Doesn’t help at all for hand arthritis
I have extreme pain in my thumbs and wrists from severe osteoarthritis. I have tried taking 6 Panadol Osteo in 24 hours a day and they don’t help at all.

Be very careful
I have been taking Panadol Osteo for over 10 years for chronic back pain. As I aged I knew I would get all the age old this and that pains and problems but it wasn't till I had two Total Knee Replacements surgery that I woke up to what this drug was doing to me. Every drug I had while going through the recovery of my surgeries I found I was rushing to the toilet with chronic diarrhea. So bad that I contemplating suicide. I weened myself of all the drugs that they gave me and I was still no better. So I stopped taking Panadol Osteo, almost immediately my bowel habits were back to normal. I just needed to go through the pain withdrawl slowly and have now got my life back to as normal as possible. Like I said be very careful.
Purchased in January 2009 at Chemist Warehouse for $5.99.

Recent research indicates Paracetamol is ineffective in treating arthritis pain
My pain level was 8-9 in my knees and hips. After taking 6 Panadol Osteo 24/7 for 1 decade, it did nothing to alleviate the arthritis pain. Clinical laboratory trials from over 3,000 patients confirmed that paracetamol was ineffective in treating pain for osteoarthritis of the hip and knee.
To make it worse, Doctors and Pharmacies are promoting Panadol Osteo (heavily advertised) as long lasting pain relief, it isn't. I am now off Panadol Osteo and my pain level is around 10-20, only by taking natural products such as, Glucosamine with Chondro...

Doesn't work with Degenerative Disc Disease
These pills are so ineffective, I have taken two every 2 hours over a 36 hour period with absolutely no relief at all. I have not had a single day without pain for over a year, and am currently stuck waiting to see a specialist before my doctor will even consider changing my meds.
Bad packaging
I have used this product for many years now for my arthritis. Since the packaging has changed its to hard to get the tablet from the blister pack. I am now looking for a new product. Very disappointing.
Ughhhhh
Took this stuff 1 hour and 40 mins ago and has done absolutely nothing to subside my period cramps. Still in tears and now just have to wait another 30 mins for the Nurofen Zavance I just took to kick in because I thought I wouldn’t need it.

Not Effective
Since Oct. 2017 when I was diagnosed with severe OA in my wrists and after trying several other medications including steroids from my Doc., none of which suited me, I tried Panadol Osteo and at first they took the edge off the arthritic pain in my wrists. My Rheumatologist told me they are safe to take every 6-8 hours, I try to get away with taking only 4 tablets/day. Gradually the effectiveness lessened and I stopped taking them when the blister packaging became so difficult, and used Nurofen instead. The Nurofen are no more effective but ...
Read morethey are too expensive. Recently I noticed on the package of POsteo 'modified release tablets' and wondered if they'd changed the packaging back. NO, worse if anything and regretting now that I purchased them, they are still difficult to release and they're also too BIG, I nearly gag on them. I may not even take them as they're totally useless.Purchased in March 2018 for $5.99.
Change of packaging
The change of packaging has now made it difficult to even get the medication out of the blister pack...
Will be looking for an easy alternative, very difficult, thank you.

This product does not help arthritis pain
I have taken Panadolosteo on several occasions for various types of pain associated with ageing, eg arthritis, sciatica. I have found that I get no relief from it, although my doctors seem sold on it. I then have nothing to take for headaches or similar.
Questions & Answers

I have been on Panadol osteo capsule 3 times
a day for 14months for painful bunyons and hammer toes both feet.
Had a double bunyon and hammer toes operation in January. This was effective in controlling the pain and I was walking well.
I was concerned about side effects so I have this up abruptly 3 days ago and have not been able to sleep properly since. Is the a side effect?

Yes, and I can’t get a answer. I’ve been off it for 6 days now, without trying, and I’ve not had the pain as I’ve had before, in fact, I’ve been heaps better and only using 3 x 150 tramadol. I am unusually drowsy and a nap puts me together again. In the past I’ve been known to say that I swear I have more pain when I take the panadol.
