Website is misleading with delivery times and inflexible with cancelling orders
Website says dispatch within one to two business days but only after contacting customer support do you find out that it will take another 3-5 days for delivery. So you are potentially looking at 7 days!
After finding that out, I said I wanted to just pick it up from local Oroton store (they still get to keep my money!) but they said they were unable to contact the warehouse to stop the dispatch. How ridiculous is that! (I could understand if it has already been dispatched).
Lost delivery - no compensation, no replacement
Oroton have refused to compensate / replace my lost purchase. The delivery was signed for by someone not me. And they are refusing to replace lost / stolen purchase.
Recently visited the Sydney Westfield store and had a great experience. The young lady who served me was super helpful and knew her products. Recommended.
I bought a Melanie style handbag . Admittedly it is about 4 years old , but very lightly used and the stitching has come away, near the base of the bag I went back to the store and was virtually told " bad luck " . This is not good enough . The bag cost Aus $495 .
Poor quality Oroton , a brand that has been held in the highest esteem in Australia --what has happened ?
Wear and tear....really?
I purchased a medium sized handbag. There were three sizes available in the style I liked, however they all had the same sized shoulder strap and same sized hardware attached to the bag to hook the strap to. Obviously, the medium and large were greater in capacity so required different, larger hardware and larger straps and I did notice the anomaly at the time of purchase but because I liked the style, I bought it anyway. I had the bag for 3 years and only used it, at most, a dozen times because fortunately I have other bags to use. In any eve...nt, I never overloaded the bag, but the hardware pulled out of the bag's sides. On referring the matter to Customer Service, I was told "wear and tear" because I had bought it 3 years before. In fact, it had received very little "wear and tear". Such a poor response to a genuine fault issue with the manufacture. I was not requested to bring the bag into a store for assessment. Nevermind, I got the hardware replaced and a new strap at my own cost. Strap looks so much better than the original one. Incidentally, the bag repairer I used, confirmed the issue to be a manufacturer fault. Disappointed with Oroton's "brush-off". No longer support Oroton.

I have received the bag however I’m not happy with the Gold, it’s tarnished. And bent.
the bag isn’t worth the money. The hard ware looks terrible, very disappointed.
I will return the bag.
Poor quality and terrible customer service
A few years ago I bought a bag at Oroton, I just graduated uni and wanted to celebrate. I walked in very excited and went straight to the discounted section (as I did just start my new job, so wasn’t loaded). I liked one that was out of my reach and went up to the counter to ask for help. The retail assistant walked straight past me and asked this old guy (who clearly had money) if he needed help. He pointed to me and said ‘she was before me’, with no apology she asked me what she could do for me. I said I would like the one on the top shelf an...d she got it down and I bought and paid for it (even on discount it was still $550). When the retail assistant asked for my name, she laughed at my last name saying ‘that’s funny’. I have never encountered such a rude person before in my life, which resulted in me never buying anything from Oroton ever again. I am so glad I didn’t because today my bag just broke out of nowhere. I have bought two bags from Micheal Kors, one was 7 years ago, and they still look brand new. Would never recommend this brand.
Wrong Item > Right Item and a APOLOGY GIFT
I placed my online with Oroton during an explain 'moving of stock' from location to location. Not to mention, the panic of the Pandemic being added stress for Oroton.... they made a mistake with my order.
When the parcel arrived it seemed I had received another person's cute gold earrings and not my Handbag. I proceeded to get in contact with the international call service where I was on hold for no longer then 5mins. A kind help person 'Angela' was able to address the situation straight away! She assured me there had been a hiccup in the del...ivery and not to worry as another bag would be on the way FREE OF SHIPPING CHARGES. Regarding the earrings I received, she was kind enough to allow me to keep those as an apology from her team. My bag arrived within 2 days of that phone call. Angela was so helpful and kept me updated with the whole process of the shipping and processing of the bag from Aussie to New Zealand. So whoever 'Angela' is, she was awesome and really good to deal with. I am so pleased to have received my bag which is gorgeous and is of a high quality. Pleasure shopping with you Oroton!
Very bad reputation . No word to describe. ZERO STAR
I bought the item online but realised I put down the delivery address incorrectly. I chat with a customer service online straight away. She advised me she can’t alter the delivery address. Then I asked her to cancel the order so I can reorder with the correct address. She also said it cannot be done. I then asked to speak to her manager. She then told me to call the customer care hotline to speak to manager. I called the hotline but no manager available to speak to me. I told them the company website stated the order can be cancelled but othe...r told me no sorry this order cannot be cancelled. I am so disappointed as nothing can be done so my item will be delivered to the wrong address. I felt they got my money and do not care anything else. Never do the business with you again.
Worst product and even worse cs
The brand has the worst customer service. Save your money for a bigger brand instead if you’re going for luxury. I ordered a bag and I was extremely disappointed in the quality. The handle and the logo suggested that bag has been used and then sold to me as new!
went into oroton Parramatta today as I purchased a gripbag online and wasn't happy with it.i explained to the manager and staff the problem I received nothing but attitude and rudness from them had to go in twice to solve the problem,parramatta oroton as a loyaty customer for more than 20 years in ur store you have lost me as a customer .
My Oroton bag. Leather peeling off. Crack all over in the bag.
I bought the office leather bag. Only used 5 times. I stored in my linen cabinet. No sunlight and cover in the Oroton store bag. Recently talk it out to use it again for my meeting. Found out the bag is cracked and leather is peeling off. Disappointed as the bag was over $500.
Got there in the end!
I originally bought a bag, which flipped open and tipped forward, resulted in everything falling out, each time I used it. I called to find out how to get a refund... but was told the bag would only be accepted for a full refund if in new, wrapped and unused condition. I explained that I couldn’t possibly know the bag would flip open on use, if I hadn’t used it. After much arguing, I asked for a Manager. The bag was finally refunded in full, and I then found they’d come out with a similar one - but which works perfectly... so I bought that one instead. Didn’t need the hassle, Oroton. Your products are great, but your customer care? Not so much!
Deplorable customer service
If there was a zero, it would be just that ZERO.
Being an avid Oroton customer for almost 40 years I suggested to my daughter she make her next bag purchase an Oroton bag. She did so and purchased from the DFO outlet in Sydney. After purchasing her precious bag and less than 3 months after purchase the strap snapped in 2. We went along to the Parramatta store and were advised they would replace the strap and would be in contact in approximately 7 days as there they do not have that particular strap in store. Nothing was heard from the store and...
Very bad customer Service!
after purchasing my bag, I found one scratch on the top hem. The manager of the store told me I must pay extra for any exchange as the sales period is over! I have to pay more because of the factory fault! Their customer service is awful! I am disappointed!

Hi I’ve stored my bag in the Oroton dust bag. I went to use it and found that the bag is stuck to the dust bag I tried to get it out but my bag is all damaged. I had to peel the dust bag off it and it tore to shreds. What should I do? Can this be fixed?
I was given a beautiful Oroton umbrella for a gift and therefore no receipt
The umbrella won’t stay open and the stem won’t extend

Ring and ask for an exchange. If the won’t help, ask for your call to be escalated to a manager. They will eventually help, but you have to persevere. Good luck!
