You can’t get away with people’s hard earnt dollar
This is for you [name removed]. We work 7 days a week just to save and build the pool and after paying u 95 percent already for 50% of job done u cancelled our contract as we refused to pay the remaining 5 percent. And a week after your business went into liquidation. The incomplete pool is the complete opposite of what we told you it should be. Which builder puts a concrete pool on top of the ground to save on digging cost. You’ve ripped us off and killed our dreams. I forgive you for ripping off my hard earned dollar but my God will tak...e control. You will remember all those who are suffering because of you, your sufferings will be way harsher. Deuteronomy 32:35 “It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.” Everything shall pass but God’s word will never. I fear for you
Poor customer service and all round service
This company never returns calls or responds to email. They are quite happy to receive the payment but once they do, you never hear from them again. I don't even know if I have warranty. I went up and down Withers Rd Rouse Hill and they are no where to be found. They are no longer at Castle Hill. Who knows if they are at Dee Why and Caringbah like they say. Applaud how I have been disregarded. No use leaving messages on their phone or email.
Paid $16,000 for no work done
This company promised us a speedy start and cheap prices to get us to sign the contract. However, it was a whole different story after we signed with them and paid the deposit. We got sucked into a nightmarish experience of constant delays and horrific customer service. After a whole month of time wasting back and forth with them, we got fed up and terminated the contract. They then demanded us to pay a termination fee of 20% despite not even having lifted a finger to build our pool.
We sought legal action. The termination fee was hidden in th...
Run as fast as you can
Every bad review on here is spot on! Do not use these guy’s, not only are they rude, never return emails or phone calls but their work is complete rubbish. We have a concrete hole in the ground and have been waiting for 10 months for them to finish/fix things.
They lie constantly and keep you waiting around with promises that someone is coming out,..no-one ever comes out..we have been promised someone will come out to finish the pool every week for over 3 months! Our “pool” is a concrete hole in the ground with no steps, When we asked wh...y our pool has no steps we were told that we were stupid to want steps! Even though steps are what we requested and agreed upon, they just did whatever they wanted and now we are stupid... only stupid thing we have done is to trust these guys to build our pool. We are now in the process of taking legal action, I will not be more out of pocket because of their lies and lack of ability. I have a long trail of emails that I have saved, I am happy to share these with anyone that wants to see them as proof of the pain we have been put through and how bad these guys are. Future or past customers, reach out to me and I can share what I have. Don’t walk away from these guy’s...run!
Unfortunately I am writing this poor review as I am now aware that many people have had a similar experience. Signed with [name removed], owner of Palm Pools on 1/2/2018. It is now 13/11/2018 and am still waiting for the small pool (3 metres by 4 metres) to be completed as once it was filled, it leaked more than half the water. Every step of the way has been difficult and the expense has blown out to be 50% more than the contract indicated. The project manager [name removed] was extremely rude and most unhelpful. The only person who did as they said they would, was the office person, [name removed]. It has been a very bad experience.
Sales pitch was perfect, original quote was a within budget! Time frame they gave me to complete it was a dream! BUT don't be fooled, once the contract was signed it became my worst nightmare. Communication was difficult, they lack in returning calls or emails so we were consistently chasing them, hidden fees blew our budget and it took them 10 months to complete!. Please don't be fooled, don't sign with Palm pools & Spas, if you do you will regret it. I know I do.
Re-lining of our swimming pool has taken almost a year and not resolved
Plumbing that was sub-contracted is faulty which means may not have the option to put in Solar as agreed. We have not received a response to formally resolve over a two month period.
We are not happy with the interior calling of the pool which we payed extra for. Again still unresolved despite multiple phone calls and emails.
Customer Service has been appalling inclusive of being yelled at told to go away.
