Ozito products – I have had a lot of problems with Ozito . I have had 2 whipper snippers. a mower and a drill. The mower is the only thing that is still going and that was after replacing the battery and charger. Was given a replacement battery and charger for a whipper snipper but it still didn,t work. I am very unhappy about the money I have wasted on these products. Contacted Ozito and got nowhere. Show details
Very good – I have found this product very good value for money. Used for part time light handyman work, batteries when charged lasted for a long time. No issues with charger. Reasonably light weight. Compact carry case is very practical. Finally the gear mechanism is failing after lots of work. I reckon I can sell the batteries and charger. Show details
Not perfect but OK for the price – After searching through the collection of battery power drills at my local hardware store, I purchased this Ozito because it came with a spare battery and charger unit all packed in a well designed case at a very reasonable price. I use it mainly around the home for jobs that are too large for my small battery screwdriver to handle and it does… Read more · 1
these jobs without fuss. I would have preferred to buy a more expensive drill bot these were many times more expensive for eqivalent equipment packages. As I mainly use it for home DIY jobs it has worked out well without failure so far. A minor complaint is quite low battery life, and no indication of when recharging is completed as the charge light stays on all the time - overnight seems to work for me, but a fully charged battery indicator would help.
Poor battery life – It was a good drill for the general around-the- home jobs but I think it was poor that the battery was no longer taking a charge after just a little over 2 years & a new one was going to cost almost as much as a complete new drill. The battery manufacturers should be asked to improve their product. inexpensive & easy to use Unable to charge… Read more
battery. It kept indicating it was fully charged after only a few seconds on the charger. A new charger did not solve the problem.
A very good product – I have owned an Ozito cordless drill for quite a number of years. In fact, I must have worn out the battery. It came from Bunnings, of course and being so pleased with it I bought another. For $99 and with a three year warrant it would have to be the best buy on the market.. As said. Reliable, & inexpensive.
A very pleasent surprise – After owning some very poor Ozito equipment in the past i was absolutely blown away with this drill. With a 3 year replacement warranty and two batteries it was well worth the price. The main difference between this model and its predecessor is the exceptional battery life. The Lithium Ion batteries last for quite a while and most importantly do… Read more
not loose much charge (if any) when in storage. This is great for someone like me who does not use the drill on a daily basis. I can use the drill after a couple of weeks and have just as much power as I did the last time it was used. The charger is small and compact and the batteries are not plagued by the 'memory effect'. This means that battery capacity is not reduced by multiple use. The two speed gearbox is very useful, drill has heaps of torque, many clutch settings and a handy LED light.
After nearly 2 years of use i have been very happy, a refreshing change from the grief i felt with some of the older Ozito equipment i had. It's no 'Makita', but definitely worth buying. Great batteries, inexpensive, great warranty, perfect for the DIY enthusiast Batteries would not clip in properly (returned and recieved a replacement). Gear switch could be a bit sticky.
