My unit is not responding to the remote. (New batteries in the remote.) How can i tell if the unit is dead or the remote is dead?
Hi Sue, if you can operate the unit from the main unit, then the remote will need to be replaced. Details on a spare parts distributor can be found here external link

My DMR-PWT540 has suddenly lost some channels from the channel list. Scolling the channel up and down finds every thing except all the Nine and Ten network channels. Tried Auto Tune with same result. Tried manual tune for Ch9 and it just sat there searching for ages till I got tired of it and exited. Any ideas?
H Lester, it would be best to do a factory reset. If you have no luck, please call our customer service team on 132600 for further assistance.
I have a Panasonic DMRPWT540 DVD Recorder / HD Tuner (Australia) I have a DVD disc n the unit and I cannot eject it. Any ideas???
Hi Martin, you may need a service centre to remove the disc, please contact our customer service team on 132600 for further assistance.
Hi Thanks for your reply. I did finally manage to eject the DVD. I pressed the eject switch, just left it and waited for approx 30 minutes. The DVD unit seemed to get the message, the display changed from reading the disc back to normal display and allowed to eject the disc. Great machine and this is the first time it has let us down in 5 years!!! Great machine, would definitely recommend!!!
What do I need to do with a home made video (MPEG) to get it to play on my Panasonic PWT540?

How do i enter the code for LG Television ie 05 , 50 or 51 so that the TV operations buttons work on the remote for the Panasonic DVD Recorder DMRPWT540
How can I change the TV guide from Landscape to Portrait on my DMR-PWT540 Please
one day my blue ray disc player hdd recorder model number DMR PWT540, was working fine, next time I went to use it, when tuned on it comes up SET 1, you can not do anything pressed all buttons on remote it flashes but that it. no picture no sound, but it is still recording preset programs, have unplugged it then plugged it in again later. has made no difference.
Hi Allison, please contact our customer service team on 132600 for further assistance.
Set 1 means the unit is set to use remote 1. Your remote somehow has been changed to a different number, Hold OK button and the 1 {one} button on remote for a few seconds to change to Set 1. Recorder will now operate perfectly. Different sets are available if you have more than one Panasonic unit. If they were on the same set, each time you used the remote, every machine would react. You can change the set number in initial setup if you need to. New Panasonics let you have I think 5 sets.
Hi, I moved to Norwest (Sydney) and the technician had to turn our aerial to point to the secondary transmission towers for better reception. He changed the frequencies on our DMR-PWT540GL to the 500 range and all was good. Since then there have been new channels to add and I just pressed OK to the message to search for new channels. All are ok except for the ABC channel 2 set. They have gone back to the 226.5 frequency. I have done manual tuning on the 30 band for channel 2 with a frequency of 543.5 and it successfully finds them. However, the player is still using 226.5 and our reception keeps breaking up. How do I remove or override the 226.5? Thanks.
Hi Davo, you are unable to control this via the recorder. Reception is controlled directly via the antenna. You would be best to get in touch with the technician that setup the antenna again. It is not possible to setup frequency ranges on the recorder as this is done by the antenna.
Thanks. I'll give him a ring.
HI, when on internet functions like netflix, web browser, you tube, I keep getting operation failed message and it asks me to turn off device. Even when I do this it still keeps happening
