Have my doubts about OPSM
Have been with OPSM for a number of years. Had an eye test about 3 weeks ago. Still waiting for my new glasses. Guess they come from China? Also waiting for other tests but ‘machine is broken’ which seems to happen all the time. Still not fixed but I can go to other store? Give them the benefit of the doubt but it is getting beyond a joke. Can go to Bali and get new glasses within a few days.
Little ones first eye test
I had the pleasure of taking both my children aged 6 and 4 to OPSM Liverpool. We had the pleasure of meeting with Shahib Samadi for an eye test. He was highly professional and comprehensive with his testing. He interacted beautifully with both my children making them feel very safe and comfortable during the examining. Highly recommend and will defiantly be going back for future testing.
Excellent Service, Speciality Optometrist
Having only just received a new pair of prescription glasses ( from an independent optometrist) I was experiencing ongoing balance and focus issues. I have a known vestibular problem which my usual Optometrist new about. The Neurological Physio I was seeing recommended the Optometrist at Kawana OPSM who was a Behavioural Optometrist ( post grad. Qualifications in ? Neuro Optometry. My eye exam was the most comprehensive I had ever had and included testing I have never had before. Result was he was able to put into my prescription elements that make things so much easier. He was able to describe the symptoms I was experiencing which validated my frustration.
Amazing digital multifocals
I'm loving my 1st pair of (digital) multifocals - so easy to adjust to. My vision is crystal clear. No need to change glasses for driving and reading. Thanks to OPSM.
Why book when walk-ins are the priority
I made an appointment to have my main eyeglasses examined where in one lens the transition glass was turning white. The warranty was honoured without issue, so I give OPSM full marks on that score.
However, in this day of Victorian stringency I was amazed that two walk-ins had priority over my booking. Normally, I wouldn't comment on this, but with the Victorian government so paranoid about COVIC-19 infections I feel I must. I had COVICSafe running, but did others in the store?
Dr John Ly in Perth CBD
I was very impressed with the thorough eye check that Dr John Ly performed today. I would highly recommend him to friends and family and will definitely come back to book another appointment with him.
Great product and staff
Staff are always friendly and have best interest at heart. Their style range is large and good quality unlike other optical stores. Stores are always bright and clean. Their optometrists really know their stuff.

Personalised customer service with Outstanding aftercare
I have been visiting OPSM at 233 Collins Street, VIC for a few years now. I have a difficult script and can not speak highly enough of this store for their end to end service. Having worn glasses for over 50 years I can vouch that the eye test is thorough. The staff listen to what style you are after and guide you to good choices to suit your script and lifestyle. I have returned to the store for frame adjustments after purchase and the manager and his staff are always more than happy to help to resolve any hiccups. I don't like having to choose new glasses due to my script which makes choices limited, however, at OPSM 233 Collins Street it is always a pleasure. Thank you.
Impressed with the Services at Top Ryde Shopping Centre NSW
I changed Health Fund and OPSM has an arrangement with the "New" Health Fund for 20% discount. Prior to this, I was always under the impression that OPSM frame and lens are usually more expensive than "others". I was impressed with the efficient Services provided by Sherry S from Top Ryde. She patiently sourced the "last" pair of Italian made titanium frame which I found on-line in the OPSM website, and had it delivered to Top Ryde Store. The cost of the frame was extremely reasonable, with progressive lens, the total cost was within $210 gap f...ee. The spectacles was ready within a week and it fits "right" for my sight corrections. If one needs to compare the cost from my previous long-term Optical Company, which also has 20% discount arrangement with my previous health fund; with similar lens and frame, there was very little difference in the Gap Payment on my part. Certainly will be a return customer to OPSM Top Ryde. 10/10 customer Services and cost. Very Happy "Jan"!
OPSM Belconnen Canberra
Today when I walked up my one eye was very painful and I need to see the Optometrist right away. I went their early at 8am but the store still closed. I have waited for an hour to see the Optometrist which I trusted more. Sadly to say that the Optometrist told me she can't accommodate me because of other patience. I understand that, but the pain of my eye is hurting/killing me. Then I went to SPECSAVER in Canberra City - they are very busy too. But the Optometrist is very kind to accommodate me because of my pain. SPECSAVER in Canberra City were human they understand people needs very well. Thank you so much for rescuing my painful one eye. God bless your company and more power to you!
Eye Glasses Still Not Right
I have been going to OPSM for years and generally find them very good. Recently I had my prescription updated and was told that it could take some time to adjust because they are multi focals, but two weeks later I am really struggling. I am told my presciption is correct but I am still suffering balance and vision issues and I need to have my husband to hold onto just so I can get around safely. I feel like my concerns are not being taken seriously. This is my safety we are talking about. Very frustrated.
December 19th 2019 Update: Diff...iculty with New Glasses I have had multi focals for years but recently I had my prescription changed to much stronger ones and after two weeks I am still having problems adjusting to them. I have explained my difficulties to the shop and they insist my prescription is correct. I am getting really frustrated as I don't think my safety is being seriously. My balance is off and I have to rely heavily on my husband to help me get around. I have never had problems with multi focals before. I think being continually be told that my eyes will adjust is no longer good enough.
Not happy Jan
Firstly, let me state that I have been most impressed with the quality of eye testing at my local OPSM store. The staff in this department have never been anything but professional, efficient, caring and friendly.
Re the purchase of eyeglasses and continuing customer care - well that is a different story. After paying a considerable amount of money for my last two pair of reading glasses, I was most dismayed to note the rapid deterioration of both pairs with regard to the protective coating. When I took the first pair back to my local store, ...I was told that nothing could be done as I was a few weeks out of warranty. So I promptly arranged for another pair, was told to bring them back straight away if I noticed any problems with the protective lens coating and paid out another large sum of money. When I took the glasses back to the store today, I was told, that yes, my concerns about the protective coating were justified but nothing could be done (yes, I am still in warranty as the glasses are less than 18 months old) as the film is apparently lifting due to the fact that my glasses must have rolled forward, causing a slight scratch on the lens!!! Suffice to say that I have been extremely careful and vigilant with this pair due to the problems with the previous pair. Also suffice to say that I am am most displeased that the protective lens coating on both pair of glasses has been most problematic, to the point where I could not even see out of the original pair and this pair is obviously going the same way - with little care and no suggestions from the staff members on either occasion. I might add that I have ordered at least 6 pair of eyeglasses over the years and have only ever had a problem with these 2 pair ordered through OPSM. With this sort of customer care and quality (or lack thereof) of products, I am hesitant to return to OPSM.
Exceptional service equals a very very happy customer!
Id like to say a special thanks to the team at OPSM Macquarie St in Sydney, most especially Rose and her exceptional customer service. She is always so helpful and provides a truly objective view - recommending frames I would not normally consider - I end up feeling fabulous with the new look! Thanks Rose, you are an absolute gem! I have followed Rose to the Macquarie St store - it has such a great vibe and gives you the time to look around at all the options. Although I have had to move to extended desk lenses, Rose makes the transition so easy! Thank you!!
OPSM Watergardens: Quality service!!
Had my recurring eye test yesterday and left extremely happy to be back in contact lenses! The Optometrist, Susan, spent time working through a solution with lenses which will best suit my vision issues. I had been told for years that I would not be able to wear lenses again, so this is really exciting!!
Hello Sexy Sunglasses, I'm coming for you!!!!
OPSM Katoomba excellence( both customer service and product )
Used KATOOMBA store. Ordered two pairs of Rayban driving prescription glasses. Very satisfied with their tailored customer service ( I had a special request for testing the final product and for individual adjustment). Also both glasses were ready very quickly.
The staff (Melanie and Monica) were professional and very receptive. Thank you very much.