I would never recommend this company
Having previously installed an extremely large concrete in ground pool at our rural property some years back with another company, I expected to have a similar experience, that is, no dramas or issues whatsoever. How wrong was I. A number of quotes were sort by pool companies in the Sydney area. [Name Removed] the son, came across as polite, knowledgeable and pushed the small family owned 30 year business. We chose Palm, Pools and Spas and that's where customer service ended. Long story short, emails and calls are not returned. The cost blew ou...t exponentially and they are very quick in wanting their cash. Once the concrete was poured, [Name Removed] the site manager said it had to cure for a month......3 months later after still no contact, I inquired what was happening and when would the pool be lined. By this time it was September 2017. I was asked, "have you put up your pool fences?" "No" says I, "well they have to be up before we can line and fill the pool." I'd expect paying such a large sum of money for a 8m x 4.5metre concrete pool, I would have been informed at the time the concrete was poured that I would require fencing before the next stage. Silly me!!! Even the tradesmen who did attend complained about the pool company, one in particular stating, he had to wait months to be paid and only agreed to do mine as he was told I'd pay him in cash. The concretors used corrugated iron from a shed we had demolished to form up part of the framework for the concrete. In the end myself and my family attended the showroom on no less than 5 occasions to get work completed. You know the 'squeaky wheel" principle. We received excuses that material for the lining coming from Qld, was accidentally sent to Melbourne then took more than a week for it to be re-sent from Melbourne to Sydney. Our pool was commenced in March and was not completed until November and this was only after much complaining and pushing from us.
New Pool at Cromer
Palm Pools just finished our pool at Cromer, the end product is great, although it took slightly longer than expected or what we had hope for. Red made sure we got the design we were after and navigated the council/compliance extremely well - some pool companies we dealt with in the quote stage couldn't assist us or wouldn't work around it or understand regulations. They were always available to assist during the process and did their best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. Some of the reviews I have read here don't reflect the experience I had with their team and customer service standards. It is a family company and you deal with the owner (Red) and his son/wife etc. and they were always available to us.
Please do your research on this company , they are not to be trusted , they have no good costumer service , never returning calls or emails , all they are interested is getting the contract, after that its a constant battle. My pool is a total disaster and a big loss of money , if only i knew that they had change their previous company name to this current one . Do not be fooled by there sales manager and the big sales talk full of empty promises .
Why are they still able to run a business
I wish I purchased an inflatable pool from KMART instead. The sales pitch, the promises and the extra money that I had to pay for supposed extra works was a joke. I hope the [Name Removed] can finally address everyone's problems. I wish these reviews were up when i signed up be WARNED...
Still waiting ????
Still waiting after 3 years for rectification works. Do not go to these guys they will make excuse after excuse and never return calls and don't follow through with their promises. [Names Removed] do sick of trying to get them to fix their bad workmanship. Beware
Like all the other reviews here: I was tricked by the whole "small family business" spiel... Build took forever, numerous instances of having to cough up thousands and thousands of dollars above the agreed build price, poor quality workmanship, cheap materials, pool not even built to standard, dodgy certifier, rude staff, hard to get in touch with anyone. One of their contractors told me that he was owed thousands by them as well. Seriously can't understand how they're still in business. Every time I think about the build process I feel terrible. Anyone considering building with this company: I hope you read these reviews and do your research. Anyone who has already signed with them? Lawyer up asap.
Terrible experience Terrible customer Service
Unfortunately we were roped in by the salesman and the small family business sales pitch. We had expressed our concerns in building a pool having had a bad experience in the past. Little did we know but this salesman's family was the other pool builder we had had the dramas with previously.
Throughout our whole ordeal the Palm Pools team were impossible to contact, never returned calls if you rang their mobiles and the office was a deadend also as no one was ever available to answer questions on progress etc.
The only time we heard from them...
Chewing broken glass would have been a better experience
This pool builder was aggressive and rude (when you could get a hold of them).
They have no idea how to build a pool (the dimensions of our pool are not what we signed off on).
The amount of time it took to build our pool is ridiculous (from the date of signed contract it took 2 years and 2 months to finish).
There was one employee that was excellent. He explained the process perfectly. The issue is that he was only assigned to manage our project in January 2017. By this time we were at our wits end. This employee no longer works at Palm Pools.
The payment terms were ridiculous. We paid 96% of the total when only 40% of the work was completed. Trying to get them out to finish the job was a nightmare.
Questions & Answers
Where has Palm Pools gone? Haven't been able to contact them for over a month and no response to phone messages or emails.
We have the same issue. Been trying now since the end of Feb 2019 to contact them by phone and email - no response. A search of the web takes you to Sunshine Pools and Spas. Similar details and names to that of Palm Pools. Different phone number - tried that and no response either. We even have a few tradesman contacting us for payment as Palm Pools haven't paid them.
Not sure where they have gone as we couldn’t get hold of them too ... they never answered our emails, only time we heard from them is when they tried to send us a invoice to be paid.
We are now seeing legal action.
Try Sunshine Pools and Spas Rouse hill. Looks suspiciously similar.
