latter I find best for texting though the progression of letters on the bottom bar is white on grey which is not good for vision impaired oldies. Lots of pluses: the backlit numbers and letters are the best I have ever seen. The buttons themselves are nice to handle. If you want loud no problem. The speaker is terrific. The range of available ringtones is excellent, including a variation on the much-loved old Nokia tone - and you can upload your own. I bought this directly from Olitech which gives me a 14 day change my mind. On balance I will keep it as the pluses outweigh the minuses. It is my misfortune to be unable to handle a touch screen otherwise dumb phones would not get a look in. But as a senior, this is the best of the bunch so far if you want an unlocked offering.

Perfect for seniors
I made an inquiry which was responded to very quickly with the answers I was looking for eg - I ordered the phone the next morning and within 2 days it was delivered and my husband was able to use it - clear instructions, easy to use - PERFECT piece of technology for those not so technology-minded. Many thanks Olitech.
Well thought out
When my Nokia C3-01 started playing up, I decided it was time to replace it. Choice magazine has assessed the Olitech as being the best for seniors and after checking out all the features, I decided to get one. So far ( c. 10 days ) all good. The setting up instructions are very easy to follow as is the whole user manual - nice big print. It was so easy removing the SIM card from the Nokia and inserting it into the Olitech and straight away everything was there as before and worked perfectly.
It has been designed specifically ...
Questions & Answers
I bought a new Olitech easy flip I turned it on for the first time and it says system UI has stopped, what do you think I should do ?
I bought and returned the Olitech Easy flip as I reckon it's a miniature complex smart phone. I would contact Olitech via their web site and ask them. I must confess that I don't know what Ul means. They also have 3 lots of video instructions for your Easy flip. Very informative but I reckon it highlights its complexity. That's why I went back to my Olitech Easy Mate which is fantastic in comparison. If you don't get satisfaction from Olitech then contact your provider.
Has the 3G been turned off? We are in Hobart. My husband's phone won't call any numbers and he gets a message that "this number is not available on this service."
Hi my elderly mum has an olitech she is having trouble...when she answers it she cant hear me unless she presses the speaker and then it is not always clear (I can hear her though). Have they somehow turned call volume off ??
I can't think of any way that the call volume can be turned off Parks. The only thing I can think is that she is in a poor reception area which can change even just walking around the house. Check the vertical line ramp shaped icon in the extreme top left. There should be at least 4 gradually lengthening vertical lines. Any less and you are losing reception. If reception is getting weak the lines will gradually start to disappear. Also check the battery in the extreme top right. The battery shape should have all black vertical lines.