Good quality but bad service
I picked up 2 pairs of my glasses this morning from OPSM Carousel and wasnt happy as 1 of them was a different model to what i ordered.
Todd, The guy who attended me wasnt trying to find out whether my order was right or wrong, instead he convinced me that the glasses is exactly what I ordered. So i walked out, and found out from Sunglass Hut that it wasnt the right model.
I went back to OPSM and talked to the same guy, he told me that its the companys fault, that he doesnt know why and that for me to wait for a new one. He did not once at al...
They don't examine 4 year olds.
I took my 4 year old daughter to OPSM today after it was suggested by the health nurse there was a problem.
I easily made my appointment online after doing research that they tested young children (it said they did, but didn't give specific ages) But that's where my positive feelings stopped. As i walked into my appointment and checked in, the receptionist told me my details weren't in the system. And as a result they didn't know my daughter was 4 and they don't/can't examine children under 6. I was told i could speak to the optometrist which i...

Had to get glasses for the first time in my life, I knew it was coming from previous eye tests. I had one earlier this year and when I re-booked as I had problems, they remembered who I was despite having only been in there twice in 3 years which was very nice.
I had my eyes retested and a prescription done. When looking at the frames, they were very honest with what looked nice and what didn't. At no time were they pushing me towards any type of frames or brand name. They told me about the 50% off the second pair (which I did purchase as I wo...
My experiences with Macquarie Street store have been fantastic, good customer service, friendly & helpful staff, my consultant was Rose, she has fantastic customer service, approachable, totally recommend her to friends & family
Very, very happy with OPSM !
From the moment I entered OPSM in Belconnen Mall, ACT, I was impressed by the store presentation, the genuine warmth of staff greeting and all subsequent processes of eyes testing (superb and warm professionalism), choosing frames etc. I have now been wearing my new spectacles for four days and am totally “over the moon” enjoying perfect vision and light, super-comfortable, stylish spectacles.
Thank you to all at OPSM, Belconnen, ACT!
Don't waste your time going to OPSM Hoppers Crossing in the Werribee Plaza. They are hopeless. Specsavers in the same complex however are great. They have great service and prices and use the latest technology for a comprehensive eye test . And no, I don't have any vested interest, just going from my experience.
Excellent service and advice
I've been visiting OPSM on Hay St in Perth several times over the last few weeks and I have experienced great customer service and assistance.
I went to OPSM to see the Optometrist there about managing an eye injury receive from playing tennis. I was looked after well and was surprised to discover that all my visits were to be bulk billed to Medicare.
The care and advice I've received there has seen me through to a complete recovery and I highly recommend the Hay St store and staff.
Visited for eye check yesterday. After testing I was informed I needed to pay $49 for an additional contact lens fitting. I asked for the script but was told I needed to try different scripts to get the right lens. She stated she only had the glasses script. I have never had this answer before and felt it was money grabbing to get me to buy lenses from them. OPSM price is double what I can pay on line. Then I asked if glaucoma test was ok. She told me l need to pay for this test but had told me earlier my pressure was on the high side of normal. This is rubbish OPSM. An eye test should include the Glaucoma test like at other places. Very disappointed at the money grabbing attitude/policies of OPSM.

I got an eye test done - booked the appointment online which was super easy to do. The test was fast & answered all of my questions. Resulted in me needing to get glasses which the retail assistant was super helpful. Purchased & had them arrive within a week.
