Staff are predatory
The staff are like seagulls. If you throw chips at them, they'll aggressively eat up the chips you gave and try to coerce you into giving them more. If you show signs of being vulnerable, they'll launch at you aggressively and will try to take every single dollar you have.
They'll manipulate and gaslight you into giving your money wherever they can, and will act aggressive if you don't give in.
You know the manuka honey exfoliator that they put on your hand and when you rub the liquid, white little flakes rubs off on your hand? That's not what a real exfoliator or scrub does. With a bit of research, it's actually GLUE, so when they brush it on your hand, it makes flakes come up.
Just like everyone else in these reviews I was basically coerced into buying this mediocre product. This happened 3-4 years ago - I was only reminded of it when I was cleaning out the bathroom drawers - and it's amazing that the same tactic is still being used! My experience was a little creepier however, as I was only 16 at the time and didn't know how to say 'no' to the creepy and extremely pushy sales rep. He rubbed this stupid stuff all over my face for about 20 minutes, making me extremely uncomfortable, and kept saying how beautiful my sk...in was. EUGH! I should have kicked up a fuss then, but I hadn't experienced anything like that and was way too embarrassed to tell anyone. Trust me people, there are much better skincare brands out there that won't cost you an arm and a leg OR violate you in the process of buying!!!
Good product, horrible staff.
I was in Highpoint getting shoes for work when this lady catches my eye and pushes this free sample into my hands. I was polite and said I have to go. She is asking all these questions and doing my nails when I didn’t ask. She basically forced me to buy this product I can’t afford saying “I will discount it”. She is then trying to push more products on me. It seems like it works well getting rid of dead skin but horrible way to sell products. Are these people trained this way? I am actually scared to walk in that entrance of the mall again. Horrible bullying.

Ok product but horrific company
The product itself is nice to use but I’m not convinced it does what the sellers tell you it does, but also NOT worth the $160 price tag or the absolute bullying you receive to purchase it. I’ve read other reviews from different locations and they have all been identical to my experience. I was lured to try a tester and me being too kind to say no I said ok I’ll take a tester, and the lady dragged me to a seat and made me sit for her to put products on me. I had both of my small children with me in a pram who were obviously upset and wanting me...to keep walking but she kept pressuring me to stay. She ended up testing this product on my hand and I was moderately impressed but told her I couldn’t afford it. That’s when she offered me a free facial, and I told her no I can’t I have to take my kids home. She walked over to her boss and whispered soemrhing to him and then comes back to me and she literally takes her phone asked for my NUMBER and says she will text me so I have a way to contact her and book in for a free facial when I’m kid free. I foolishly believed her and gave into her pressuring and bought the stupid product hoping to at least get a nice facial out of it. Sure enough I text her the next day to book in a time and no reply. I walk past her at the stall every time I’m in Westfield geelong and feel sick to my stomach that I wasted the last of my money on something she conned me into buying. Seriously people don’t buy from this brand!!!

Manipulative if you see in a shopping centre RUN
Horrible manipulation from the sales people, had the same experience as other users, I was dragged into a stall and told to try the product on my hands, then was shown how after using the peel the moisturiser sinks in more, only he didn’t think I noticed on the hand with product on he put a dab of moisturiser and on the other he put quadruple the amount? When I pointed it out to him I was told ‘no no darling it just soaks in that much better using our Manuka honey scrub!’ Then when I kept refusing he kept lowering And lowering the price. Blatan...tly using dishonest tactics to push the sale by using different amounts of product and lying about it. Do not deal with this people they are dishonest and obviously not selling a high end product if they can halve the price and then some when you refuse.
Manipulative, pushy, rude sales assistant not adhering to COVID-19 safety laws. A violating experience.
I was accosted by a pushy and manipulative sales assistant outside the store on Little Collins Street in Melbourne today. The woman lured me in with over the top compliments on how good my skin was, and insisted I needed to preserve it. She sat me down and started using this product on my hand, which removed the top layer of skin. She didn't ask, but she just grabbed and started doing this. It was a gross violation of my boundaries and my body. Her spiel continued for ages and she kept pushing a $300 kit on me, offering more and more freebies i...ncluding free facials in store and soaps and extra products. She didn't care that I didn't want to buy anything and kept falsely lowering the price, saying it was below cost (I find this hard to believe). When I encountered her in the street she was friendly and I simply thought she was going to offer me a sample in the store but she just went on and on and it was almost impossible to leave or get a word in. She had no respect for my boundaries and did not adhere to covid rules. Her mask was down under her nose and she kept grabbing my arm and hand and sat way too close. As she figured out she wasn't going to get a sale from me she became visibly angry and rude. Very manipulative behaviour all round. I am very well educated in psychopathy and abuse and she was employing psychopathic techniques in order to try to make a sale. I was not impressed and I felt grubby and violated from the experience. I even considered going to local police afterwards to report their behaviour which I consider extortionate and very risky during covid. Currently considering other avenues to report this brand and stop them from behaving like this with decent and unsuspecting customers.

