Honest Review after 6 months use
After reading all the fabulous reviews and also being keen to support products that are Australian Owned I decided to try the OzHead straightener. For the first few weeks it was good, previously I had a GHD that lasted 10 years and I even have one of those old Wet to Straight Hair straighteners that is also still working so I was disappointed when problems occurred with my Oz Head, first the vibrate function didn't work and then completely stopped working. Credit to the company though they sent me a replacement. However now 6 months later th...
Read moree same problem has occurred. Now I'm left with the option to send the hair straightener back at my cost and wait for them to fix it. I'm not entitled to a refund despite the fact that this is the second straightener that has not lasted. While I understand this is the company policy, after two straighteners having the same problem I don't really want to get a third one...so their warranty system of 3 years does little to help me. I have since purchased a GHD and to be honest if I had my time over again I would do it again. Full credit to company though they did send me a replacement no questions but now this has become my back up straightener rather than my go to one. It may have been a bad batch of straighteners but they never confirmed if that was the case.Court

It didn't wow me
I've had my OZhead for ages when it came with a weird little bunny toy. I've barely touched it really.
It was being compared as being on par to GHD.
I remember not being hugely wowwed but i just went "meh " and wanted to support a local.
I have used my oz head recently. My hair has changed its quite dry/brittle and this straightener didnt really do much for me my hair went drier after usage (thermal products used as well) and didnt really stay straight (only for an hour.) Im not really sure what the vibration does but that still works and it still has never snagged so that's a plus?

Was a xmas pressie
Its ok does the job no better than the last one i had for $50. No auto switch off if you leave it on have done this twice now for 24hrs and the plates stopped vibrating properly after i left it on. Its a year old this month. Prob should have insisted my husband by the ghd i wanted since all these products are overpriced and it was a xmas pressie that im now not happy with.
I just thought after reading so many good reviews it would be a better product.

Good straightener but style doesn't last
This straightener is the best in regards to how your hair feels after you use it, it's the first straightener to glide absolutely effortlessly through my hair, leaving it soft and shiny especially compared to my ghd, which feels like I'm killing my hair. The finish however leaves more to be desired, I have to run the straightener through a few times to get it as straight as I like it, but after ten minutes my hair is frizzy and looks like I've merely blow dried it and not straightened it, it's worse when I step outside. I have a baby and the on...
Read morely time I make for myself is to do my hair and given that time is precious I would hope that I would see long lasting results for my time. I am quite disappointed, you however get what you pay for, although now I am regretting the money sadly. It does leave your hair really soft though, however they need to work on the smooth and straight. Glides through effortlessly, makes hair feel soft Style doesn't last , frizzy within minutes, might be better for someone with thin hair1 comment

Hi Shiv. Thanks very much for the review.

Mixed feelings
Been using the OzHead for about 6 months now. Initially it was really amazing and now the vibration function only works occasionally. It does still heat up quickly and I think it's good value for money.
As many others have said, customer service was amazing. If only the quality of the product is also as good I'd happily pay more to get another one.
Value for money, Customer service, Performance is OK.
Don't expect top of the line quality

Not sold!
I bought this and a Halo ceramic at the same time, used each on either half of my head. The Halo left my hair slightly silkier but only just so I thought I'll wait and see how long each last. I have a lot of hair longish and very curly. I straighten once a week as my hair is quite dry and my ghd just stopped working after 8 years. I tried this both in vibrating mode and not. Didn't really see any difference. A couple hours later I looked in a mirror and the Ozhead side had gone all poofy and back to wavy. Had to straighten it all over again. V...
Read moreery disappointed! I had been inside my house and it wasn't humid weather or anything. After reading all these reviews I'm shocked and disappointed that this didn't work for me considering the price was great, I love that it's made in oz and the company seems to be very customer focused. I will be returning this as its within the 14 day money back period, shame it'll cost me another $20 or so in shipping though :( Great sleek looking machine, good design with quite a few functions. Did not work for my hair.Questions & Answers

I had a Muster straightener 20 years ago which I loved and replaced with a GHD when my sister took the Muster when she moved out. It was back in 2005 and GHDs were just as good (if not better) than the Muster. When the GHD died about 7 years ago, GHDs were not made the same and I have just been buying cheap ones. I am on the search for the 'holy grail' straightener that achieves results like the original Muster and GHDs. Does anyone have experience using these classic ones and can provide some feedback on what they have found available now that is similar? Thanks in advance! :)

Hi. I'm thinking of purchasing your product for my daughters, ages 11 & 12. The younger one has really curly, ringlet type hair and the older one has dead straight hair. My hairdresser told me that a hair straightener should be able to straighten and curl hair. Is this correct? Thank you.

I have gone from natural curly hair to smooth straight hair and loving it, great product and so handy to have at home saves you money as you can do it at home,

Hey Anita, Yes your hairdresser is absolutely correct :-) You can curl and straighten with the OzHead straightener very easily. Kind regards.
