Waited 16 weeks
Waited 16 weeks for a lounge sweet then sat and waited for delivery it turned up 6.45 at night with no offer or discount never again.
Very Disappointed with couch
4 years ago we purchased a Kate couch from OZ Design. After less than a year one of the legs started to wobble when you sat on the couch.The fabric was also pilling more than I expected for the amount of wear. When we lifted the couch to check out the leg, it fell off. I initially left a message for the manager, and later had to ring again. He was sceptical but said that he would organise a pick up. The guys who came to collect the couch were rude and disrespectful and suggested that legs never fell off couches. I was glad that I had the fathe...r of a music student in the house as I felt quite intimidated. Of course, as they lifted the couch, the offending leg fell off. They took it and returned it 'fixed' 2 weeks later. Last week the leg fell off again when we changed the loungeroom around. It was obvious that the screw had been glued back on rather than re screwed. My husband screwed it back on from the edges and now it feels more secure. Disappointing as I like to support Australian made, but won't be buying from this company again.

Waited three weeks late for collection. Then had a different chair sent to store which had to be returned and an still waiting for the final chair to turn up.

Don't buy the Ash lounge with a chaise, it will almost double the price and it'll be too short and uncomfortable, it'll also make the lounge noisy.

13 Weeks turned 6 months and counting
[name removed] in the Northland store was polite and helpful when we purchased the item. We paid in full upfront and for premium delivery. Unfortunately a max 13 week lead time for our couch and cabinet turned into 6 months. We still have not received the cabinet and have been informed the warehouse will not deliver a second time and that we will have to pick it up once it is available (still unable to tell me when that is) which is terrible customer service. The couch is nice but leaves wrinkles and dents after being sat on, that it doesn’t re...semble a brand new couch after just a week. The one in the showroom didn’t do that. Appalled that Oz design will not do a second delivery considering we have waiting half a year for our furniture. Will never be buying from here again, would recommend going elsewhere.

Furniture was amazing.
The products were fine but the slow delivery and lack of communication about the late delivery was terrible. I had to call asking where my delivery was and no one really cared that it took extra time to arrive.

When trying to connect legs to table , the inserts which the bolts go into were completely rusted and could only get 2 of the 4 bolts in. Had to drill and screw the other 2 legs myself. Maybe use stainless steel hardware next time , I paid more than enough for this table and will not use oz design again.

We ordered 6 dining chairs and three do not sit flat to the ground; they rock. We are in the process of arranging replacements but that is proving to be a challenge task. We are also waiting on a sideboard, hopefully that is better quality. Very disappointing.
Chairs great! Service, poor.
Chairs were easy to locate on the floor. Disappointed to find that we had to order and wait for only 2 chairs.
Wait time was misleading. Originally told Early September for arrival. After paying the deposit, she said that it was Early September for arrival to the depot in Sydney and they would be at Kotara Mid September. Didn’t actually receive the chairs until October.
We found the retail assistant to be quite rude and sarcastic. I think she realised she had been rude and tried to be nicer throughout the transaction. But the damage was done....

Bought table/chairs and was told there would be a long wait which we were happy to wait. We paid extra to have the whole delivery put together. The two drivers then tried to leave the rubbish (there was a lot) and asked where our bins were. We were under the impression that the removal of rubbish was included. As our bins were full the driver took it away with them. Some feedback for the delivery drivers is may be they could have a broom with them to sweep up any mess made whilst assembling.
We looked over the purchase and noticed that one of...the chairs was damaged. We were told to collect a replacement chair, weren't offered any delivery. It wasn't put together which we were happy to do ourselves. BUT when we tried to put it together it was missing all bolts/brackets. All that we were given was the seat and legs. We phoned again and explained the situation. I asked if a chair could be brought to the house assembled and the girls confirmed they would do this so we didn't waste any more time. The replacement chair was brought that afternoon. Customer service was great when handling my complaint the second time, however, would've been better if it didn't happen at all. In the end, the lovely lady that came to my door was super efficient and fixed up the mess for me. Very grateful.

State of delivered furniture was disgusting
My brand new CREAM lounge was delivered unwrapped & covered in dirty marks and scuffs. They offered to refund the delivery fee but that doesn’t even cover the cost of getting it cleaned. Very disappointed
Nice furniture, poor and rude after sales service
The furniture we purchased is very nice. Unfortunately the experience has been soured by poor and rude after sales service. The salesman told us that cushions were included with the suite. They were not delivered. When I enquired why not, the staff told me they were not included and that they were not privy to the conversation between the salesman and myself. My word was not good enough. Having spent $5k with this company, it would have made a lot of sense for them to honour their salesman's word and keep me happy for the sake of a couple of cushions. But apparently not. I will not return to Oz Design Furniture and recommend that others have every minor detail of their order recorded in writing.

