Good service but inconvenient website for booking
My package was picked up as booked and delivered impressively quickly, no problems at all. And cheaper than Australia Post.
But I was hugely frustrated by the fact that I couldn't save my online quote. At every stage I found I needed to collect more details to complete the quote and had to re-enter it all from scratch every time. eg. I didn't find out till the very last step that I had to include my recipient's phone number. That meant logging out, emailing my buyer, and waiting for the reply. Altogether it took 4 attempts before I could complete it.
If I use this again I will have a better idea what details to get before I start, but I find the lack of such an obvious feature very thoughtless.
Could do better
Not sure which of three transactions this relates to. However, if it was pick up from Vida Pearson, she was disappointed the courier didn't arrive on the stated date and came two days later, after she'd contacted them
Working with Tony has been easy
Everything with pick up and delivery times was fine. My issue is what they did with my parcel. I packed 3 padded postage bags and taped them together with paints in the top bag, a computer tablet in the middle and clothing in the bottom bag. The tablet was in a bubble wrap bag then put into the padded postbag and was the middle package to ensure it would be well-protected. The receiver video'd it for me when it arrived and I was very disappointed. The top package was torn open one end, the clothing was slit open along the top and down the w...hole of one side but the worst was the computer... the padded bag it was in was nowhere to be found and the bubble wrap bag was torn apart so it had no protection left. Everything was then put into a DHL thin plastic satchel for delivery without resealing or protecting any of of my postage bags. Probably won't use again.
Seemed to be OK
Online booking process was fine. I was surprised to see my package picked up by a guy in an AusPost vest and loaded into a StarTrack truck -- are they all the same operator? The driver didn't collect the paperwork, even when I offered it to him. Eight hours later I got an email saying that my package hadn't been entered into the system, and asking if it had been collected -- not exactly reassuring.
Slow delivery which upset the buyer
was reasonably easy to use but the delivery was so. I had an upset customer that it took so long. The tracking said for two days that it was on board for delivery
Poor time estimate
Picked the package up when they said they would, but the 1-3 days is a flat out lie. Took 11 days from hallam, Melbourne - to Geelong. I've had packages from the UK get here quicker... Box was damaged but the internal item was packed well by the sender so was in one piece. I had also paid for signature on delivery, as it was an item worth over $400, they just dropped it at the front door. Carrier they used to pick it up in this instance was DHL.
Slow to pickup, fast to deliver
I've used them twice now and on both occasions, they took 5 business days to pick up our item(s) after having to chase up. The emails were responded to quickly and once picked up, delivered very quickly. But frustrating having to hound them to get someone to actually pick up. Makes selecting a pick up time a waste of time
Good service but could be quicker with response times
Service is good, friendly and fair. However, the website is lacking and won't always let you process your shipment there. You have to request for a quote and that takes time. You already lose a day unless you go straight to their office. Sometimes it's okay, but sometimes you want to know the price beforehand.
Good delivery just a small issue at the store
Good delivery service but disappointed that the store that the goods were dropped in to for delivery wouldn’t let me take out insurance. They wrongly told me I could only take insurance if they packed the items. Thankfully the goods arrived undamaged. And head office were good to deal with in regards to this concern.
Fast delivery, online process restrictions could be clearer
I was really happy with the time it took to send a package to Florida. The online booking process could be clearer, especially in terms of restrictions for some items.
Was not what I expected.
I recently sent a gift to the Netherlands for my granddaughters. The process here was easy and as described. The parcel arrived at the destination in only 6 days which was great. HOWEVER, when it was delivered to my daughter she was asked to pay 50 euro for import Tax also wanting an extra 17.50 euro for delivery costs at their end.
This was not spelled out on the online form at all. It may have been included in the small print but beware of this huge cost that you will not be made aware of when booking. When i challenged the cost they said tha...
My local Pack n Send offices are wonderful but their administration.....
My local Pack n Send offices at Blackburn and Boronia are terrific to deal with, and going to them is always a pleasant experience but their administration are awful to have to deal with when there are problems
Melb to Brisbane
No, the boxes were to be picked up Friday between 9 and 5. TNT were to pick them up from a residence but they did not show. After me ringing I was told they had been rescheduled to Tuesday (Monday was the holiday) - no reason, no excuse but i could drop them off at their nearest office. I did that Saturday morning and emailed them that that was the option I had taken. Yes, you guessed it, TNT came on the Tuesday - too late. All then went smoothly and they were delivered Friday, knocked about but intact.
