Poor sales tactic. Beware
Wasn't advised that there is no exchange of the table we bought only found this out in the terms & conditions on the invoice after the sale. They dont tell you this before you hand other the money. Poor sales tactic. We purchased a 2 drawer consult table for our foyer. After unpacking it realized that a 3 drawer would look better. So re-packed the table back in the box called the store asking could we exchange for bigger table which costs more money. Was told no you cant. I explained that there was nothing wrong with it no just would like the 3...drawer bigger would suit our entry better. I asked to speak to the manager, was told he wasnt in and would be back on Tuesday. Sales person said she would get him to call me when he was back in the store. No call was received but I did receive an email stating the same thing once you buy we cant exchange it just because you change your mind. sorry.

Damaged unit, manager not interested
The unit I purchased was delivered and arrived with a 2cm sq chipped off the veneer. I contacted the store immediately and spoke to a lady that needed to speak to her manager. A manager that couldn’t be bothered to discuss it with me. The manager left it up to the poor lady in the store to deal with me. The reason I couldn’t do anything “floor stock”, which I didn’t notice had a piece missing because it was surrounded with furniture covering that area when on display in store. I assumed it was done during delivery. Now I have to go through a re...pair process on a new item. My only option was to return it for store credit. This would have meant I lose out on the delivery fee as well as needing to get it back to the store, another delivery fee, then choose something else that in store, I didn’t like much else in the store. You may as well sent me a reply via email, the lady that called obviously had her hands tied, she was just able to parrot what she had been told by others to tell me. Lesson learned.

Great service when selecting item but poor service in delivery
Top service by salesperson when choosing my dining table.
The timber was Australian but it was made in China. I was told it would take 4 months to arrive.
Unfortunately the item took way too long to come from China & the item still hadn’t arrived after 6 months. Monthly emails kept saying the item was coming or “not too far away”. Suddenly my item appeared in the warehouse. Sadly I had to cancel the order after the manager promised delivery & then it never showed up. No phone call… nothing!
I was not offered any compensation or reduction in price after the inconvenience of waiting for that extremely long time.
A disappointing outcome… the matter was resolved as I received a full refund. Unfortunately I’m now without a dining table.

I happened to call in to your Caringbah store after I have water 4 weeks for my order with no communication. I happened to call past the store to see if there were any further updates only to be advised that “no 4 weeks after order! And that is been advised my order was coming in on 31 July… I did make the order in May.. no communication… rude customer service except for one lovely lady
The Product we received was faulty and we are waiting for a replacement, said it would be around 2 weeks

Dreadful Customer service -again
I note the review of Bridgita on 5 July and sadly have have a similar experience at the Coffs Harbour store. Whilst most of the staff were helpful and polite, one would benefit from some respectful customer service skill development. I am happy the quality of products received but they took 4 + months to arrive and the service I received when trying to coordinate delivery/ pick up was nothing short of abysmal.
I arrived to collect an armchair and pay the remaining balance after phone discussions with an employee who told me to collect from ...the store that week. I was horribly humiliated in the store, by a woman who spoke at the top of her voice and spoke over the other employee who initially assisted me. She very rudely informed me that my chair wasn't there, it was not going to be transferred there from the warehouse for me and that I had to arrange a time to collect with the warehouse at a different location the next day as I 'obviously cant expect to just go to the warehouse anytime'. She also chose to repeat loudly a number of times that it was my fault the chair wasn't delivered with my lounge earlier that week 'as you couldn't afford to pay for it to make that delivery'. Humiliating! and this was not the series of events, even if it was that is not something to be shouted out in a shop for all to hear. I did not appreciate her looking down her nose at me with her assumptions smugly saying -'yes I've heard all about you and how you couldn't afford to pay for the chair until today'. At no time did I receive an apology for the lack of communication, the miscommunication and wrong information provided or the delay. An offer of an employee who lives in my suburb to drop off my armchair made on purchase was swiftly denied and rudely refused. A couple of things to note Oz Design- I was actually about to place an order that day for a number of other pieces of furniture worth thousands of dollars but obviously walked out the door after experiencing that behaviour. This woman did not behave like a person in a customer service role. Sadly, that behaviour has resulted in the loss of a large sale, future purchases, word of mouth and this very negative reviews. Also Oz Design, my lounge arrived in the same delivery with products from Harvey Norman - greater in number delivered by the same company. Why was the Oz design delivery fee three times that of Harvey Norman for exactly the same service? This whole experience was very upsetting and I left the store feeling humiliated and quite perplexed at her behaviour towards me considering the amount of money I had spent there. I'm feeling at this time I will never shop there again and am recommending others also shop elsewhere.
Bad quality ad customer service
We bought Ashton Sofa.the fabric quality is really bad and is peeling within a year. When we reached out to the customer service they said they can't do anything about peeling and its not part of warranty. Really disappointed with product and the service.
Be prepared to wait.
Pretty shocking. We ordered a table beginning of this year. Every month, we call and ask when it will be delivered. The answer is always in a couple of months. Now, we are told September, nearly a year after we ordered the table and still no guarantees.
The operators on the phone are very arrogant and rude, and blame everyone and everything but themselves. In our case, COVID is the answer to everything. Can't build a table because COVID apparently.
They will not refund unless we pay 30% restocking fee. I should've read the fine print I gues...s. The rude operator is very quick to blame the customer for not noticing this little gotcha, and boy do they do it with glee! Essentially, OZ Design sell you the idea of a product in store. All the risk on you, with a hand waving 6-8 week delivery promise, which has turned into 9 months (MONTHS) and counting. Essentially, they hold you to ransom. I imagine the table will be out of fashion when we finally receive it, or, we'll have moved house and it won't fit in the new place. I'll probably have a long white beard and reminisce fondly about how nice the sales lady was and the promises of tabular glory soon to descend on my family, as I rock back and forth in my rocking chair, old and alone, wondering when it was my son last called, awaiting my dinner from the lovely staff at the sunny hill nursing home.

