Continually loosing connection

Poor range - looses connection between monitor and camera just outside room. Unable to silence battery / lost connection alarm leads to continual beeping - just have to turn the whole thing off. Not worth using. Show details

A good monitor, not the best

The monitor itself is pretty good, however the camera doesn't pick up colours and isn't very clear especially when it night mode.
I find the connection drops out randomly for at least a few seconds at a time, even though the rooms are next door to each other.
The set up was relatively easy, but when trying to make sure the view was correct it was a two person job, as you can't have the parent unit near the camera.
I also wish there was an option to take a screen capture or recording.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the monitor, but I'm not sure how it will cope once we set up the second camera. Show details ·  1

Good Deal, But Overheats

Good deal with the recent sale.
We favour oricom over any other because in our experience they hold more charge then other. We are happy with the purchase however my only concern is that the monitor overheats and get quite hot. Show details ·  1

Poor quality. Don't bother. Buyer regret

Our unit is 15m long and the signal drops out from our babies room to the master room (we do not have concrete walls internally). The unit has to sit in the lounge for it to work. Resolution is rubbish and grainy. Audio is acceptable. I like the night light & melody function. Wouldn't recommend. Show details

Not great

It's got good features but I payed cheaper for an older version that was much much better video quality. I can hardly even see the child, lucky I mainly wanted it for sound as my child is now a toddler but if he was a newborn I would be very unhappy

Instant buyers regret

I bought this camera to monitor my daughter who has special needs at night. The camera quality is very poor and the sound cuts in and out. The camera also over heats overnight and turns off by the early morning. I would not recommend this camera. Show details

Glitchy, keeps losing link from next room, poor quality, loses link, temperature wrong, horrible product, do not buy!

Battery dies quickly, blurred image

I was so excited to get this after my friend recommended it. But the battery dies literally 5 mins after being off charge.. and the image is very poor quality

save your money and buy a better monitor

The battery for the parent unit monitor definitely does NOT last 6.5 hrs.. lucky to have an hour if that! The temperature monitor is far from accurate and the cry alert does not work 80% of the time. After all that the whole camera part stopped working after a few months of using it?? Now trying to get a refund and they’ll only give me a replacement! Also have to fork out money to return it even though it’s faulty. Just don’t buy an oricom monitor!! Show details

Absolute heap of crap

Range is terrible, we have a tiny house and it still cuts in and out. Two tins and a piece of string would probably work better. Don’t waste your money on this camera. Not to mention the temperature gauge doesn’t work accurately. Show details

Good camera with great night vision! Disappointed with battery life of monitor!!

Range sometimes drops in and out, happy with the image quality and audio. Disappointed that the battery life of the monitor does not last long. After 2 hours of being off the chargers it is beeping to warn that device is going flat. Very easy to set up Show details

Excellent costumer service

Great monitor.
Has alot of great features like temp, lullaby and the option to add additional cameras.
Easy to set up and very clear camera.

I had a problem with the screen on my unit over the last couple of days the picture on our monitor screen is becoming increasingly blurry like the camera has lost focus. I emailed oricom customer support & told them what was happening. They asked a few questions and then proceeded to replace my unit with a new one. They responded quick and easy to communicate with & was very understanding. The new unit arrived and I sent back by faulty one. It was a very easy process. Show reply

The room temperature gauge Is very inaccurate!

It's an easy-to-set-up piece of equipment, but ours at least has a significant problem with the accuracy of the room temperature gauge. We've used three other thermometers, which all agree on the room temperature - but our Oricom on-screen temperature displays as four degrees higher, even after being recalibrated to drop it by two degrees!

The reception for this is beyond horrible. I used for 2nts and went back to my original Oricom 710

Really bad signal, it needs antennas on both the camera and the parent unit. I have a Oricom 710 and it works perfect. Was easy to set up but shocking signal. Show details

I just got the oricom 860 today.
When the screen is in sleep mode the noise is on constantly and then the screen does not light up when bub makes any noise.
Does the screen not automatically go into sleep mode and then activate when noise or motion is detected? Seems silly if it doesn't as I have an older cheaper oricom that does do that.

Hi I have a Secure860 and I’m trying to figure out if at night, the screen can be off but light up when baby moves/ makes a noise? I’ve tried the ‘cry alerts’ and set screen on and beep and vibrate.
