Look-wise and setting unit up after installation is bloody fantastic. It has plenty of cable length to mount main unit in any hidden spot. The 'dash' unit will fit anywhere and look like it is supposed to be there and these are the only things that are good about it.
The transmitting range seems ok, but the receiving of a transmission is absolutely appalling. On very rare occasions, one could pick up a clear signal and even then the vehicle you are receiving it from would have to be driving over the top of you.

Oricom UHF 100, a piece of rubbish

Second trip 4x4 and same problem the receiving transmission on full volume was so weak that I had to turn the radio off, air con off and...
Good quality Separate Head Radio
I bought this from an ebay authorised dealer, arrived in the mail DOA.. However, ORICOM Sydney instructed me to post it to them "Reply Paid" along with receipts, and they immediately posted out a brand new replacement.
The separate head & base allowed for creativity in installation of this unit, and it has a standard external speaker jack in the back if you want to install a speaker at ear level and "Hide" the base unit. The handy controls on the mic are a plus if you want to change channels without taking your eyes off the road.
Transmission sound is excellent, and the head unit looks handsome on the dash.
Separate Head unit space saviing, controls on mic
Print on buttons difficult to read, color changes on head but not mic.
