Perfect coverage of the room, you can manoeuvre itto suit where you child is within the cot, also has motion detection.

Only down fall to the device is when trying to mount the device so you can see your child there is no where you can attach to wall/crib your only real option is to have a table etc nearby

Stopped working 5 months after we got it due to the charging in the parent unit. Used it until we couldn’t no more, got a replacement and within 2 months the same thing has happened. Wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. Customer service at oricom was good but don’t have the time to keep sending back faulty monitor and paying for delivery cost to return.

Shocking, terrible, disgusting product
We are now on to our second one after the shop blamed user error the first time. The second one now only 5 months old has about a week to go until it is also worthless. I sent an email to Oricom support after reading the reviews to give them a chance but after a response asking for proof of purchase we have not heard back. Please buy a different brand and save yourself the headaches.

Stops panning and the monitor doesn’t hold charge
Not satisfied with the product at all. Had the camera replaced due to it stopping panning within a few months and now the replacement won’t pan. The monitor wouldn’t charge properly and the cable falls out. Now it won’t charge at all and only works when plugged in = nightmare. So unreliable and disappointing

Poor Warranty Support
Only ever received one power cable with the unit, which we assumed was meant to be shared between the camera and the parent unit. Apparently we were meant to have received two cables, and the cable we've been using has damaged the parent unit and it will not charge. After lodging claim, Oricom offered to fix the parent unit, but will not supply the second cable that was never included in the first place! They said we should have read the instruction guide and we should have known a cable was missing. But really who reads an instruction guide fo...r a "plug and play" appliance?! Unhappy with the resolution, and since it took so long for them to process the claim, we've had to buy another unit (which was cheaper and so much clearer). Will not be shopping Oricom again, and would not advise others either!

Great customer service, not so great product
We owned this system for about 3 months until the screen's USB port wore out from every day use and would no longer charge.
To be honest, it's pretty disappointing quality for the price (even though Oricom is an Australian company and the price will understandably be higher)
HOWEVER, the customer service was great. Oricom gave us a replacement unit the same day (via baby bunting) and we chose to upgrade to the SC870.
- Decent range, never had an issue inside the house (medium side 3-bedroom house)
- OK battery life - it would last most of the night. Iusually had to plug it in to charge in the early morning
- OK screen, it was clear and legible in most situations...

Camera stops panning after 1 month
Camera stopped panning after a month. Googled to troubleshoot and found countless others with the same problem. Wouldn’t offer refund. Only replacement. When I asked if I could get a refund if the second camera fails I was told I was outside the purchase warranty for a refund (I purchased on sale in Nov 2019, baby born was in January 2020, we only started to use the Camera in May when baby moved to the cot.) I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchase.

Costumer service was not helpful at all!
I purchased this monitor for quite a lot of money, and the charging port at the back of the monitor has broken after only 4 weeks of being used. Oricom refuse to replace it even when under warranty. Very poor quality and horrible costumer service.

Oricom Secure 895 baby monitor is absolutely useless and not worth the money you pay!
Video monitor quality is absolutely average and that's about the most useful thing in this product. It does the job - you can see that your child is still in the room but movement lags and view of your child is very blurry.
Onto the parent unit. Firstly, the charger for the parent unit never worked from the moment I took it out of the box. I called Oricom and they sent out a new charger. It's now broken again after three charges. Trying to call Oricom this time has been unsuccessful, put through to voicemail twice after holding for 15mins each...time. The functions don't work. Even on the lowest setting, my VOX function goes off every 2-5mins saying sound alarm even when the room is empty. Motion setting is also useless because it alternates every other 2-5mins with the sound alarm. So I can't mute the parent unit and rely on motion and sound alarm because it would literally keep me up all night. Instead, I have to keep the volume on for the whole night on low, which plays annoying static noise and I can barely hear when my LO cries. Leaving this on all night obviously then drains the battery. Which you can't charge, because the chargers are faulty. Every time I psych myself up to use it again, I regret it and give myself a huge headache. Leave this one on the shelf, people.

Look elsewhere and save yourself the trouble!
We've had intermittent issues with this product where the receiver just doesn't receive a decent signal from the camera and all we hear is a loud crackling of static.
Stupidly we decided to purchase a second camera seeing as we already had the other one. Well the second camera won't even show a picture...the room is only 4 metres from where we are and we can't even get a signal. Absolute rubbish product and the fact that they are allowed to sell it at that price is a disgrace.
Save your money and look elsewhere. I wish we did.

Worst Baby Product I Own
This monitor has caused more stress than good. We are already onto our second monitor as the parent screen charger has stopped working. Tonight our new monitor has just stopped charger through the night and the screen has gone flat. Oricom make it very difficult to get a refund or exchange and instead ask questions like are you using the correct charging port and try to make it your fault that the product is faulty.

Monitor has terrible battery life. I feel like I constantly have to plug it in for it to work for a few hours which defeats the purpose of having a monitor if i can't take it with me half the time.
The lullabies barely work for baby to hear. It's also frozen a few times and it's brand new.

Device is ok to set up, the sensor pad is excellent - the parent monitor is prone to break, easier to deal with Oricom than with Baby Bunting. A bit complicated to deal with the support line, but they do ring back and work to resolve the issue. I've changed this review because they are doing the right thing by sending me out a new parent unit and battery - warranty good for 3 years. So let's hope this next one works longer than 4 months hey ? $100 per month of use.... sad really... buyer beware is all I'm saying...

Really unhappy with this monitor. Its one of the most expensive monitors on the market but it has to be one of the worst. I bought this monitor a few months before my baby was born so by the time I got to use it last month, it was too late to return it.
The image quality isn't great compared to some other monitors and even if it is daytime, the monitor is black and white instead of colour. The image in colour is blurry as well.
The lullaby function can't be used as it's super loud on the parent unit but can barely be heard from the camera. ...The camera can pan up to the ceiling but doesn't go far enough down so I cant see my baby in the cot with this camera without having to somehow mount it high on an angle which makes it pretty useless. I've been using this monitor for a month now and have had issues where half the time the zoom button doesn't work and sometimes the monitor screen goes black. Now the camera won't go left or right when pressing the buttons.

Tiny field of view. Doesn't look down at bub but can look at the ceiling. Constant feedback if you want sound on. Bright lights on monitor cant be turned off.

We habe the same issue as another has posted in relation to the Sc895. Our original parent unit will not charge as the cord no longer connects properly it just falls out of the unit. We no longerhave our receipt for this although only 12 months old. Please advise which parent units other than the 895 we can use which will be compatible with our 895 cameras?

Hi there, my SECURE895 monitor is showing bright colors for all objects but shows baby/adult bodies as a dark black blue. Is there a mode it is stuck in or has the monitor failing.

Hi - the parent unit continuously freezes? At least twice a night, I have it plugged in to the charger and on all night and need to reset using a needle. Surely it shouldn't be freezing!!