Firstly the staff at the Westfield in Geelong grabbed my arm & made me go into there shop & test out products after telling him I wouldn’t buy them & I couldn’t afford them.
He said that’s okay it’s $200 and I could give me a discount of $100 I said no I can’t he said hang on I have a ripped box I’ll give it to you for $89 I said no I have to go he grabbed my wrist and said no no test it out the moisturiser isn’t absorbing into your skin. I told him I use high end products I’m not interested he then ask...
My experience with Origani has been terrible, I purchased the products mentioning to the rep I have very sensitive skin. He ensure me that the products are natural and will be perfect for my skin. I started using the cleanser, night cream and the face peel, instantly my skin broke out in massive blind pimples almost like zits, my skin was so sore to touch it hurt even showering with my face under the water. I stopped using the product after 3 week. I was told me skin my break out and then it will clear up hense why I carried on using the produc...t. I contacted Origani and heard nothing mentioning I would like a refund, 5 weeks after stopping the routine my skin was still so tender and red. I contacted organi again as I went to a beautician to analyse my skin, my skin was burnt from the products, I contacted organi again mentioning I would like to return the products and have my money refunded and how terrified I am of the products. I got an email back saying sorry and to come in store for a free facial, I thanked you for the facial and declined as I do not wish to use any of their products on my face. 6 months later origani have not made any contact or resolved this matter. You are more than happy to take someones money but you are not happy to resolve or refund when the product is not suited for someone. I have now paid another $2800 to get my skin back to how it was before using your products.

Psychopathic sales person
I feel compelled to write a review despite quite some time has passed, as I see how others have had the same unpleasant sales technique experience. So it’s obviously still happening which means the company is either not managing this or approves of it.
I actually bought two products at the time, the peel being one of them, at the Hobart mall. I must say I felt mentally battered after the experience. Even after buying two products the sales person wouldn’t let me go, nearly physically obstructing me from leaving. He talked fast and just wouldn’...t stop. I noticed similar comments from others as I looked up the company’s website with the intention of buying another peel. Today I found my jar at the back of the cupboard and it still had a bit left over. So I used it and despite several years gone by, it still worked wonderfully. But finding the jar immediate reminded me how awful I felt at the time and quite some time after! I actually had to become angry to get away from this man, not that this put him off... The product itself is great. Product 5 star, experience -5.
Pushy sales tactics - waste of time
I was completely turned off buying any of the products due to the pushy and invasive nature of the salesman in Melbourne Central store.
He must have wasted 20minutes of my time despite me repeatedly saying I would have to think about it before purchasing. Also disappointed that he tried for all this time to sell me the Manuka Honey Face Peel for $165 and at the very last second dropped the price to $99 which I later found out was the price on their official website! So glad I didn’t fall for his awful sales tactics having seen the far reduced ...

I encountered different sale persons at different occasions and places. Their method of approaching was invasive and impersonal, the same.
It is not a coincidence that many reviewers here shared the same experience. Suffice to say that this is definitely their trained method directly from the Origani.
Don't bother sending info about their misbehaving sale persons to them, they all have known too well about what has been happening. A long list of bad reviews have been here for many years, still they took no action.
If they had done something, there wouldn't be new reviewers coming here every now and then.
Clearly, this is a disgusting company period
I don't normally write reviews, but this experience just kind of blew me away to be honest. This is not an inherently bad product, but the way it was being sold to me was awful. Very pushy woman who would not take no for an answer even after saying I was in a hurry 'if the product feels good on your skin why are you not buying it??', and happily went on about how large my pores were. If anyone from this company happens to be reading this, please discourage this behaviour from your salespeople. First impressions matter a lot, and unfortunately this experience became my first impression of your company. It has soured my view of the brand and I can see that I'm not the only one who has encountered similar.
The approach technique used by your consultant at Westfield Geelong was what I found to be very suggestive to myself. One comment was Would I rather the product or himself. I also find it very concerning the difference in pricing that people get offered for the product at different stores reading other reviews . I was told for $200 I could get the Manuka gel. Online at origani it's $165. On eBay it's $140. I was also offered the same product from the consultant for $100 dollars as the box it was in had a little mark on it .

Hi, I want to support [name removed] comments and endorse everything she has written in her review. I was unlucky enough to come across the same saleswoman at Bergamo airport, with the same sales pitch and bizarre approach. I felt totally belittled, patronised and taken for a ride. Shame really as I could have quite liked the product. For sure I will never fall for this trick again!

Dangerous mental salespeople.
I was approached by this woman at the airport who made me buy the honey when I simply said "ok" to another question. She prepared the package and gave it to me. At that point I was like.. Alright. I was stupid and bought it. After this, she's like "you're so lucky because today we have our acne expert here with us! " , this italian-canadian very mean lady who tried at all costs to sell me anything else she could, even trying to play with my psychology. She lied about her position, said that she works at the Canadian embassy and that she was the...re because she wants everyone to have perfect skin. Then she goes like "my husband is a psychiatric, I can read you. You suffered a lot from the past. Your mom loves you but envies you at the same time, she's jealous of your youth" At that point I was total what the hell and left. These people are dangerous, this brand should shut down. Please share the message.

Is it safe to use when its already expired?
Just used my open bottle again (expiring on 2021) after a couple of months & surprised that after 10 seconds, no dead cells came off like before when I rinsed it off with warm water. I also saw my skin tightened in the horizontal direction that I applied the gel. Was I supposed to massage it first before dead cells come off?? Am guessing that I bought it late 2018 or mid 2019? Is the tightening the effect of expired product?
