Nice little unit
Forgot we bought a while back and never really used it.I am now using as a dash cam after 2 accidents where the other driver lied to insurance(both crashes in my favour). I was too tight to buy a dash cam.Metal plate on camera base and magnetically seated to a magnet on the dash.Works flawlessly, and good that I have a factory fitted 230v outlet between seats so stays plugged in for my 6.5 to 7 hour drives.Simple layout for use and playback. If I want to use as normal I just unplug and remove. Will be looking for another battery though. Not bad for a budget camera as small and light also..
Easy to operate, very compact and minimal instruction before using
We decided to purchase a Video recorder for our holiday in Africa, hoping to film some exciting experiences in the wilderness and we weren't disappointed with this purchase. After many hours of research for the best model we finally settled on this model, for a couple of reasons, which included buying a product with a trusted brand name.
The battery does need to be charged up before using it for the 1st time and the basic manual provided in the box explains the process. One observation would be that the online manual for this product is defini...tely more helpful than the basic paper-based copy included in the packaging. There are three cables included in the packaging so I found it helpful to label each of them with tags, ensuring that the correct cable is used for the required purpose i.e. battery charger connection. Here's a helpful tip, once the camera battery is charged up and ready to use, remember to open the lens cover when you want to start filming, which is operated by a small lever towards the front of the camera. Starting and stopping filming is really easy and is as simple as either closing the side viewing screen back in place beside the main body of the camera or pressing the stop button. What I really like about this model is that is designed for both a basic user or the tech-savvy operator. To record your videos, you will need to insert a memory card, but once the videos have been stored, they can be easily uploaded to laptops and tablets by removing the card and inserting them into the chosen unit.
Questions & Answers
How would you apply the Date and Time while filming? I have already set the Date and Time but I want them both embedded while taking a video. Is this possible? Thanks Dante
