Great value and great products

Great premium and love being able to make my own changes on the web portal. Also, happy with the excess buster product meaning I don't pay an excess in the event of a claim.

Poor Customer Service - slow

Overall very poor customer service, failed to chase up and return phone calls. Unable to contact during business hours. Worth paying the extra $$ to go through a competent insurance company.
Do not recommend, will be changing insurance companies at end of policy

Just had our car fixed up after a smash. Found it very hard trying to contact this company,I count do it on line.rang them many times they wouldn't phone back. It might be Australian owned but to many foriegn people at call centre,they didn't understand English,I will not be renewing our car insurance with them.no way.

They don't get back to you. They are impossible to get hold of and they are by far more expensive. Go with RAC! They are cheaper, friendlier and actually contact you when you need them!

Protected no claims discount

I haven't taken out a policy but almost did...
I was looking at putting two cars on the 'bundler' option which gave a great price. It was only when I started to look into the policy that I discovered that there is no option to protect a no claims discount. I have 5+ years of no claims and it seems that with Progressive, if I had a claim, I would get loaded the following year and would not be provided with any documentation in relation to my no claims discount to present to an alternative insurer.
If you have an existing discount, I would think very carefully before going for the apparent cheaper quote.

Most of the reviews here are negative. The premiums are extremely competitive but does that come at a cost to the service should I need to make a claim?

Hi Giles,

Thanks for reaching out. Our claims process is first class for 99% of claims lodged, the only ones that have issues are as a result of either non disclosure or failure to follow our process at claims time. Unfortunately its only the negative comments that seem to make review pages though :(

Does PD advise when a comprehensive motor vehicle policy is due for renewal ?

yes they send an email advising you that the renewal fee will automatically be deducted from your nominated acc/ c/card about two or three weeks beforehand and to check the details and make any changes if need be

I have just paid for car insurance with your company and wanted to ask a question. I don't use twitter and I am concerned your company is a scam as I cannot speak to any one and if I ever have an insurance question how can I speak to anyone. If I don't get a reply quickly I will ring my visacard provider and cancel the transaction