No Exchange - very disappointed
Sadly the chairs I purchased and paid for 100% in advance don’t blend in as well as I hoped with my decor.
The very next day after collecting them I requested a simple exchange of leg timber colour and it was denied.
I had not even asked for them to be assembled (as claimed on pick up) as it would have been easier to transport them unassembled and we found an Allen key wedged in the leather seat and one leg is incorrectly attached.
Oz Design management I spent over $3000 that day and will never spent $1 more ever again.

Not worth the money!!
We have had the couch for about three four weeks now and it already looks like it's two years old. The cushions lost their shape the mid part cushion is not full as the rest of them so it actually hurts when you want to lie down. Also the cushions get lint I will post a photo. And mind this is after a about a month. Don't know what will happen later on. 3,500 dollars not worth it at all. And go figure did so many pics says can only put 10 MB so if anyone wants picks just text me on messenger.p

Dreadful customer service
After not hearing about my delivery I called the store. The woman I spoke to was highly unprofessional, rude and dismissive. She deliberately tried to create an argument which I had to diffuse. She told me she didn’t have to pick up the phone as it was 8.50 am. That she’s busy doing other things and can I wait. She then had conversations with her colleagues about the cold weather. It was a complete joke. Then blamed me for missing a text about the delivery. Beyond words to describe the interaction.
poor and pathetic service

I almost took all my home furniture from you Marion store in Adelaide .
Initially as promised my Lennon Dinning Table arrived couple of month late ( not weeks months)
When it was deliver the top was damaged and it took them another 4 months to get this replaced
Now being replaced - not only the initial problems remains - top with cracks - we have a new manufacturing error - Dinning chairs and Dinning table stands do not match ( ...

Poor service levels
Good product. However service was well below that of competitors. No greeting or acknowledgement to long waiting customers. Had to negotiate to get the online price, treated like they were doing me a great favour.
COMPLETE JOKE OF A COMPANY
Ordered a lounge it came damaged, dirty and falling apart and abused by delivery driver. Still waiting 2 months with no lounge for them to fix it, waited 20 days and still not even at the repair location only 2 hours away. Complete joke of a company that sells the worst quality furniture I have ever seen.
I purchased furnitures (i.e dining table, entertainment unit and chairs) in February 2021. It has been more than 4 months and still no sign of these furnitures. No notice about the delay and when contacted the customer service blames it on the supplier. Such crappy experience!!
Questions & Answers
Why does the Store Manager continue to deceive and lie to customers? I am astounded that she is still in this role. A clear case of promoting people well beyond their capabilities. I would like feedback from the staff? How are you coping with incompetent management?
Just assembling my Padma glass top dining table and I can't work out how to affix the glass top to the base - can someone help with this please? Thank you.
