Way too sweet 20g of sugar

For sometime that is meant to promote weight loss this has way too much sugar in it 20g of sugar you might as well drink soft drink. I like that it has vitamins and minerals added to it but I'm switching to another brand with less than half the sugar. Show details

Filling

have just started tastes good; enjoyed the vanilla and strawberry so far as have bought a mixed box. Really filled me up one sachet no complaints at all here. Show details

The flavour was not what I was expecting

I have tried only the vanilla. The flavour was not at all the creamy vanilla flavour I was expecting. Rather watery and left me with a bit of a nasty after taste. Show details

Sickeningly sweet

The product has an artificial overly sweet taste. It made me extremely nauseous. I can't see why it needs to be this sweet and why can't it have a natural flavour Show details

Very poor product

Does not taste of vanilla. Tastes of gross sweetener. Does not combine very well. Stawberry is a bit better. Neither is as good as Tony Ferguson 4.5* and Aldi 3.5*. Show details

Yummy and filling

I have tried a few diets, celebrity slim, the cookie diet, just ordering youfoodz. But none left me as full as optislim its been 14 days and I've lost 6 kgs. With the veggies in-between the shakes I'm really enjoying the program I am full and have no cravings. Show details

No, just....no

The nutritional content of these shakes or their efficacy is, frankly, irrelevant.

I had been losing weight with other Vanilla VLCD Shakes & tried Optislim
(FYI Optifast 4/5 for taste Aldi 5/5 for taste)

Who tasted this and decided it would sell? Who tasted this and decided to label it vanilla? On what basis? The colour? To say it tastes of salt be a unfair to salt. It tastes like how one would imagine palliative robot sweat to taste - chemically, salty and sickening.
Avoid.
There are more enjoyable ways to lose weight. Optifast. Boot camp. Chemotherapy. Show details

Optislim, the perfect recipe

I buy the Vanilla shakes and use Vitasoy UNSWEETENED Almond Milk and Nutribullet to blend. When I feel like chocolate, I add 1 tablespoon of Nature's Way CACAO Organic Powder (available at all supermarkets). Just make sure you get unsweetened almond milk and cacao powder to counteract the sweetness of the optislim shake and use a blender such as Nutribullet and bingo, delicious! Show details

Optislim Vanilla shake doesn’t take like vanilla!

Price wise the optislim is good & affordable!
It doesn’t taste like vanilla so I’m disappointed also I don’t find it very feeling compared to optifast!
When I prep my shake the night before I shake it for like 40-50 seconds and put it in the fridge and its thick and smooth to drink!

TOO SWEET, gross

From the first mouthful this stuff is just horrible.. it is so sickly sweet (I’m guessing to hide the saltiness of it) that it’s almost undrinkable, and it has a weird grainy curdled texture that is really unappealing. Tastes the opposite of healthy. Gross. Waste of money. Show details

Tastes revolting!

I usually buy Optifast, and switched to Optislim this week due to the cheaper price. The taste is revolting, I can barely drink it without gagging. The taste is so bad I checked the use by date, sure they must be off, but they are still in date to 2022. I've tried many other diet shakes in the past and enjoyed the flavour, but Optislim is just awful. It's also very watery and doesn't fully dissolve. I'm sure it works as well as other shake brands, but the taste is so disgusting I would not recommend it to anyone. Show details

If I could Zero Star it I would

I tried Vanilla and it made me feel very nauseated, and physically unwell. The taste was definatly "NOT GREAT" despite what the advertising said. There is absolutly no comparrison to the Aldi brand which i absoutly enjoyed. I would not reccomend this product. Show details

Mix it with a nutribullet not to bad

I have tried all the flavours only like the choc and vanilla but what i do is mix them in a nutri bullet with ice some fruit, nuts and protein power with water or almond milk.. not to shabby tastes pretty good then and goes a bit further in a nutribullet than without, otherwise they aren't very nice. Show details

Don’t like the taste

Have tried both the coffee and chocolate flavours and cannot drink them. Will be getting rid of these and trying a different brand. I have used Impromy and Flexi before and they are much nicer. Show details
