I recieved 3 tradies and only one actually showed up...all 3 were asian with difficult english speaking...im extremely disappointed in oneflare and the poor quality of trades in a state with no current restrictions in place.
No proper screening of professionals
Hired a painting business only to have the project ruined. Off to Fair Trading. Very disappointing. This company was a bunch of mugs masquerading as professional painters. We are furthering legal action against the contractor and considering implicating Oneflare as fault to damages incurred.
I hired a plumber from oneflare and he overcharged me for a job that he didn’t even fix and then when I asked for him to return ([name removed] from bontech plumbing is his name)to fix the job or give me a refund he called to abuse me calling me a fat butt selfish low-life person. I complained to oneflare and they did nothing about it. All they said was that they will call him and monitor him. How about ban him that would have been more appropriate
Very slow workers
Organize a truck. 2 guys turn up. Started loading the truck. The drivers brought the biggest truck. They were going great for the first 1 hour. After that they were so slow. Never got everything on. We had to travel back with trailer on and finish the job. Had to fight over the price. As we were quoted $120 hour but driver said no $130 hour. Once he realized that the quote was staying at $120. They didnt care what was going on the truck. My partner has a brain injury and we could move ourselves. So i felt it was better to get a removing company...in. My partner used to be a removalist. And he said that everything should of been on the truck. Once they got to our new place. They had slow right down. Left empty drinks and chip packets on the front step. Threw broken straps in our garden. They didnt give a damn. Never ever again will i give this company anymore of my time or money. And when we try to ring the company no answer. They would ring you back.. when they felt like it shame on your company..people please dont use this company.
Awful experience as a business owner
No assistance in how to use their platform, didn't refund leads that didn't reply as promised, difficult process to cancel subscription. Leads don't reply, not one job won. Awful customer service.
Scammers - Beware of giving them your credit card details.
I signed up with them because they told me that they would send me hundreds of leads a day.
I received 2 in 30 days. One was fake
They ended up stealing funds from my account afterwards and forced me to contact ANZ to reverse the charges. They charged me twice. Always check you accounts for charges from one flair. They charged hundreds of dollars in hidden fees.
They will threaten you and carry on like children when you dispute anything.
After I did this, I received multiple calls from scammers on my spare phone. I think they sold my info when I disputed the charges because no one has that number but them.
When I was signed up for 30 days, I received hundred of calls asking to sign up for a higher rate. ...They charge $190 a month and $10 per quote. They say they will refund you if you don't get leads but they never do. They always have some sort of excuse. Do not use them. I have used sites like this for years, some are shady but not like this. This was just disgusting. I really wish others would share their stories. Preying on small businesses during the corona virus, is the most horrible thing someone could do.
Do not trust this company!
They will keep deducting and call it a subscription. 3 people in my circle are fighting to get money’s returned.
If they are deducting form your account make sure you take the matter further. Companies can not do this.
Business model is a Scam & a Rip Off! Do not use!
The customer service team do not have a good understanding of their own product and you are left to learn through trial and error.
Be prepared to wait for 1 month after agreeing to their monthly plan for an account manager to be assigned to you.
They also expect App users to pay a 30% surcharge by Apple if you are in a hurry to purchase more quoting credits over the app. For example: it will cost you $64.99 to purchase a 50 credit pack to quote.
Their solution is for you to Ring them when you need more credits or turn on the auto TopUp featur...
Ridiculous charges for leads
Never use these guys!
Selected a lawn mowing job and was charged $23.00 for the pleasure. Rang the help desk as this was obviously a mistake, but was advised that this was the correct charge.
It appears they want to drive businesses away by charging exorbitant prices. This also doesn't work for potential customers as the charges eventually get passed onto them.
Hi Pages is a far better and more professional outfit for leads and an abundant amount of businesses to provide comparative quotes.
a complete waste of time
sign my business up and waited for a call. Call comes next day no problem at all, lady said she would sign me up which was great so helpful then tried to schedule me another call to help me “get setup” with my account I declined but then said she would sign me up anyways and so that was it, call ended, no email about any signup or anything, I contact support and they said we have to “discuss details about your account” which i don’t understand because i’ve just had a call saying they would sign me up, a complete waste of my time
They rob businesses with fake leads. Charge 10's of $ per lead, and despite commitment for a refund on unresponsive leads, 90% of times they simply reject your refund claims.
Cheaters & Robbers!
Many con men posing as Tradies on this website
In 2018, I enlisted a bathroom tradie to do my bathroom from OneFlare. He ran off with my deposit without completing any work.
His name was [name removed].