Heads Up about Delivery
Ordered 5 Mango Creek items. All were delivered ok (some assembly required) but the 96kg Extension Dining Table is still in the box waiting for me to find several people to help me lift it onto its legs (driver warned me not to pivot the table on its legs - they will snap off). Knowing this Oz Design should have their delivery people add this service. Especially after spending many thousands of $ on this order.

Initial service in the store was great. However there after was awful, rude and abrupt. Would not recommend to anyone.
Love love love the couch. The guardsman spray I got didn’t even cover 2/3rds of the couch with one layer. Nor was I told I had to manual spray the couch. I was lead to think it was a service and would come done. I did not want to spray poison in my house with my pets around

The initial purchase was a good experience. However then the price dropped significantly on a product that i had on pre order i questioned this with them and their unwillingness to help was very disappointing. Took a few phone calls and emails before i was responded. Only to be told they would not help me. Be wary thats all when making a purchase as you can save yourself quite a bit if you just wait till a sale.

Shame about the lack of organisation
Great product, we love both chairs we brought and super comfy.
Communication, organisation and management of the order needs a lot of improvement!!
We chased and chased for information to be advised finally there was a delay in one of our products, chose to take the floor stock only to be sent several messages and reminders to pick up our chair when it finally arrived!! Team A doesn’t talk to Team B, lucky I’m an honest person otherwise you would have given me a free chair!

Great Decor Bad Customer Service
The store is very easy to navigate and find what I was looking for and the range of items were exceptional which is more than I can say for the staff. No one helped me when I was looking for home decor neither did they help me with styling different pieces together, I did it by myself by moving stuff around to suit.

returns process is awful
I was really happy with the service and the items I purchased (3 prints, a potplant and a rug) I was really unhappy about the returns process. I measured the space for my floor for the rug however I didn't factor in that the door needed to open and the rug was too thick. I feel considering I purchased several items that I would be at least able to return one item as it was a minor mistake. Instead I was left with a credit note and told I would receive it after leaving the stall and then I received an email saying that I have less than 6 months to use this credit. Sadly I wont be returning as your returns process is awful.
Disappointed - Poor fabric quality
The staff in store were wonderful! Unfortunately after approx 6 weeks the couch started pilling all over. I contacted them and they said it is not covered under warranty and told me to buy a haberdashery comb. When spending such a large amount of money on a piece of furniture I would expect it to last a little longer. It looks dreadful.

New manager had no appreciation for a customer that had spent $10k in the shop, only her sales budget mattered as she was new, poor customer experience, previous manger was great to work with , delivery exp also too expensive for local

Poor instructions and not happy with the quality of some of the chairs, as they were not drilled out for screws to go in & are wobbly. If I had known that I could have got someone to assemble for me, I would have. I think that for the trouble we had to assemble our purchase, not worth the $149 each Chair. I also think that the delivery fee is way too high but I had no option.

Very disappointed at what we received compared to example on showroom floor. The quality and finish, especially the paint work, was very inadequate. Shoddy work resulting in paint work that resembled a finish that looked more like the undercoat with no top coat. All the more disappointing considering the cost of the item.
We will not be returning, nor referring.

Very unhappy with the broken coffee table
I ordered a Celeste coffee table. Waited two weeks. When I went to pick it up from the store the staff told me that the box had been opened by them. I brought it home and even before I was able to fully open the box pieces of tiny shards of mirror were coming out onto my loungeroom floor. I didn't unwrap it as the top of the mirrored table was clearly broken. It was obviously broken by being dropped during the transit to the store. I also noticed the legs of the table were not finished properly. I then had to drive back to the store with the broken table and get a refund. Very unhappy with the quality of the product and that the staff didn't check that table was in good condition and intact before I was asked to pick it up.

lack of follow through with order and dismissive staff
It took over 30mintues to get any member of staff to help me when I purchased items in early January 2020. I eventually bought 2 items & paid in full and arranged delivery. I was informed that one of the items was on order and would arrive in country within 2-4 weeks which was fine. After four weeks i went in store to check on the progress and was informed it was in customs which was fine and it would come in the next 2 weeks... 3 weeks later i went back in store and was dismissed by a member of staff and told it is all to do with the current g...lobal COVID-19 outbreak. I informed this member (who was not the member of staff i was working with) that the item in question was in stock a month prior and the 2nd item was in customs. It became apparent the items were never moved to my order at the warehouse which was the reason for the delay the entire time and had nothing to do with shipping or customs. I came close to cancelling my order and if i was to purchase from Oz Designs again would question going back to Moore Park. No apology for the dismissive staff or explanation was given for the delay or run around.
Questions & Answers
Why does the Store Manager continue to deceive and lie to customers? I am astounded that she is still in this role. A clear case of promoting people well beyond their capabilities. I would like feedback from the staff? How are you coping with incompetent management?
Just assembling my Padma glass top dining table and I can't work out how to affix the glass top to the base - can someone help with this please? Thank you.
