Great power. Annoying to get the last bits out of
The machine is powerful and blends things that none of my old blenders could.
There are two issues that I am not satisfied with. One is that it is a total pain to get the remains out with thick liquids. You spend ages with odd shaped spatulas trying to go around the blades and get them out.
The other is that you need a certain quantity for it to work. Generally, this is more than 1 person will want to consume. So if you are used to blending up a small meal then eating, you will have to put double the quantities for the blades to churn it. Th...en put the leftovers aside. I have contacted the company about this but they never got back to me. Which is odd, because when we were potential customers, the company had great communication. Overall I am impressed with the power and capabilities of the unit. I guess you can't have it all.

Warning! The Jug Exploded And Could Cause Serious Injury
Recent events with this blender have dropped its rating from five stars. We were blending a smoothie when part of the jug exploded sending a large chunk of plastic flying at great speed through the kitchen, just missing one of my young children. Thankfully it missed but it could have been way worse. It would have easily taken out an eye. I contacted Omniblend who were also thankful it didn’t hurt anyone and offered to sell me a replacement jug at $90. At the price point for this blender I expected it to last longer than four years and to...

I bought the OmniBlend lll 1.5 litre for $245 in Nov. '13. This is the basic and smaller blender with just the ON/OFF and HI/LO buttons and no timer. I consider the motor very powerful. I've had it now for 4 months and compared to all the other blenders I've owned over the years, this is great! I use it mainly for soups, fruit smoothies and frozen margheritas and it completely outperforms every other blender I've owned. If I have it for 5 years (which it is guaranteed for), it will far outlive all the others too.
There is just one thing ...to watch out for - when you blend hot soups, you must do it in small amounts - 200 - 300ml lots. I didn't and got tomato soup all over the kitchen. This does not happen with cold food. Apart from that, I'm very pleased with it. Reasonable price for the basic model, performs well and super easy to clean. Nothing wrong with it. Blend hot liquids in small amounts. Update August 2019: My blender is still going strong after 5 and a half years.

Questions & Answers
I tried to make almond butter yesterday and eventually succeeded in making it but in the middle of the process, my omniblend started making really loud sounds like something was broken. I can't tell what's wrong with it but could it be the drive socket that requires replacing? And is omniblend able to make almond butter like vitamix, the recipe book I got had Nutella recipe so thought this should work too..
My omnibkend jug broke. It's out of stock on the website, however it says vitamix is compatible. Would the vitamix work for both wet and dry ingredients because it only says wet item description.
Hi Mis.b, We are expecting stock to arrive at the end of this month but we may be able to help you out with ex demo stock and it is possible you do not need a complete new jug. Please email us through firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 02 66 856 360. Thanks Raph, OmniBlend Australia.