OneFlare allowed him to set up multiple pages on OneFlare and is verified within minutes without any official checks.
I recently found out that he is still conning people out of their deposits under a new business name after I reported him and his several business listings on OneFlare.
Then OneFlare don't allow you to post negative reviews as it does not meet their reviews guidelines.
What a load of crap.
OneFlare and [name removed] are representing honest hard-working Australian tradies poorly and it is disappointing.
DO NOT USE.
Bad customer service and make you pay for giving customers advise.
The only person that helps me is Yass and I give him 5 stars .Yass got me refunds and helped me a lot. Without Yass I would not stay with Oneflare.
Won't use again
I tried using Oneflare for catering purpose and I didn't get a single response! Then they ask for me for a review...... Well here's your review. Wont use again. Thanks
Waste of money
Didn't get a single project through them. For a small IT business such as ours, with low profit margins, Oneflare credit system is too expensive. It is also not explained clearly in advance. You can try if you are willing to risk 1000s of dollar, the required credits/job in your industry are low or the profit margins are high. Otherwise, it's a waste of time and money.
Don't work for these grubs.
One Flare take money when not approved. They are Grubs. In this time of covid19 it is brutal that they are taking money which is not approved. My partner called to stop it and they kept hanging up on him. The bank can't stop it for some garbage reason. Don't anybody use this mob of Grubs for work or employment.
More transparency required
People looking for trades should be advised of the cost to trades when responding to their posting of a job.
When I gave these companies a try I couldn't leave fast enough, as none of the consumers were aware of these charges or that the charges were so high.
After signing up with the company and paying their fees I can respond to posted jobs.
If i want to respond to your lead, I have to purchase credits. 1 credit = $1.... and use the credits to obtain your contact details.
Oneflare, Home Improvement Pages, Get quote, Service Seeking and others all use this platform.
Bunnings now advertise the fact that they can get you painting quotes too....but it is transferred to one of the companies listed....So to respond to say, a small painting job, Oneflare charges a painter 31 credits. This company lets you know how many other tradepeople have responded to the posting ....out of 7 they send it too. Most companies send it to 3 tradepeople. Each tradeperson can be charged over 50 credits for your contact details, depending on the companies algorithm. Size of job, proximity to job etc. So ....who here thinks that this cost is not passed onto the consumer? Do yourself a favour. Check with your local outlet for plumbing supplies or paint or electrical items or tiling and ask here for recommended tradepeople to quote on your job....its supporting your local trades and really is free. And to the companies providing the listing service....let your customers know the real costs involved
Not what I asked for
I was looking for a painter, but instead got two very quick responses from project management companies that were overpriced. Would have preferred to deal directly with a tradesman than a middleman.
It is terrible platform to stole the money from Business
I am the one of Business running on Oneflare. At this platform, any businesses who could not be successful with the job because of customers faults ( as unresponsive customers or who is providing the incorrect or disconnected numbers), the credit refund is not applied to business. Another non-refund, if the businesses could not provide the quote that customers want. I could not believe some platforms to earn the money in this way even just only 1 or 2 jobs per week.
I would prefer don’t use this platform for automotive business.
This is terrible and stolen platform.
Didn't work for me
I used it for 3 months. The guy I spoke to was very slick, it sounded like a no brainer. One thing they do like to tell you is when you buy a monthly subscription you get 40 credits! Sounds great. Until you realise to quote on a job it costs around between 8 and 9 credits PER QUOTE. Yeah, sneaky. Which gives you around 4-5 jobs per month to quote on, then they start charging you for more credits. $10 a pop. This is on TOP of a $158 monthly subscription. I quoted all my credits of 3 months, and from memory I got one reply. I actually secured tha...t job, but at one in around 20 that even reply, it's not worth it. I think the way they collate their info and feed it to you is technically correct, but in reality it does not flow through to customers as real results at all. At least in my experience. I had a bad taste in my mouth from the moment I felt deceived about the credit system, which they did not explain in person to me. I'm sure it's in the fine print somewhere. I've just been left feeling cheated from a system that looks so professional on it's interface and on the phone with their slick sales people.
Questions & Answers
Do all tradesman on this site hold a trade license in their work area.
Hi Donna, we have an article on our Help center that can answer your question.
Shaggy Tails Dog grooming, qouted for a job for me Joanne Nehmer. They are scamming and I believe looking at stealing pets. I gave them the suburb and street name. They wanted the number. I said I would give it to them when on the morning that the job was booked. They said they wanted it now. I said I would report them to the police and to you, I have reported through scam watch, and am now reporting to you. Can you please let me know that you have taken some action.
